Artistic Dies for International Friendship Day
July 09, 2021
Did you know that August 1 is International Friendship Day? This is just one of the fun festivities that provides inspiration for the Festive Friday Challenge. The Festive Friday Challenge is a bi-weekly challenge that is focused around an Inspo List inspired by the festivity. The Inspo List has 10 items on it and all you have to do is use 3 of them on your project to play along with the challenge.
What a fun list! So many possibilities. I have been wanting to use the Artistic Dies and thought this would be a great time to use them.
I cut the large bouquet from the Artistic Dies out of Black Glitter Paper. This paper will be available in August when the new Mini Catalog goes live. I adhered the sparkly bouquet on a piece of Pearlescent Specialty Paper that was cut using the Scalloped Contours Dies. The black glitter against the pearlescent sheen is really lovely and I wish I could better capture it.
To finish the card I added a sentiment from the Friends Are Like Seashells stamp set. Isn't that a lovely sentiment? I mounted it on a Blushing Bride card base. So far i used pink and friendship sentiment from the Inspo List. I decided that rhinestones would be another fun sparkly element and would also be my third item from the Inspo List. I am also counting the Black Glitter bouquet as the fourth item even though the Inspo List says glitter card.
Thank you for stopping by! Be sure to check out what the rest of the Festive Friday Design team created for the challenge

We both used a little poetic license on our cards this time! I think the glitter paper totally counts! the floral die cut image is gorgeous and looks so wonderful on that pearlescent paper. The die cut you used for that panel also works beautifully with the floral piece, and your card base color choice is also perfect. The bling looks fantastic too. I really love everything about this card, Sharon. What a great make for our challenge.
