Happy 2022!

Just a few more days till we welcome in 2022.   I am ready for it and wanted to wish you a Happy New Year too!

Stampin'Up!WordsofChristmas-CCMC696

I made this card using the colors in the Create with Connie & Mary Challenge #CCMC696.

CCMC696

Unfortunately since I made this card a few of the products have sold out.

  • The Black Glitter Paper used as a layer, for the stars and for the numbers.
  • The silver and white paper background from the Whimsy & Wonder DSP.

The happy is from the Words of Cheer bundle and is still available.  I am a fan of word dies so this die set will be staying in my collection.

Stampin' Up!WordsofChristmas-CCMC696-side

I used the Give it a Whirl dies to cut out the stars.  The die cuts out 3 sizes of stitched stars.  Whenever I am looking for shapes I check to see if is by chance is in the Give it a Whirl dies.  That die set in addition to making a super fun interactive card also contains so many great shapes like stars, hearts, rectangles, clouds, circles, & arrows.

Stampin'Up!WordsofChristmas-CCMC696-open

Inside I added a leftover strip of stripes and a few more stars.  It is fun to dress up the insides of your cards too.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out what the rest of the Create with Connie & Mary design team created for this challenge.

Flowering Tulips Thank You

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas.  We did and now are looking forward to celebrating the start of a new year.

I am sharing another sample using a new bundle that will be debuting on January 4th in the 2022 J-J (January-June) Mini Catalog.    This is the Flowering Tulips bundle.  This is a  Two-Step photopolymer stamp set.

StampinUp!FloweringTulips-12_26

I stamped the 2 step flowers in Real Red and Cherry Cobbler ink.  The centers were stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink.  The stems are Old Olive ink on Pear Pizzazz CS.   The flowers were mounted on Basic White CS that was cut using one of the Scalloped Contour dies.  The pretty Real Red Faux Linen ribbon is soft and easy to tie.  I am sure you recognize the black and white check from the Pattern Party DSP.  It is a Stampin' Reward choice and a fabulous pack of paper.

Stampin'Up!FloweringTulips-12_26-side

Check out the lovely sentiment.  The Flowering Tulips set contains 6 sentiments covering a wide range of occasions.  This thank you sentiment is definitely a favorite.  I inked the stamp in Real Red ink and then colored over the thank you with a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker.

Stampin'Up!FloweringTulips-12_26-open

To finish off the inside of the card I cut this lovely border in Real Red CS.  Isn't it sweet?

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to let me know if you haven't received your 2022 J-J Mini catalog and/or the Sale-A-Bration catalog.

Daffodil Daydream and the Pattern Party DSP

Ready for another sneak peek?  I am dreaming of daffodils!  The new Daffodil Daydream bundle will be debuting soon.  This new stamp set and dies is definitely going to help me get through the winter until the real daffodils start blooming.

Stampin'Up!DaffodilDaydream-12_23

Aren't these daffodils pretty?  It does take a bit to assemble the flowers but the payoff is worth it!  I kept the colors simple, Daffodil Delight, Basic White with Pear Pizzazz leaves.  This is springtime on a card.   The bouquet is tied up with black twine and I love it, clean and simple.

Stampin'Up!DaffodilDaydream-12_23-side

Where is that lovely sentiment from?  It is from the Flowering Tulips stamp set (coming January 4th!).  I love everything about this sentiment and would like a whole stamp set using this font and style.   This sentiment stamp will be used a lot by me.  On the sides of the sentiment I added some Matte Black Dots.  The lovely label the flowers are on is one from the Scalloped Contours dies.

Stampin'Up!DaffodilDaydream-12_19-side2

The black and white check DSP is from the Pattern Party Designer Series Paper Pack.   In the Pattern Party DSP you get 48 sheets of 12" x 12" paper.  There are 12 double sided designs and you get 4 each of every design. This pack of paper is part of the Stampin' Rewards program and can be "purchased" using the rewards.  Please contact me for more information and to schedule an event.

Simply Marbleous Color & Contour

Sharing a card using something from the 2021-22 Annual Catalog and something coming in the 2022 January-February Sale-A-Bration catalog.

