Time for another card using some of the products in the Whimsy & Wonder Suite Collection.  

The Whimsy & Wonder DSP is a beautiful pack of paper especially if you like iridescent foil highlights.   You can see some of the iridescent shine on the Blushing Bride strips and also the Christmas ornaments.  The Christmas ornaments were cut from the DSP, love that little deer on the center ornament. This is a wonderful pack of paper full of fun and traditional designs all in a fresh and fun color combination.  The sentiment is from the Whimsical Tree stamp set and stamped in Misty Moonlight ink.

One of the cutest packs of paper in the Sale-A-Bration catalog is Penguin Playmates DSP 12" x 12".  This adorable pack of paper coordinates with the Penguin Place bundle in the July-Dec Mini Catalog and can be earned FREE with a qualifying order of $50 US (before shipping and tax).  

These 2 penguin cuties were punched out from the DSP using the Penguin Builder Punch.  The little hat and bow were stamped using the Penguin Place stamp set and then fussy cut out.  The striped background is also from the Penguin Playmates DSP.

Inside is the shadow box featuring more cute critters cut from the Penguin Playmates DSP.  The die cut snowflakes are from the  So Many Snowflakes dies.  The cute sentiment is from the Classic Cloche stamp set.

The beauty of this card is that it does lay flat and can be mailed in an A-2 envelope.

It is Thursday and time for the Create with Connie & Mary Challenge!  This week we have a sketch challenge.  

I knew I wanted to use the Peaceful Prints Designer Series Paper.  Love the patterns on this pack of paper and the price is amazing! This pack of 12" x 12" paper is part of Sale-A-Bration which means it is free with a qualifying purchase of $50 (US).  

Don't you just love the Cherry Cobbler and black plaid with snowflakes!  Love this design, wouldn't it make an amazing , cozy flannel shirt?  The whole pack of paper has that feel and is a great choice from the Sale-A-Bration brochure.  

In addition to the Peaceful Prints DSP I used the Words of Cheer bundle.  The "happy" die is the best.  It is beautiful all by itself.  You can also add on the foliage outline and change how it looks.  This is going to sound silly but I just realized I could use the outline happy by itself.  Very versatile and love the hand lettered look.

I added a few rhinestones to the snowflake and label.  Easy and simple card and a great way to use your DSP.  The pieces I used are 1-1/2" wide and 4-1/2" long.  You could make a lot of cards from a pack of Peaceful Prints DSP!

Not familiar with the Whimsy & Wonder Suite?  Here's a sample that uses  the products in the suite except for the Blushing Bride 3/8" Frayed Grosgrain Ribbon.

Those fun and fabulous trees were cut using the Christmas Tree Dies.  On the Blushing Bride tree I used the cut out pieces from the Misty Moonlight tree and inlaid them.  I did the reverse on the Misty Moonlight tree.  The middle tree uses the glittery Be Dazzling 6" x 6" Specialty Paper, a Sale-A-Bration choice (free with a qualifying purchase).  I taped the back of the Be Dazzling tree so the inlaid pieces stayed in place giving it a solid look.  The stripes were cut from the beautiful Whimsy & Wonder 12" x  12" DSP.  Can you see the iridescent highlights on the paper?  So pretty.  The Wonderful Snowflakes are also iridescent and a beautiful part of the suite.

Inside of the card I added more trees cut using the Christmas Tree die.  Aren't they so fun?

I just cannot stop playing with the Nature's Harvest bundle.  The large flowers are beautiful and make such a great focal point.  I think it is safe to say that so far it is the set I have used the most from the July-December Mini Catalog.

The flowers were quickly colored using Watercolor Pencils.  There are many ways to use the pencils and on this card I roughly colored the flowers using Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight pencils and lightly went over them with a Blender pen to smooth out some of the color transitions.  It took maybe 5 minutes.  The flower was cut out using the Harvest Dies.  I stamped the Basic White piece using the great sentiment from the Through It  Together stamp set in Early Espresso ink and then embossed it using the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.

Along the side I used a strip of  Harvest Meadow 12" x 12" DSP.   Around the flowers I added a few gold Metallic Pearls.  This is a quick and easy card to put together and can be used for lots of different occasions.

It is time for a new Festive Friday Challenge.  What is the Festive Friday Challenge?  The Festive Friday Challenge is a bi-weekly challenge that has an Inspo List which is inspired by a festivity.  There are always 10 items on the Inspo List and to play along with the challenge you need to use 3 items from the list on your project.

Here's my card for the challenge.

I used a stencil from the Basic Pattern Decorative Masks.  I used  Blending Brushes and started with Daffodil Delight ink, then Coastal Cabana, and lastly Pear Pizzazz.  Once the blending was done I used a Water Painter and watered down some Tuxedo Black Memento ink and tapped the Water Painter  to get the splatters.  This seems to be my current favorite thing.  

I stamped the dahlia on Basic White CS in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and used  Blending Brushes to color in the flower.  I stamped 2 leaves and used a Blending Brush to color them.  I fussy cut the flowers and leaves which was a little tedious but not difficult.   The dahlia is mounted on a Basic White Stitched Rectangle and then layered on Basic Black CS.  The ribbon is the Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon.  In the center of the dahlia is a Matte Black Dot.

Let's see how I did.  I used a stencil for the background.  I have layers on my card.  I used ribbon. I am also claiming ink spots.  Ink splatters are spots, right?

