It is Thursday and time for a new Create with Connie & Mary Challenge! This week it is a sketch challenge.
Tell me what comes to mind when you see this sketch? I thought of a stage which of course made me think of the Zoo Crew!
I love these little dancers. They look so joyful. The cute dancers are from the Zoo Crew DSP. I did just a little coloring with Berry Burst and Bubble Bath Stampin' Blends. The curtains were cut from the Delightfully Eclectic DSP using the Zany Zoo dies. Check out the little curtain tie backs. I cut them using the Berry Burst Soft Shimmer Paper Combo Pack. When I first saw the tieback dies I thought they were hot dogs! I wondered why there would be hot dogs in this die set. I was later told by one of my team members that they weren't hot dogs but curtain tie backs. Makes so much more sense! I must have been hungry when I looked at the dies.
Behind the stage I have a small layer of Berry Burst card stock. The Berry Burst strips are also from the Soft Shimmer Paper Combo Pack. The card base is a 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" Thick Basic White CS.
Another look at those sweet and joyful dancers! I think the Zany Zoo stamp set should have included a sentiment, Jump for Joy!
Thank you for stopping by! Be sure to check out what the rest of the Create with Connie & Mary design team made with the sketch. Remember, both of the Designer Series Paper Packs I used, Zoo Crew and Delightfully Eclectic are on sale until the end of June. Don't miss out on this great special.
Ready for another Festive Friday challenge? What is the Festive Friday challenge? The Festive Friday challenge is a bi-weekly challenge that is inspired by a holiday/festivity. An Inspo list of 10 items is created using the festivity as its inspiration. To play in the challenge you need to use 3 items from the Inspo list on your project and enter it in the Festive Friday gallery. We love seeing what you choose from the Inspo list and look forward to seeing what you create.
The three items I picked to use from the Inspo list-Green, Blue, and Silhouette.
Card base-Basic Black 4-1/4" x 11"
Layer-Parakeet Party CS 3-1/4" x 4"
Basic White CS 3" x 3-3/4"
I started by applying Parakeet Party ink with a Blending Brush to the bottom portion of the Basic White CS. I added Pretty Peacock ink with a Blending Brush from the top down. I added water to a drop of White Craft ink and used an Aqua Painter to add some splatters. I repeated the splattering using Wink of Stella. Unfortunately I wasn't able to capture the sparkly splatters in my photo.
Inside I added a couple of strips that were trimmed off from the front panel. It was serendipitous that they were cut in different widths. I added a partial die cut using the Gorgeously Made dies.
What will you choose from the Inspo List to inspire your creation? I look forward to seeing your creations in the Festive Friday Gallery. Be sure to check out what inspired the rest of the Festive Friday Design Tean.
It is Thursday and time for a new Create with Connie & Mary Challenge. This week it is a color challenge.
When I saw this combination I thought about the Fresh As A Daisy DSP (part of the DSP sale-15% off) There is one pattern that features these colors prominently and another that would also work for this challenge.
This bouquet of daisies can be found on the sheet that has multiple images almost like a quilt. Are you now wondering where is the Bubble Bath and the Moody Mauve?
Voila! Here is the image with the flowers colored with Moody Mauve and Bubble Bath Stampin' Blends. It was a quick and easy change and perfect for the challenge.
Card base- 4-1/4" x 11" Bubble Bath CS scored at 5-1/2"
Layer- Early Espresso CS 3-7/8" x 5-1/8"
DSP 3-3/4" x 5"
I also added a Basic White CS label cut using the Cheerful Daisies die. The sentiment is from the Cheerful Daisies stamp set and inked in Moody Mauve ink. The Bubble Bath ribbon is from the 3/8" Sheer Ribbon Combo Pack. These are one of my favorite ribbons. They tie so easily, make the best bows, and that little bit of silver makes it so lovely. I would be very happy if they came in every color or at the very least a lot more colors. The Moody Mauve Dots are the 2023-25 In Color Dots.
