It is Friday and time for the Festive Friday Challenge!  The festivity we are being inspired by is the First Day of Summer #FF0060.

To play along with the challenge all you have to do is pick 3 of the items on the Inspo List and use it on your project.  Once your project is complete head on over the Festive Friday Blog and enter it in the gallery.  You have until Monday, June 8 at 8pm CST to enter.  I hope to see your entry in the gallery!

I was inspired by watercolor, patterns, and bright colors from the Inspo List.  This card is a mix of sneak peek items (Many Medallion dies and one of the new In Colors, Magenta Madness) and items carrying over from the January-June 2020 Mini Catalog Timeless Tropical stamp set and In the Tropics dies (purchase them as a bundle before June 3 and you will save 10%, Timeless Tropical bundle ).

I love the Many Medallions dies!  I can think of so many different ways  to use these dies.  Today I simply layered it over my favorite new In Color (at least for today), Magenta Madness.  There have been overlays before in different kits. I was always reluctant to use them since they were just a few of them but now I can make as many as I want which gives me permission to play. I think they would make fun stencils to use with embossing paste, brayers, and sponging techniques.  When I am in the right frame of mind, it would also be fun to inlay them in  different colors.  That's just a few ideas I have roaming around in my brain.  Hope to have a stretch of time to play.

I tried something new on the "aloha".  I wanted it to be raised up but wasn't sure how to do it since it is pretty skinny and I didn't think trimming dimensionals would be very satisfactory.  While I was thinking about what to do I remembered finding some white fun foam while cleaning out my room and yes, I decided to try and cut the fun foam with the aloha die.  It cuts like a dream, no problems at all.  I glued the Sparkle Glimmer paper aloha to the fun foam and problem solved!  This is an easy solution and so much easier than cutting tiny pieces of dimensional.

This week is flying by!  It is already Thursday and time for the Create with Connie & Mary Challenge. This week we have a sketch to challenge and inspire us!

One of the stamp sets I will miss is Seriously the Best stamp set.   I like the combination of the fonts and cutting out the larger word.  Here I embossed the thanks using White embossing powder on Flirty Flamingo cardstock and fussy cut it.  The longer sentiment was also embossed using White embossing powder on Granny Apple Green cardstock.

I paired up the Granny Apple Green Gingham from the Brights 6" x 6" DSP with Flirty Flamingo.  It is a happy, springy color combination.  The umbrella was stamped on Flirty Flamingo DSP and punched out using the Umbrella Builder punch.    The cute little bunch of flowers were stamped using Crumb Cake ink and colored using Flirty Flamingo, So Saffron and Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends.   Yes, it had to be fussy cut but fortunately it isn't very big or detailed.  

I created the stitched scallop edge using a die from the Stitched Be Mine dies.  Here are the sizes of the cardstock I used.

• Flirty Flamingo CS 4" x 5-1/4", 1-1/4" x 3"

Welcome to the Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop! We are all fans of this monthly crafting kit and want to share with you our enthusiasm for this box of fun and creativity. The beauty of the Paper Pumpkin kit is that you can follow the directions provided in the kit to make the projects as they were designed, or use the supplies as a starting point and let your creativity run wild. On this hop we will be sharing lots of ideas with you on how to use this May 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit: A Kit In Color.

This month's kit features  4 of the 2020-22 In Colors: Bumblebee, Just Jade, Magenta Madness, & Misty Moonlight and the Stampin' Spot was Misty Moonlight!  Highly anticipated and it didn't disappoint!  I love the bright happy colors of this kit and the stamp set will be used long after I have made all the cards.  

I used the Purple Posy note card and scored it 1-1/8", 2-1/4", (card is already scored at 3-1/2") and 5-1/4".   This card  was designed to fit in the note card envelope as long as the height of the card is not taller than 3-1/2".  

The striped paper is from one of the envelopes (note card) and cut at 7/8" x 5",  1" x 5", & 1-1/2" x 5".  

The first step uses the Magenta Madness twine,  the label from the kit stamped with the sentiment in Misty Moonlight, and the fun Just Jade puffy sticker.

The second step uses the medium size cloud and the vellum banner cut into a cloud shape, using the medium size cloud as a template.

The third step uses the large cloud, more Just Jade puffy stickers, the rainbow cut out from a banner, and the sentiment stamped in Misty Moonlight and fussy cut.

Such a fun kit to work with and the colors will bring a smile to your face.

I am back with another sneak peek using the Jar of Flowers bundle.  This time I am pairing it up with a product that is retiring, The Bird Ballad Laser-Cut Cards & Tin.  I just checked and it is still available for purchase and it is even discounted!  The tin and the cards are beautiful so be sure to order them soon.