This week has been zipping by and it is already Thursday, which means it is time for a new Create with Connie & Mary Challenge.  This week it is a color challenge.  This color combination is one of my favorites.  

Love the pop of pink that will brighten up the Basic Black and Smoky Slate.  

I am currently all heart eyes over the Nature's Harvest bundle.  Once I started playing with it I didn't want to stop.  I find myself reaching for it a lot.  It is kind of billed as an Autumn set but I think it is way more versatile than that.  In this color combination I do not see it as a fall set.

Before I stamped the flowers I used a Blending Brush and Smoky Slate ink to do a little coloring on the Basic White CS.  I colored the flowers and leaves using Polished Pink and Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends.  Very quick and easy coloring.  I also added some splatters using a Water Painter and watered down Tuxedo Black Memento ink refill.  

The Smoky Slate layer was embossed using the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing folder.  The tag and sentiment are part of the Nature's Harvest bundle.  The pop of Polished Pink ribbon just brightens the card up.  To finish the front of the card I colored some rhinestone using the Basic Black Stampin' Blends.  It is a great way to customize embellishments.

Inside of the card I stamped the small flowers from the stamp set and colored them with Stampin' Blends.  I also added a strip of Smoky Slate CS that was embossed using the Timeworn Type folder.

Welcome to the Creativity Abounds Blog Hop!  We are an international group of Stampin' Up!® demonstrators.  We hop on the third Wednesday of the month.  This month our theme is Anything but Christmas from the  2021 July-December Mini Catalog.  Every month we also create a tutorial which is available for purchase featuring an additional project following the theme for the month.  

I chose to use the Nature's Harvest bundle for my project.  This bundle is part of the Harvest Meadow Suite.  This suite has it all from a beautiful stamp set and dies to a 3D embossing folder (Timeworn Type), ribbon (3/8" Diamond Weave ribbon), Brushed Metallic Dots, and Cork Specialty paper. 

This box is one of the Kraft Gift Boxes which can be found on page 11 of the Mini Catalog.  I wanted to highlight these boxes since I think they can be easily overlooked.  The boxes are food safe which makes them great to package treats like a cookie or candy.  The boxes are also sized to fit both A2 and C6  envelopes..  

The boxes are stampable and come with an acetate window.  Love how this gives a sneak peek of what is inside.  The boxes also come with adhesive strips on the tabs which makes putting them together very quick and easy.  Your box comes together in  just minutes, giving you more time to for the fun part, decorating!

I used some of the Harvest Meadow DSP to make a belly band.  I added some die cuts using the Harvest Dies.  I cut the stem of the flower and part of the flower in Old Olive and then die cut just the flower part from Calypso Coral CS.  I added some Early Espresso ink to the top of the flower using a Blending Brush and attached it to the Old Olive stem.  The long label is also from the Harvest Dies.  I inked up just the first 2 lines of the sentiment from the Nature's Harvest stamp set in Early Espresso ink.  It was surprisingly easy to do.  On either end of the label I attached  Brushed Metallic Dots.

This is an A-2 envelope .  I would say the box would easily hold 3-4 cards and envelopes, depending of course on how thick the cards are.

Welcome to the Stampers Dozen Blog Hop!  We are all Stampin' Up!® demonstrators who have joined together to form this fun group.  The hop occurs every month on the 14th at 7 pm (PST).   This month the theme for our hop is Move Me.  Enjoy the hop and seeing how we "moved".

I recently received the Be Jolly stamp set from the 2021 July-Dec Stampin' Up!® Mini Catalog.  I have been trying to resist this adorable set but the images are just too cute so I finally caved and welcomed him to the family.    One of the Santas in the set looks like he is dancing or shaking with glee so I decided he would be perfect for the Move Me theme.

I started with a  4" x 5-1/4" piece of Balmy Blue CS.  I did a little bit of color blending using the Blending Brushes first in Balmy Blue and then in Misty Moonlight ink.  After a bit of blending I embossed the top half  with the Wintry 3D Embossing Folder.  I created the "snowbanks" by cutting some Basic White CS with the Basic Borders Dies.  The "snow" was made by adding a bit of water to some White Craft ink and splattering it on.  The tree was fussy cut, it really isn't very fussy at all and colored using Stampin' Blends.   Santa was also fussy cut and colored with Stampin' Blends.  

So, are you wondering where is the movement?  Well, here you go!

I added a Wobble behind Santa to make him shake.  I purchased the Wobble on Amazon.  There are 2 sizes of Wobbles available.  I used the mini one behind Santa.

I just  received the Harvest Meadow Designer Series Paper.  I ordered it so I would have paper to go with the Nature's Harvest bundle and I am SO glad I did. I love it and this card came together so quickly and pretty effortlessly.  

Here's the sketch and it is a lovely one.  It was great to show off the Harvest Meadow DSP. 

The cute label is from the Harvest dies. and it is going to be a very useful one.   It is a good size and shape.  There is also a longer label which fits the other sentiments.   The ribbon is the Gold Fine Art Ribbon.  I like that it has a natural almost rustic look but has threads of gold to add some shine.  

The gold accents are from the Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots.  These embellishments come in 2 different sizes and 3 different colors-bronze, copper, and gold.  Here I used gold but any of the finishes would have worked.
