Pretty Perennials and the Best Plaid Builder Dies
January 28, 2021
It is Thursday and time for the Create with Connie & Mary Challenge. This week the challenge is to use Black, White and a Pop of Color.
I pulled out my favorite pack of paper, True Love DSP and the Best Plaid Builder dies and created the polka dot black and white plaid background. It has been a bit since I created a plaid background and I am not sure I have every made one using patterned paper. I like how this turned out.
My pop of color is Real Red. I stamped the large flower from the Pretty Perennial using White Craft ink and cut it out using the Perennial Petals dies. The skinny flower was also cut using the Perennial Petals dies. I layered the flowers using a Mini Black Stampin' Dimensional and added a Matte Black Dot for the center. The flower was layered on to a Basic White circle and a Real Red scalloped circle that were cut using the Layering Circles dies.
A 2" strip of Basic Black cardstock was embossed using the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder and layered on to the plaid. The "happy" was heat embossed using white embossing powder on a strip of Basic Black CS and then fussy cut out. Again, I used the mini Black Stampin' Dimensional to attach the happy to the card front.