Inside I added a strip of the DSP in Wild Wheat. The flower stamped was in Bubble Bath ink on Bubble Bath CS and the center in Early Espresso ink. I think it is always nice to have a little something on the inside of my cards.
Thank you for stopping by and be sure to check out what the rest of the design team created for this challenge,
Welcome to the Creativity Abounds Blog Hop! We are an international group of Stampin' Up!® demonstrators. We hop together on the third Wednesday of every month. Our hops focus around a particular bundle, holiday, occasion or product suite. This month we are focusing on sharing our bonus projects for our upcoming Fresh As A Daisy stamp camp. You may notice that we are not sharing measurements or how we made the projects. We will share all the details during the stamp camp.
Every month we also create a tutorial bundle. The tutorial bundle is available as a gift with a qualifying purchase or can also be purchased. We also have a stamp camp 3 times a year. The next camp will be on July 7th and 8th and will feature the Fresh as a Daisy Suite. You will receive 13 make and takes, access to a private Facebook group and 2 days of even more ideas using the Suite. All you will need to do is purchase the Fresh As A Daisy Suite and the 2023-24 In Color Jute using this Host Code YERHAJKR. If you already own the suite and the In Color Jute, simply order $81.50 in product from my online store and use the Host Code. If your order is $150 or more do not use the host code, instead email me that you want to be a part of the Fresh As A Daisy stamp camp.
One of the things I really like to make is favors or little treat packaging. I think a little something always looks better in a cute bag or box.
This little treat bag can hold a sweet treat like a chocolate bar. I am going to look for other cute items that will fit and will share them with you during the stamp camp.
You can see there is a small gusset on the side. This allows me to package items that are a little chunky.
You can still join us for the Fresh As a Daisy stamp camp. I am starting to cut the make and take packets so be sure to sign up soon! Today, June 21 would be a great day to sign up and get Free Shipping too! Here are all the details about the camp.
The Fresh As A Daisy Stamp Camp will be held on July 7th and 8th. To register all you need to do is purchase the **Fresh as a Daisy Suite (161301) and the 2023-25 In Color Jute Trim (161637) and use the Host Code YERHAJKR. If you already own the Suite and the 2023-25 In Color Jute Trim simply order $81.50 worth of products from my online store and use the Host Code YERHAJKR. It is important to use the Host Code, it lets me know you want to participate in the stamp camp. **(In North America the Fresh As a Daisy Suite is currently unavailable. Please contact me [email protected] and we can talk about your options).
You will receive 13 kits which will include all the cardstock pieces necessary to make the projects. You will use your own DSP, stamps, dies and embellishments. Both a written and video tutorial will be provided for you for each project.
In addition to the 13 projects you will be invited to join a private Facebook group for the camp. On July 7th & 8th each design team member will present another project using the Fresh As a Daisy Suite. These lives will be spread out over the 2 days but they will be recorded so you can watch them when it is convenient for you.
Please contact me if you have any questions about the stamp camp. It is going to be a fun and creative time!
Stripes and florals are are meant to go together. Today I am pairing them up again.
I made a striped background with Lemon Lolly, Pool Party, Petal Pink, and Calypso Coral card stock. The stripes are a 1/4" and 3/4". The stripes are on a piece of Basic White cardstock measuring 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" and then layered on a Basic Black layer measuring 4" x 5-1/4".
The flowers are from the Paper Florist dies. I have used these particular dies a lot and I need to branch out and use some of the other dies to make flowers. In the centers of the flowers are white Classic Matte Dots.
The "Sending" was made using the Sending dies. The Big Hugs is from the Sending Smiles stamp set and heat embossed in White embossing powder and then cut using the Sending dies.
Inside I added a strip of Petal Pink CS and another flower. Just a little bit of decoration to finish off the card.
So what do you think? Do you like stripes and florals too?
Thanks for stopping by,

It is Thursday and time for a new Create with Connie & Mary Challenge. This week it is a sketch challenge.