Stampin'Up!Color&Contour-12_19

Isn't that Gorgeous Grape background stunning?  It is one of the papers from the Simply Marbleous 6" x 6" DSP, one of the choices in the 2022 J-F  Sale-A-Bration brochure.  The stamp set and dies  used are from the Color & Contour bundle.  There are so many beautiful stamp sets in the Annual Catalog that get forgotten so I am trying to mix things up a bit and use some of these gems.  The dies in this bundle are must haves if you like scalloped edges and labels.  I used 2 of the labels on this card.

Stampin'Up!Color&Contour-12_19-side

The ink colors used are Sahara Sand, Poppy Parade, Crushed Curry, and Highland Heather.  This stamp set is a two-step stamp set and very forgiving.  A great set for any skill level.   I also used my new favorite embellishment, Iridescent Rhinestones, coming soon in the 2022 J-J Mini Catalog and the Gorgeous Grape 3/8" Sheer Ribbon.  Most of this card was cased from one of the resources provided to demonstrators by Stampin' Up!.

If you are a customer of mine you should have received a copy of both the 2022 J-J Mini Catalog and the 2022 J-F Sale-A-Bration catalog.  If you haven't please let me know and I will send them to you.  Thanks for stopping by and hope your day is Simply Marbleous!

Be Jolly

It is hard to believe that there are just 9 days left until Christmas!  This is about the time I start cutting down my to do list and accepting not everything I want to do will get done.  I wish I could say I was all done with my Christmas cards unfortunately that is not the case and now I am thinking about what kind of New Years cards I can make.

Stampin'Up!BeJolly-CCMC695

One more card made and ready to send!  I made this for the Create with Connie & Mary Challenge #CCMC695.  I used the Be Jolly  Santa and colored him with Stampin' Blends.  The DSP patchwork in the background are pieces from the Heartwarming Hugs DSP.  Unfortunately the DSP is no longer available/sold out.

CCMC695

This is the sketch for the challenge.  I love to mix and match the DSP patterns so this sketch was a fun one for me.

Stampin'Up!BeJolly-CCMC695-in

Inside I added a sentiment from the Christmas to Remember stamp set.  This stamp set will be carried over but it will no longer be available as a bundle.  The tree is also part of the Be Jolly set and also colored with Stampin' Blends.

Thank you for stopping by and may your to-do list be short!

Creativity Abounds Blog Hop...Birthdays!

125873640_10157240611041642_4807947291545357817_o

Welcome to the Creativity Abounds Blog Hop!  We are a group of international Stampin' Up!® demonstrators.  We hop together on the third Wednesday of every month.  Our hops focus around a particular bundle, product suite, holiday  or sometimes like this month an occasion.  The theme for this month is Birthdays.  I love this theme since it is so fun to send and receive birthday cards.  Enjoy the hop and I hope it inspires you to make some birthday cards!

I am also sharing a sneak peek of the Daffodil Daydream bundle from the 2022 J-J(January - June) Mini Catalog.  There are many special things about this bundle.  One very big thing is that it also coordinates with an offering in the 2022 J-F (January-February) Sale-A-Bration, the Daffodil Afternoon DSP (Designer Series Paper).

Stampin'Up!DaffodilDaydream-birthday-CA

This is  currently one of my favorite folds.  I am terrible with remembering the names of folds-sorry.  Basically, you take an 8-1/2" x  11" piece of CS and score it at 4-1/4", turn and score at 5-1/2", and then cut the cardstock on the diagonal.  Now you have two card bases, simple and pretty cool.  For the DSP you cut  two 4" x 5-1/4" pieces of DSP and cut both of them on the diagonal.   After that all you need to do is decorate.

Stampin'Up!DaffodilDaydream-Birthday-CAopen

The Daffodil Daydream stamp set doesn't have a birthday sentiment so I used one from the Blossoms in Bloom set and for the inside one from the Celebrate Sunflowers.  The Daffodil Daydream does have that cool border stamp and I think that is going to be a fun one to play around with.

Stampin'Up!DaffodilDaydream-DiagonalSplit

Here's what I made with the 2ned card base and DSP.  This time I used the Daffodil Dies to create the flower.  It is hard to tell in the photo but I used the Pearlescent Paper to make the flower.  It has a lovely pearl finish and color wise falls between Basic White and Very Vanilla.

