ICS Blog Hop...Dove of Hope

ICS header

Welcome to the Inspire, Create, Share Blog Hop.  This month the theme is Christmas is Coming!  My project uses  the Dove of Hope bundle which includes the Dove of Hope stamp set and the Detailed Dove Dies.

From the first time I saw this bundle I knew I was going to order it.  Pretty much anytime I see the sentiment, Peace on Earth, I am in.  Add in some Peace-Joy-Love, hope in your heart and beautiful images well I am sold.

DoveofHope-ICS

I embossed the Whisper White CS using the Winter Snow embossing folder and then cut out the frame using the So Many Snowflakes die set.  Just to warn you, I am a little obsessed with the So Many Snowflakes dies especially this frame so you will be seeing it a lot.  The sentiment is embossed using Silver embossing powder on Vellum cardstock.  Behind the framed piece I placed a piece of Balmy Blue cardstock.

In the centers of the snowflake I added a Blue Backed Adhesive Gem.   Don't let that very utilitarian name fool you, these gems are beautiful and add lots of iridescent shine.  Would love them in more colors!  The dove was embossed in silver embossing powder and cut out using the Detailed Dove dies.  Heat embossing is always so pretty and I am sure is how many of us got hooked on stamping.

The last thing I added to the front of the card was some Silver Metallic-Edge ribbon.  This is still one of my favorite ribbons, it just adds a bit of elegance with its glossy satin finish and the shiny silver edge.  The fact that it is easy to tie, makes it even better.

Now it is time for you to hop on over to see what the creative Deb Naylor has stamped up for you.

More Most Wonderful Time

Yes, you guessed it another card using the Most Wonderful Time Product Medley.  A product medley doesn't include instructions to complete a specific project instead it is a wonderful coordinated collection of products (stamps, dies, paper, stickers, and embellishments ) that allow you to use your own creativity.  There are of course lots of ideas floating around to help inspire you.

MostWonderfulTime-11:6

The tree was stamped in Old Olive ink on one of the patterns of DSP and then cut out using te coordinating dies.  I love that the tree looks decorated with stars.  In the product medley in addition to the DSp there are 12 gold foil card fronts which I used on the card.  Love all the shine the gold foil brings.

Here's what I used on the card that was not from the Most Wonderful Time Product Medley.

  • Real Red CS- 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" card base,  1-1/4" x  5-1/8" strip (scored at 4-1/8"),  3-1/4" x  4-1/2" Stitched So Sweetly scalloped rectangle, 3" x 3" Layering Circles
  • Whisper White-3-1/4" x 4-1/2" Stitched So Sweetly scalloped rectangle, 3-1/4" x 3-1/4" Stitched Shapes circle
  • Dove of Hope stamp set for the sentiment on the inside of the card
  • Real Red 3/8" Sheer Ribbon

You can write here on the inside.  This would also be a fun place to put a picture or a gift card.  I will work on one soon,  I like the idea of the gift card!

Most Wonderful Time Product Medley

Bet you were thinking I was going to post another Quite Curvy sample.  I thought about it  and decided to play with another favorite thing...the Most Wonderful Time Product Medley.  I love how packed this kit is.  There is a stamp set, dies, paper,  sticker sheets, and embellishments.   You know what else i love about it?  I can order a refill kit and get more paper, sticker sheets, and stars!

MostWonderfulTime-CCMC637

This card was made using the Create with Connie & Mary Challenge #CCMC637 which is this sketch.

CCMC637

Can you see all the elements on my card?  I was pretty faithful to the sketch.

MostWonderfulTime-CCMC637-side

Here's what i used in addition to the Most Wonderful Time Product Medley.

  • Real Red CS card base-5-1/2" x 8-1/2",  layer around the DSP 3-7/8" x  2-5/8"
  • Whisper White CS inside card layer 4" x 5-1/4"
  • Gold Foil - 2-3/4" x 4"
  • Old Olive-scrap piece for the little Joy flag.

Everything else is from the kit.  I love that the DSP has gold foiling accents on one side of each sheet.  I love the little bit of shine it adds to the overall look of the card.   There are also 58 gold stars so for right now I don't feel like I need to start hoarding.

