Poinsettia Petals

It is Thursday my friends, which means there is a new Create with Connie & Mary Challenge.

ASID-CCMC627-PoinsettiaPetals

I used the oh so pretty Poinsettia Petals bundle and the Brightly Gleaming Specialty DSP.   The Brightly Gleaming DSP is one of those rare packs of paper that was carried over from a previous catalog.  It is a beautiful pack of paper with copper foil accents and a great non traditional color combination of Mossy Meadow, Night of Navy, Pretty Peacock and Very Vanilla

Before I forget, here is the sketch.

I followed the sketch very closely.

I used 3 different sizes of stitched circles from the Stitched Shapes dies.  The poinsettias were cut using Shimmery White cardstock.  Aren't the centers of the poinsettias pretty?  I used the Blue Adhesive-Backed Gems.  These gems come in 2 different sizes and 2 blues, Night of Navy and Balmy Blue.  They have an iridescent sheen and really catch the light.

The sentiment is from the Poinsettia Petals set and is stamped on a 3/4" x 3" strip of Shimmery White cardstock.   The tails were were cut using paper snips.

Here are the measurements:

  • Night of Navy CS 4-1/4" x 11" scored at 5-1/2"
  • Very Vanilla CS 4" x 5-1/4" inside of the card
  • Shimmery White 4-1/4" x 11"
  • Pretty Peacock 3-1/2" x 4-3/4"
  • Brightly Gleaming DSP 3-1/4" x 4-1/2" , 4" x 5-1/4" (circles), 1/2" x 4" (inside of the card)

Thank you for stopping by!
