The Detailed Dogwood stamp set is one of my favorite sets from the 2024 Sale-A-Bration catalogue.  It is elegant and a great one to use for collages.

Welcome to the Inspire Create Share Blog Hop!  We are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators that hop together on the 2nd Wednesday of the month.  Every month there is a theme for the hop.    This month the theme is All About Christmas.

There are so many beautiful, fun and festive Christmas stamp sets and bundles in the Sept-Dec Mini Catalog and the 2023-24 Annual Stampin' Up! catalog.   I love all the choices!  On today's project I am using products from both catalogs.

Paper Florist Dies and a Note of Thanks

What a great list of Inspiration!  I used from the list Red, Black, Clean & Simple, and Gratitude.

PaperFlorist_Bag&card

Let's talk about the little bag.  This is a long retired die, BIGZL Petite Purse.  Remember BIGZ dies? They were thicker and you could cut lots of different materials with them.  Anyone else remember cutting soda cans with them?  When I was packing up my Craft Cubbie to move I made the decision to keep a lot of my retired dies especially ones that could be used for little gifts, favors.  I also noted that I needed to use them more to make it worthwhile that I moved them halfway across the country.  This Petite Purse is so cute and I couldn't part with it.

The bag was cut in Crushed Curry paper and simply decorated with a Poppy Parade flower made using the Paper Florist dies.  I hope they look a little like poppies.  I added a little banner with a sentiment from the Sending Smiles stamp set.   In the near future I will be co-hosting a luncheon and am thinking these would be cute table favors.

The little card is 3" x 3" (3" x 6" CS).  It also is in Crushed Curry adorned with a poppy made using the Paper Florist dies.  I also added some Black & Very Vanilla Large Check ribbon to dress it up a little more.  These little cards also have envelopes but they are too small to be mailed.  They are a great size to leave a tip or note of thanks.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out all the lovely projects the Design Team created.  I am looking forward to seeing what you create for the challenge.

Two-Tone Flora and the Gorgeous Garden Dies

Today's card was made for the Create with Connie & Mary Challenge (CCMC 787) but the square I created was too big for the card front.  Lesson learned. I really liked the panel I made so I finished it for today's post.

TwoToneFloral_GorgeousGarden

Card Base-Basic Gray CS 4-1/4" x 11" scored at 5-1/2".

Basic Black CS-3-1/2" square cut out a frame using a Stylish Shapes die (measure 2-3/4").

Very Vanilla CS- I cut a 4" x 4"piece with the Gorgeous Garden die and the cut it down to adhere to the Black frame.

Vellum CS- 3-1/4" square.

Very Vanilla CS- 5 flowers from the Tw0-Tone Flora set and lots of leaves all cut using the Two-Tone Flora dies.  Sentiment banner cut using the Stylish Shapes dies.

The only tricky part was sandwiching the Gorgeous Garden cut out between the frame and the vellum and it really wasn't very tricky at all.  The sentiment is from the Fruitful Blessings set.  The pretty little sparkle is one of the Adhesive-Backed Sparkle Gems.

TwoToneFloral_GorgeousGarden_inside

Inside I added another flower and leaves.  The flowers were all stamped in Real Red ink.  The outlines were stamped full strength and the bold portion was inked and stamped off once to obtain the lighter color.

Zany Zoo On Stage

What did I choose from the Inspo List to use on my card?  I went with bright colors, twine, and heat embossing.

ZanyZoo_Stage

For the bright colors I turned to the Merry Bold & Bright Designer Series Paper in the new mini catalog.  When I saw this paper I gasped!  It was all the bright and happy colors and designs I love.  I mean stripes, dots and stars, oh my!  The string of lights and little trees are cute too and the "fa la la la", come on, so adorable.   I chose 3 different patterns for my card and it wasn't easy to do since I like so many of the patterns.

The dancer and singer are both from the Zany Zoo stamp set and cut out using the coordinating dies.  I paper pieced her tutu using the DSP and added a Flirty Flamingo flower cut using the Crafting With You dies.  The center of the flower is a Melon Mambo Glossy Dot.

The twine is from the Baker's Twine Essentials Pack.  The heat embossing was done on the sentiment.  I used white embossing powder and Versmark ink on the Melon Mambo label.

ZanyZoo_Stage_top

This is what the card looks like from the top.   I added a piece of tape to secure the twine to the polka dot panel.  This way the twine doesn't sag.  I love this fold since the card stand up on its own and yet folds flat.

Just My Type Thank You

I chose from the Inspo List yellow, ribbon, flowers, thank you and embossing folder.