Be sure to check out what the rest of the design team created using the sketch.

Quite Curvy Rainbow

It has been a crazy year!  I wanted to make something to cheer us on, to recognize that we are doing great and offer a little encouragement.

QuiteCurvy-rainbow

Does it get any happier than a rainbow?!  I used the Curvy Dies to create this  curvy rainbow.  I didn't want the curves to be all lined up since  2020 has been anything but predictable or orderly.   If I had to recreate this card exactly, I am pretty sure I would not be able to.  I pulled out scraps and just started die cutting and arranging.

Here are the colors I used for the rainbow: Poppy Parade, Mango Melody, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple  Green, Pacific Point, Highland Heather, and Gorgeous Grape.

QuiteCurvy-rainbos-side

The Quite Curvy stamp set has the above sentiment and i knew it was perfect for this card.  This is me cheering you on!  Go us!

The little birds were added because well I couldn't resist, they are so dang cute.   Remember that saying, "put a bird on it"?  Well, the Quite Curvy bundle has certainly encouraged me to do just that.

Have a wonderful day and know I am cheering you on as you face the day with as much courage and hope as you can.

Quite Curvy Bundle in Soft Sea Foam

Back with another sample using the Quite Curvy bundle and yes, they are available to purchase now!  Here's a link to the flyer for all the information about this bundle, the Curvy Christmas stamp set, and the Classic Christmas DSP.

QuiteCurvy-SoftSeafoam

I started with Soft Sea Foam card base-4-1/2" x 11" scored at 5-1/2".  I embossed the front panel using the Tasteful Textile Embossing folder.  Using the Curvy dies I cut along the front edge.  The leaf image from the Quite Curvy stamp set was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento pad on Whisper White CS and colored using Soft Sea Foam, Mint Macaron, Just Jade, and Shaded Spruce Stampin' Blends.  The leaves were cut out using the Curvy Dies.   The leaves were a little too long for the front of the card so i did a little bit of pruning to make it fit and attached to the front using Stampin' Dimensionals.  Three little birds were stamped using the Tuxedo Black Memento pad and then colored with Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends,  Each bird was cut out using the Curvy Dies and attached to the card using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.
QuiteCurvy-SoftSeafoam-side
Three Whisper White flowers were added to the leaves.  The flowers were punched using the Confetti Flowers Builder punch.  In the center of each flower, a dot from the Playing with Patterns Resin Dots was attached.  The birthday sentiment was added from the Quite Curvy stamp set.

The Quite Curvy bundle (Quite Curvy stamp set and the Curvy Dies) will  also be available in the upcoming January-June 2021 Mini Catalog but you can get them now.  The Curvy Christmas stamp set and the Classic Christmas 6" x 6" DSP will only be available during this promotion and while supplies last.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you liked today's project!

Quite Curvy Bundle

Here's a little sneak peek of a bundle that will be available starting November  3rd.  It is called the the Quite Curvy bundle.  This bundle will be featured in the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog, but starting November 3 you can get it before the official release.  In addition you can also purchase the Curvy Christmas stamp set (available November 3 until January 4) and the Classic Christmas 6" x 6" DSP.

QuiteCurvy-11:1

The card base is Flirty Flamingo.  Before the edge was cut, the front was embossed using the Dainty Diamond 3D folder.  Here I used one of the curved edge dies to create the fun curve and punched out circle edge.  The flowers were stamped twice and cut out to create the beautiful garland.  The garland was colored using Old Olive and Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends. The cute little bird in the middle covers up where the 2 garlands meet.  There are 3 bird images and coordinating dies in the bundle and on this sample I used 2 of the birds.

QuiteCurvy-11:1-side
Four of the six sentiments in the  Quite Curvy stamp set are curved which is fun and adds an extra bit of whimsy. The little birds were colored using Pool Party Stampin' Blends and finished with Wink of Stella.  Interspersed among the flowers and leaves are Gold Metallic Pearls.

QuiteCurvy-11:1-close

This little bird decorates the bottom of the card and also acts to help keep the card closed.  The front edge slips in behind the bird's head and is easily released to open the card.

Check out the flyer for more information about the Curvy Celebrations products.
