2022 Jan-June Mini Catalog

Symbols of Fortune DSP

It is Thursday and time for the Create with Connie & Mary challenge.  This week it is a sketch challenge.

I once again reached for the beautiful Symbols of Fortune DSP.

I  used the Good Fortune dies and cut out multiple flowers from the DSP.  The flowers were arranged on a piece of  Mother of Pearl Specialty Paper.  Around the flowers I also added a few Gold Metallic Pearls and added some Black Baker's Twine.

I finally used the side of the Symbols of Fortune DSP that has gold foil.  The gold and white gingko leaves are so pretty.  For the other panel I used a piece of Gold Foil paper.  Inside I added a strip of DSP and another Calypso Coral flower.

You can see other ideas using the Symbols of Fortune Suite  here, here,  and here.

Flowering Tulips and Sunshine & Rainbows DSP

When I saw the Create with Connie & Mary Challenge #CCMC697 I knew it was the perfect opportunity to showcase this bright and cheerful design from the Sunshine & Rainbows DSP.

Isn't this just the happiest design?  The whole pack of paper is full of sunshine, rainbows and smiles and best of all it is one of the  January-February 2022 (J-F 2022) Sale-A-Bration choices.  This means that you can receive this pack of paper for free with a qualifying order ($50 before shipping & tax in the US).  This pack of paper also coordinates with the Rainbow of Happiness bundle in the J-J 2022 Mini Catalog.

This is the Create with Connie & Mary Challenge that I designed this card for.  This sketch really shows off the DSP (Designer Series paper).

I used the new Cloud punch for the sentiment.  I thought it was fun way to continue the theme.   The sentiment is from the Flowering Tulips stamp set.  I love the sentiment in that set and the use of different fonts.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out what the rest of the Create with Connie & Mary design team created for this challenge.

Flowering Tulip Thinking of You

Today is the day!  Yes, the January-June 2022 Mini Catalog is live and also it is the start of the Jan-Feb 2022 Sale-A-Bration!  Today's card uses the gorgeous Flowering Tulips bundles.

This Two-Step stamp set creates such pretty tulips.  I used Flirty Flamingo, Petal Pink, and Early Espresso ink pads for the flowers.  The leaves were stamped using Old Olive ink and Pear Pizzazz ink applied with a blending brush.  The sentiment was stamped using Flirty Flamingo ink.  The flowers are on one of the Scalloped Contour dies.

Check out the corner details.  The little squares were cut out using one of the dies in the Tulip dies.  This is such a fun detail and adds lots of interest to the corners.  The sparkle you see are the Iridescent Rhinestones which you know,  i think are great.

Flowering Tulips Thank You

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas.  We did and now are looking forward to celebrating the start of a new year.

I am sharing another sample using a new bundle that will be debuting on January 4th in the 2022 J-J (January-June) Mini Catalog.    This is the Flowering Tulips bundle.  This is a  Two-Step photopolymer stamp set.

I stamped the 2 step flowers in Real Red and Cherry Cobbler ink.  The centers were stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink.  The stems are Old Olive ink on Pear Pizzazz CS.   The flowers were mounted on Basic White CS that was cut using one of the Scalloped Contour dies.  The pretty Real Red Faux Linen ribbon is soft and easy to tie.  I am sure you recognize the black and white check from the Pattern Party DSP.  It is a Stampin' Reward choice and a fabulous pack of paper.

Check out the lovely sentiment.  The Flowering Tulips set contains 6 sentiments covering a wide range of occasions.  This thank you sentiment is definitely a favorite.  I inked the stamp in Real Red ink and then colored over the thank you with a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker.

To finish off the inside of the card I cut this lovely border in Real Red CS.  Isn't it sweet?

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to let me know if you haven't received your 2022 J-J Mini catalog and/or the Sale-A-Bration catalog.

Daffodil Daydream and the Pattern Party DSP

Ready for another sneak peek?  I am dreaming of daffodils!  The new Daffodil Daydream bundle will be debuting soon.  This new stamp set and dies is definitely going to help me get through the winter until the real daffodils start blooming.

Aren't these daffodils pretty?  It does take a bit to assemble the flowers but the payoff is worth it!  I kept the colors simple, Daffodil Delight, Basic White with Pear Pizzazz leaves.  This is springtime on a card.   The bouquet is tied up with black twine and I love it, clean and simple.