The Jar of Flowers bundle is a 9 piece photopolymer stamp set with a coordinating Jar punch.  There are 4 different flower arrangements in the set and they are all fun to color.  I posted a sample with one of the other flower arrangements a couple of days ago.  This arrangement was colored using Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo, Bermuda Bay, Poppy Parade, Pool Party, and Old Olive Stampin' Blends.  The sentiment is from the Lovely You stamp set. I love the mix of fonts in this set.  

I lined the front of the Bird Ballad Laser-Cut card with So Saffron cardstock.  I cut the So Saffron cardstock 4-1/8" x5-3/8" and adhered it to the inside of the card front.using a thin line of  Multipurpose Liquid Glue. 

I also added a Pool Party butterfly using the Butterfly Beauty dies.  

Here is the card without the little butterfly.  Which do you like better?  It is a tiny detail and maybe hardly noticeable.

Are you ready for s sneak peek?  This year the Annual Catalog pre-order list demonstrators were able to order from was amazing!  I don't think there was a set, bundle, accessory, paper, that I didn't want. The ability to pre-order products is just one of the many perks available to demonstrators, I love it.  Being a demonstrator is a topic for another day.  You know you can contact me anytime for information.

Back to the sneak peek.  One of the bundles I ordered was the Jar of Flowers bundle.  This bundle is a photopolymer stamp set and punch.  The punch is a Mason jar and there are also Mason Jar Shaker Elements that coordinate.  So cute!  The stamp set also has 4 flower arrangements for the jar.  I chose to focus on the beautiful flowers for my first card.

Aren't these sunflowers so happy and cheerful?  Instead of putting them in the jar I stamped the flowers down the side using Early Espresso ink on Very Vanilla cardstock.  I used a mix of Pumpkin Pie, Mango Melody, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive and Soft Suede Stampin' Blends to color the image.  This floral arrangement is fun and quick to color.  

I wanted to add a little something more to the card so I watered down some Early Espresso ink and created the splatters using an Aqua Painter.  I don't do that often but maybe I should.  I like the randomness of the splatters.  The sentiment is from the Butterfly Gala set stamped in Early Espresso ink.

I added some Linen thread and a few Gold Metallic pearls to finish off the card.  Here are the sizes of the cardstockI used.  

• Very Vanilla Thick Cardstock 4-1/4" x 11" scored at 5-1/2"
• Early Espresso Cardstock 4" x 5-1/4"
• Very Vanilla Cardstock 3-7/8" x 5-1/8"

It is Thursday and time for the Create with Connie & Mary Challenge #CCMC613.   This week we have a color challenge.

Pretty combination but not one I would have thought of using.  To a Wild Rose is a set that I turn to often.  

I had to take lots of photos of this card.  Seaside Spray was a hard color for me to capture and also where I placed  my thumb changed the sentiment and intent of the card completely!   Definitely a blooper!  I didn't realize this and had a good laugh while I was editing my pictures.

This is a 2 Step and a DistInktive stamp set.  For the flowers I used the ink both full strength and also stamped off.  In the centers of the roses I used a Gold Glimmer Enamel Dot.   I stamped the leaves with Smoky Slate ink on Smoky Slate cardstock.

I love this border die in the Wild Rose dies.  I started using it in THIS card and have been using it a lot since.  Behind the die cut I inserted a strip of Sparkle Glimmer paper to add some shine to the card.  I love how it looks and am sad that the Sparkle Glimmer Paper is retiring and will not be in the next catalog.  I would encourage you to get some now if you like a glittery look without the glitter mess.  Also the To A Wild Rose stamp set and the Wild Rose dies are currently bundled, which means you can purchase them at a 10% discount.  In the upcoming catalog (2020-21) they are no longer bundled so if you want this bundle, order it before June 3.

I craft on a pretty large table and try (emphasis on try) to keep it organized and tidy.  While I was tidying up I found a flower that didn't make it on to this project, a Sparkle Glimmer paper swirl and a strip of black and white paper.  Looked like the makings of a card so I stopped tidying and started crafting. After all I think finding all those random bits was definitely a sign to craft and not clean.  Am I the only one that looks for these kind of signs?

This is what I made.  To my findings, I added some Rhinestones, Basic Black cardstock card base and a panel of Whisper White cardstock embossed using the Ornate Floral 3D folder.  This may be one of the quickest cards I have ever made.

Here's a rundown of where all the different parts of this card came from.  