JustMyType_ThankYou

I used the soon to be released Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder on the Lemon Lolly CS layer.  This new folder is beautiful.  Behind the Early Espresso typewriter (I know it looks black) is a Deckled Circle.  This is a new die set and there are 14 sizes of deckled circles in the set.  So useful and pretty too.  The little flowers and typewriter from the Just My Type stamp set were fussy cut.  The Lemon Lolly ribbon is from the 3/8" Sheer Ribbon Combo Pack.  In the pack there are 3 spools of ribbon-Azure Afternoon, Bubble Bath, and Lemon Lolly.

JustMyType_Thanks

Originally I thought about scattering the flowers around the front of the card.  I decided against it and instead added some flowers to the inside of the card.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out how the Inspo List inspired the Festive Friday design team members.

Sweet Songbirds Hello

It is Thursday and time for a new Create with Connie & Mary Challenge.  This week it is a color challenge.

CCMC782

Azure Afternoon is a new addition the Stampin' Up! Color Collection.  It is a such a happy, bright blue.  The color reminds me of bluebirds which led me to the Sweet Songbirds stamp set and the coordinating Songbird Builder punch.

SweetSongbirds_Hello

Isn't she so sweet?  I love her Lemon Lime Twist gingham wings and beak.   The Early Espresso branch and the Lemon Lime Twist leaves were stamped using the Sweet Songbird set.   The Flirty Flamingo flowers were stamped in Flirty Flamingo ink using the Sweet Citrus stamp set and die cut using the coordinating Sweet Citrus Hybrid Embossing folder and dies.  The Azure Afternoon flower centers were cut using the Dots & Spots die.  The clouds were punched using the Cloud punch.  Around the edges of the clouds I added a little Azure Afternoon ink to give the clouds more definition.  The gingham grass was cut using the Basic Borders die.  The sentiment is from the Circle Sayings stamp set and was stamped on a Nested Essential label.

SweetSongbirds_Hello_inside

I had a few left over flowers so I attached them to the inside of the card.

Sea Turtle

It is Thursday and time for a new Create with Connie & Mary Challenge.  This week it is a sketch challenge.  Which do yo like better Sketch or Color Challenges?

CCMC781-1

I didn't know what to make so I looked on my stamp shelf and came upon the Sea Turtle set.  I haven't used this set as much as I would like so it was chosen for today's card.

SeaTurtle_HelloIrresistibleDSP

I paired up the Sea Turtle stamp set with the Hello, Irresistible DSP (Online Exclusive).  I have used these two together before and you can see it HERE.  These 2 patterns from the Hello, Irresistible DSP look like water to me so it was a good fit for the Sea Turtle set.

The turtles were inked up in Pretty Peacock ink and stamped on Soft Sea Foam CS.  This set doesn't have coordinating dies or a punch so I fussy cut the turtles out.  Fortunately they are pretty easy to cut out.   The DSP strips measure 1" x  5" and 1" x 4-1/2".  The strips are layered on  Pretty Peacock CS that has been embossed using the Basics 3D Embossing Folders (Online Exclusive).  The card base is Lost Lagoon CS 4" x 11".

SeaTurtle_HelloIrresistibleDSP_side

The sentiment is from the Darling Details stamp set inked in Pretty Peacock ink on  Soft Sea Foam CS.  The starfish was also stamped in Pretty Peacock ink on Soft Sea Foam CS.  The pearls are from the Festive Pearls embellishments.

SeaTurtle_Hello IrresisitibleDSP_inside

Inside I added a strip of the Hello, Irresistible DSP with the larger starfish.

Zany Zoo Sending Smiles

It is Thursday and time for a new Create with Connie & Mary Challenge.  This week it is a color challenge.

CCMC780

What do you think of this color combination?  It had me stumped.  All I could think of was the Zany Zoo bundle specifically the adorable dancer.

ZanyZoo_SendingSmiles

I colored each dancer's tutus and shoes using Stampin' Blends in Highland Heather, Orchid Oasis and Berry Burst.  I colored the spots in using a Crumb Cake Stampin' Blend.   I could have stopped there but I decided I wanted to add another element.  I used the Paper Florist dies to create the dots for the background.   These circles are probably used mostly for the flower centers.  I like the variety of the details on the circles, some are plain, some are heavily dotted and some are stitched.

The "sending" is from the Sending dies.  I cut the bold part of the word in Orchid Oasis CS and the skinny part in Basic White CS.  What am I sending?

ZanyZoo_SendingSmiles_open

The sentiment inside is from the coordinating stamp set called Sending Smiles.  I added a few more dots around the sentiment.