Where is that lovely sentiment from?  It is from the Flowering Tulips stamp set (coming January 4th!).  I love everything about this sentiment and would like a whole stamp set using this font and style.   This sentiment stamp will be used a lot by me.  On the sides of the sentiment I added some Matte Black Dots.  The lovely label the flowers are on is one from the Scalloped Contours dies.

The black and white check DSP is from the Pattern Party Designer Series Paper Pack.   In the Pattern Party DSP you get 48 sheets of 12" x 12" paper.  There are 12 double sided designs and you get 4 each of every design. This pack of paper is part of the Stampin' Rewards program and can be "purchased" using the rewards.  Please contact me for more information and to schedule an event.

Creativity Abounds Blog Hop...Birthdays!

Welcome to the Creativity Abounds Blog Hop!  We are a group of international Stampin' Up!® demonstrators.  We hop together on the third Wednesday of every month.  Our hops focus around a particular bundle, product suite, holiday  or sometimes like this month an occasion.  The theme for this month is Birthdays.  I love this theme since it is so fun to send and receive birthday cards.  Enjoy the hop and I hope it inspires you to make some birthday cards!

I am also sharing a sneak peek of the Daffodil Daydream bundle from the 2022 J-J(January - June) Mini Catalog.  There are many special things about this bundle.  One very big thing is that it also coordinates with an offering in the 2022 J-F (January-February) Sale-A-Bration, the Daffodil Afternoon DSP (Designer Series Paper).

This is  currently one of my favorite folds.  I am terrible with remembering the names of folds-sorry.  Basically, you take an 8-1/2" x  11" piece of CS and score it at 4-1/4", turn and score at 5-1/2", and then cut the cardstock on the diagonal.  Now you have two card bases, simple and pretty cool.  For the DSP you cut  two 4" x 5-1/4" pieces of DSP and cut both of them on the diagonal.   After that all you need to do is decorate.

The Daffodil Daydream stamp set doesn't have a birthday sentiment so I used one from the Blossoms in Bloom set and for the inside one from the Celebrate Sunflowers.  The Daffodil Daydream does have that cool border stamp and I think that is going to be a fun one to play around with.

Here's what I made with the 2ned card base and DSP.  This time I used the Daffodil Dies to create the flower.  It is hard to tell in the photo but I used the Pearlescent Paper to make the flower.  It has a lovely pearl finish and color wise falls between Basic White and Very Vanilla.

Be sure to check out at all the beautiful blogs on the hop!

Brilliant Rainbow and Christmas Cheer Dies

It is Thursday and time for the Create with Connie & Mary Challenge.  This week it is a sketch challenge.  I couldn't resist using some sneak peek products from the upcoming Jan-Feb 2022 Sale-A-Bration  and the J-J (January-June) 2022 Mini Catalog.

The DSP is called Sunshine & Rainbows and is one of the Sale-A-Bration choices.  This pack of paper is free with a qualifying purchase and coordinates with the Brilliant Rainbow Dies in the J-J Mini catalog.  The rainbow is also cut from the Sunshine & Rainbows DSP using the Brilliant Rainbow Dies. I mounted the rainbow on a piece of Foam Adhesive Sheet and then cut it out with the dies.   The scalloped Polished Pink border was also cut using the Brilliant Rainbow Dies.

The Polished Pink happy was cut using the Christmas Cheer Dies.  I am sad that these dies are retiring.  You can see the Last Chance list HERE..  I have really enjoyed using the Christmas Cheer dies especially the words.

The little heart underneath the rainbow was cut using the Messages die.  It is just the perfect size for the rainbow.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out what the rest of the Create with Connie & Mary team created.

Eden's Garden Aloha

Today's card was the first card I made using the Eden's Garden products and probably my favorite.  When I get a new set of dies I like to cut them out to see what they look like and what they do.  When I cut out the large leaf frame it reminded me of a lei, a haku lei (a woven or braided style of lei) in particular.

I cut the large leaf frame apart to create an open eded let.  I added in Soft Succulent leaves cut from the small leaf sprig.  The Real  Red flowers were cut using the Pierced Blooms die, the Basic White flowers were cut using the Hydrangea dies and the Daffodil Delight centers were cut using the Seasonal Swirls die.   The Basic White layer was created using the Stitched Greenery die.  The perfect word, aloha was cut in Real Red CS using the In the Tropics dies.

Inside i added more leaves and flowers to continue the lei.  I love how this turned out and know this card will be most useful especially for graduation cards or any time a little aloha is needed.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope the cards i have shared using the Eden's Garden products have demonstrated how versatile and beautiful the products are.