• the flower is from the Floral Essence stamp set stamped with Versamark on Shimmery White cardstock and embossed with white embossing powder and colored using an Aqua Painter and Cherry Cobbler ink refill
• the leaf is from the To a Wild Rose set stamped with Versamark on Shimmery White CS and embossed with white embossing powder and colored using an Aqua Painter and Mossy Meadow ink refill
• the swirl is from the soon to be retired Parisian dies cut from the also soon to be retired Sparkle Glimmer paper
• the black & white stripe paper is from the soon to be retired Botanical Prints Product Medley kit

It is time for the Festive Friday Challenge #FF0059!  The festivity we are being inspired by is World Reef Awareness Week, which is celebrated on June 1.  The festivity is what inspires the Inspo List for the challenge.

I had a tough time with this challenge.  I finally decided to pull out a set that retired last year from the Stampin' Up!® annual catalog, called All the Good Things.

I chose, fish, aqua, and shaker element  from the Inspo list to use on my project.  I have written a tutorial on how I made this card and you can find it HERE.

I first used sequins as the shaker item but they did not shake very well.  I then mixed in some little silica gel beads that you find in packaging.  The sequins still stuck to the window sheet so I took the sequins out and just used the silica gel beads.  Don't you think it kind of looks like air bubbles?

Welcome to the Stampers Dozen Blog Hop!  Today on the hop we are focusing on the Retiring Products list for the 2019-20 Annual Catalog and the the 2020 January-June Mini Catalog. 

I chose to use the retiring products  Bonanza Buddies bundle and the Birthday Bonanza Designer Series Paper  from the 2020 January -June  Mini Catalog. I also used the the Well Written dies which are not retiring.

What do you think?  I love that the cute little animals are holding the words.  All the animals were cut out using the Bonanza dies from the Birthday Bonanza DSP!   Super cute and easy to do.  The balloons were also cut out from the DSP and placed on a stamped and fussy cut bunch of strings from the Bonanza Buddies set.  The presents in the back were also stamped and cut out.   I cannot call this fussy cutting since they are basically just rectangles.

Here are the basic details of this fold.  The main card base piece measures 5" x 10-1/2" scored at 1-1/4", 2-1/2", 4-1/4", 6", 8-1/4".  I used the Thick Whisper White cardstock for the base to make it a little sturdier.  As long as you  keep the height of the card below 4-1/4" it will fit in an A-2 envelope.

It is Thursday and time for the Create with Connie & Mary Challenge #CCMC612.  This week it is a sketch challenge.  Once you see the sketch I think you will see why I really like it.

Can you see why I like this sketch?  It is a variation of the 3 panel DSP card I have been making a lot of lately (here, here, here, and here,  there are more but you get the idea).  I chose the Magnolia Lane DSP to cut up for the panels.  Did you know this beautiful pack of paper is on sale for $8.05?  Well it is!

• 4-1/4" x 11" Early Espresso card base scored at 5-1/2"
• 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" Petal Pink cardstock embossed using the Parisian Flourish 3D folder
• 3-1/8" x 3-3/4" Early Espresso cardstock
• 3-3/8" x 3" Magnolia Lane DSP cut into three 1-1/8" x 3" strips
• 4" x 5-1/4" Whisper White cardstock for the inside of the card
• 1/2" x 4" strip of Magnolia Lane DSP for the inside of the card

1. Stamp the sentiment in Versamark ink on Early Espresso cardstock, cover with White embossing powder (shake off excess), and heat emboss.  Fussy cut the sentiment leaving a small border of Early Espresso cardstock around the sentiment. 
2. Cut a Whisper White circle using the Layering Circle dies. 
3. Stamp the 3 flowers(2 for the front of the card and 1 for the inside) in Early Espresso ink on a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  Color using Petal Pink Stampin' Blends (combo), Light Mossy Meadow and Light Old Olive Blends.
4. Cut out flowers using the Magnolia Memory Dies.
5. Layer the Petal Pink embossed panel on to the Early Espresso card base
6. Layer the DSP strips on to the 3-1/8" x 3-3/4" the DSP strips and attach to the front of the card
7. Attach the Whisper White circle to the DSP panel using Dimensionals.  Attach 2 flowers using Stampin' Dimensionals to the Whisper White circle
8. Attach the sentiment with Dimensionals to the Whisper White circle.

1. Attach the 4" x 5-1/4" Whisper White panel to the inside of the card
2. Attach the 1/2" x 4" strip of Magnolia Lane DSP to the inside of the card about 3/4" up from the bottom edge of the card
3. Attach the flower to the DSP strip
