March 2022
As a member of the Creativity Abounds Design team, I am participating in designing and selling a specially designed card making tutorial featuring a blue and yellow theme. (You can of course make the cards in any colors you'd like.) We felt called to do this in order to offer assistance to the people Ukraine.
All proceeds from the sale of this tutorial (PDF sent by email) will be donated to the International Committee of the Red Cross to support their work with the people of Ukraine.
The tutorial is being prepared now and should be ready for distribution by mid-March. Please reserve your bundle by commenting below or messaging me. Cost is $15.
The tutorial is almost complete and here is a sneak peek of the projects.
While I was creating my project for the tutorial bundle I made this card. The card I made for the tutorial is a surprise and exclusive to the tutorial bundle.
The Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set. is a great set to use since sunflowers are the national flower of Ukraine. I stamped the sunflower using Pacific Point ink and colored the petals using Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends. "Peace" was cut out using the Playful Alphabet dies. Before gluing down the Basic White layer I used the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing folder to add a little texture. I like how the Pacific Point layer shows thru the letters. To finish up the card I added some White Baker's Twine and a Brushed Brass Butterfly.
Thank you for stopping by and thank you for your support, together we can help make a difference.
Welcoming Window
March 04, 2022
Ready for another Festive Friday challenge? What is the Festive Friday challenge? The Festive Friday challenge is a bi-weekly challenge that is inspired by a holiday/festivity. An Inspo list of 10 items is created using the festivity as its inspiration. To play in the challenge you need to use 3 items from the Inspo list on your project and enter it in the Festive Friday gallery. We love seeing what you choose from the Inspo list and create.
You can also read more about how to play in the challenge HERE.
I used from the Inspo list flowers/plants, green, encouragement, and brick.
Here's the breakdown of the products I used. I really enjoyed putting together this fun scene. The Welcoming Window bundle is on sale through March along with 12 other bundles and the Mini Stampin Cut & Emboss Machine. In addition to the Welcoming Window bundle I used the Perfect Plants die to cut out the planter and plant from the Bloom Where You Are Planted DSP.
Inside I added a strip of the brick DSP and another planter and plant from the Bloom Where You Are Planted DSP.
Now it is time to check out what the rest of the Festive Friday design team created for the challenge.

Sweet as a Peach Thanks
March 03, 2022
It is Thursday and time for the Create with Connie & Mary Challenge. This week it is a sketch challenge.
I used the Sweet As a Peach bundle for the focal point image. The flowers were stamped in Pale Papaya ink and the small flower centers were cut in Bashful Blue. In the center flowers is a Pale Papaya gem from the 2021-23 In Color Jewels. The Pale Papaya label was cut from the 2021-23 In Color DSP Assortment using the Scalloped Contours dies. The thanks was cut using the Amazing Thanks dies.
There are 2 different ribbons on this card. The bow is the Pale Papaya Open Weave Ribbon and the other is the Pale Papaya & White 1/2" ribbon. The Stitched Greenery die was used to create the lovely design on the Basic White layer. Inside of the card I added a strip of DSP and another flower from the Sweet as a Peach bundle.
Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out what the rest of the design team created for the challenge,
Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Safari Celebration
March 01, 2022
Welcome to the Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop! We are all fans of this monthly crafting kit and want to share with you our enthusiasm for this box of fun and creativity. The beauty of the Paper Pumpkin kit is that you can follow the directions provided in the kit to make the projects as they were designed, or use the supplies as a starting point and let your creativity run wild. On this hop we will be sharing lots of ideas with you on how to use the February 2022 Safari Celebration kit.
It has been quite a while since I have been able to participate in this blog hop. I am happy to be back and what a fun kit to play with. The die cut animals are so fun and whimsical. When I saw the animals I knew I wanted to play with that elephant on roller skates.
Cute right? Well this is a rolling penny card which allows the elephant to spin and do tricky roller skating tricks.
So fun! Here's a quick rundown of how to make a rolling penny card. Cut one of the Fresh Freesia card bases in half. Randomly stamp the leaf in Fresh Freesia ink. Use a Stitched Rectangle die (1/2" x 2-1/2") and cut the opening on the Fresh Freesia piece. Apply a strip of Foam Adhesive to the sections above and below the rectangle opening. Be sure to leave space around the rectangle opening. You could also use Stampin' Dimensionals. Sandwich a Stampin' Dimensional between 2 pennies. Attach the elephant to a penny. I used a Stampin' Dimensional. Slide in one of the pennies to the inside of the Stitched Rectangle. The elephant will now slide and spin across the rectangle track. Attach the Fresh Freesia piece to a Basic White layer and then on to the Fresh Freesia card base.
I colored and fussy cut a cupcake and attached it to the elephant. The 2 sentiments were stamped using Tuxedo Black Memento ink and die cut using the same die that created the track. Now it is time for you to hop on over to see what the talented Dana Sullivan has created for you.