Stampers Dozen Blog Hop...Winter Wishes

SDBH Banner

Welcome to the Stampers Dozen Blog Hop!  We are a group of Stampin' Up!® demonstrators who hop together on the 14th of every month.  This month our theme is Winter Wishes.

I decided to use the Classic Cloche bundle which I am sorry to say has sold out and is no longer available.  Just a  note that things are selling out quickly so if there are thing you want from the July-December Mini Catalog do not delay and order sooner than later.

Stampin'Up!ClassicCloche-SDBH

Instead of putting my winter scene in a cloche I decided to frame it with this cutout created using a die from the So Many Snowflakes dies.  I cut the die from the Whimsy & Wonder DSP, which has also sold out.  The pretty silver striped DSP behind the is also from the Whimsy & Wonder DSP pack.

Stampin'Up!ClassicCloche-SDBH-side

Can you see the rhinestones on the snowflakes?  These are the Iridescent Rhinestones and they are featured in the upcoming 2022 J-J (January-June) Mini Catalog.  I love them!  They are one of my favorite embellishments.  These rhinestones have their own special shine and seem to reflect the colors around them.  Seriously, I will be stocking up on these.

Stampin'Up!ClassicCloche-SDBH-close

The sentiment is a shortened version of the sentiment in the set.  I carefully inked up just the Joy & Happiness part of the sentiment.  This is something I wish for everyone this Winter season.

Now it is time for you to hop on over to see what the talented Carol Payne has create for you!

Welcome to the Inspire, Create, Share Blog Hop!  We are a group of Stampin' Up!® demonstrators who hop together the 2nd Tuesday of the month.  This month our theme is Thank You.  Hop along with us and get inspired!

I am using products from the Stampin' Up!® Annual catalog, the upcoming 2022 J-J (January-June) Mini Catalog and a product that is available for a limited time only.  Here we go!

Stampin'Up!DaffodilDaydream-Thanks-ICS

Here's the breakdown of where you can find all the different products.

2021-22 Stampin' Up!® Annual Catalog

2022 J-J Mini Catalog (January -June)

  • The lovely daffodils were created using the Daffodil Dies which can be also purchased as a  part of the Daffodil Daydream bundle.
  • The itty bitty butterfly on the Thank You tag is also one of the new embellishments, Brushed Brass Butterflies.  These are so cute!

Limited Time

  • The Evening Evergreen paper wrapping the daffodil bouquet is part of the Ever Eden Cotton Paper. This paper is lightweight and easier to manipulate.  It made the perfect wrap for the flowers.  It also comes in Soft Succulent.  This paper is only available until January 3, 2022 or while supplies last.

Stampin'Up!DaffodilDaydream-ThankYou-ICSside

I used Daffodil Delight and Mango Melody for the daffodils and Soft Succulent for the leaves.  Daffodils are such happy flowers and seeing them always makes me smile.  They are what I look for as a sign that Spring is coming!

Festive Friday Happy New Year

In just 3 weeks we will be welcoming in a new year.  Here's hoping 2022 will be a great one for all of us. New Year's Day is the festivity being celebrated for the Festive Friday Challenge.

FF0099

To play along you need to use three things from the Inspo List on your project.  Here's a link to all the details on how to participate in the challenge.  We hope you will join in the fun and we look forward to seeing your creations in the gallery.

Stampin'Up!-FF99

I used all sorts of product on my card, most of which is retired.  I think it would be easier to tell you what I used that is currently available.  For the year I used the Playful Alphabet dies and cut the numbers out of Black Glitter paper (unfortunately this items is no longer available-sold out).  The yellow stars were cut from the Rainbow Glimmer Paper.  The silver foil and white stars were cut from the Whimsy & Wonder DSP which also has sold out and is no longer available. The card base is Basic Black CS and the twine is from the Simply Elegant Trim.

Stampin'Up!-FF98-side

The rest of the papers used were found in my scraps.  I do miss the Silver and Dazzling Diamond glitter paper and it is crazy how I hoard those little scraps.  The die I used for a lot of the stars and the swirly star is a long retired one called Star Blast Edgelit Dies.  It is one I just couldn't give up.
