Stamping Inkspiration Blog Hop...Sketch Challenge
January 08, 2022
I have been away from my craft cubbie for about 2-1/2 weeks. When we got home I was ready to get back to stamping. I was looking forward to playing with some new products from the J-J 2022 Mini Catalog and the J-F 2022 Sale-A-Bration Catalog.
It was harder than I thought it would be. I recycled a lot of starts, questioned myself whether something was good or not, and when I look at what I made I am still not sure. It is a strange feeling. I still enjoyed the process and know that I need to flex that creativity muscle and use it and it will get stronger.
Thank goodness the January Stamping Inkspirations blog hop is a Sketch Challenge. It made it much easier to create the project.
I used the bright and happy Sunshine & Rainbows 6" x 6" DSP. This pack of paper is one of the Sale-A-Bration choices which means it is Free with a $50 purchase. I used 3 different designs and you know I like stripes and polka dots!
The adorable cupcakes are from the Measure of Love set. Love the little cupcakes, each decorated with a little flower and pearl.
I used the Stitched Rectangle dies to cut the DSP. The squares were cut using a retired die set, Stitched Shapes. I know I am not alone in wishing that the Stitched Shapes would come out of retirement and re-appear in the Stampin' Up! catalog.
The ric-rac shape on both the outside and inside of the card was created using the Basic Borders dies. This is a fun way to dress up the inside of the card and use the little strips of DSP. The Sunshine and Rainbow paper is too cute and I don't want to waste any of it.
Thank you for stopping by! Now it is time to head on over to see what the talented Danielle Kassing has created for you!