I recently received the Delightfully Eclectic DSP and the designs in this paper pack are so pretty. I love the colors and patterns so much and am thinking that I might need to snag another pack while it is still on sale.
Stripes and florals make me happy! This sweet color combination of Bubble Bath and Garden Green just makes it even better. Did you notice the little Garden Green border? I used the Basic Borders die to make it. I like that little border to add a little visual separation between the 2 patterns. The lovely leaf is from the Gorgeously Made dies and the sweet little flowers were cut using the Crafting With You dies. I like that little flower die and have been using it a lot. The flowers were made with the Soft Shimmer Paper Combo Pack and a rhinestone center. The Soft Shimmer Paper in Bubble Bath was also used for the strip along the side of the card. The little Bubble Bath ribbon is from the 3/8" Sheer Ribbon Pack. The ribbons come in Azure Afternoon, Bubble Bath and Lemon Lolly and there is a delicate strip of silver along the edges.
I wanted to show you how pretty the Soft Shimmer paper is. I know I haven't captured it with this photo. It is shimmery but not necessarily glittery.
Inside of the card I added another Garden Green border and a strip of the lovely striped paper. I love having a stash of cards that can be used for lots of different occasions.
Welcome to the Stampers Dozen Blog Hop! We are a group of demonstrators that hop together on the 14th of every month. This month we have a sketch challenge. I love a good sketch and I enjoy seeing how everyone interprets the same sketch.
These pretty flowers from the Meadow dies were the first thing that came to mind when I saw the sketch. I cut the flowers out in Old Olive CS and then cut the flower heads out again in Berry Burst from the Soft Shimmer 12" x 12" Paper Combo Pack. I adhered the Berry Burst flower heads over the Old Olive. I also removed the leaves from the stems and placed them higher up so they would show above the sentiment. The stems were also cut and placed lower so they would peek out from the bottom of the sentiment.
The sentiment is from the Good Feelings stamp set. I have been wanting this stamp set for a while and finally ordered it. I like the large greetings and the mix of fonts. The sentiment was stamped in Berry Burst ink.
The Basic White layer was embossed using the Exposed Brick 3D folder. This is another embossing folder that creates an interesting texture without competing with the other images.
Thank for stopping by and be sure to check out the rest of the hop!
I had a plan to focus on one stamp set or bundle a week. Well, that plan got derailed by the Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper Sale. Instead of focusing on stamp sets I wanted to play with, I mean focus on all the pretty papers. So this week will be a hodgepodge of projects and hopefully soon I will return to my plan.
I cut out the frame from one of the designs of paper and layered it over a piece of Basic White CS. The paper is beautiful and I knew they would make lovely flowers and leaves. I heat embossed the flowers and leaves using Versamark ink and White Embossing powder.
I cut the flowers and leaves out using the Darling Details dies. It was fun playing florist and arranging the flowers and leaves on the frame. I also added a few Brushed Brass Butterflies. They were a fun accent flitting around the flowers. The sentiment is from the Darling Details stamp set and inked in Pretty Peacock ink.
Inside I added a strip of DSP and more flowers and leaves.

This month Stampin' Up! is having a sale on select packs of Designer Series Paper. One of the packs that is on sale for 15% off is Delightfully Eclectic. I have been eyeing this pack of paper and trying to resist purchasing it but when I saw it was included in the sale, I could resist no longer. This is a big pack with 4 each of 12 double-sided designs, 48 sheets of beautiful paper! The design I used for today's card is one of my favorites.
Aren't these colors wonderful? You know I like black, white with a pop of color. The beautiful paper really does most of the work.
Basic Black card base-4-1/4" x 11".
Basic White CS-3-3/8" x 5" (cut 2) cut using the scallop edge die from the Scalloped Contours Dies.
Delightfully Eclectic DSP- Floral design 3-1/4" x 3-3/4".
Delightfully Eclectic DSP-Black & White design 5/8" x 4" (cut 2)
Basic White CS- 3" x 3") Paper Flowers die.
The center of the paper flower was colored using Fresh Freesia ink and a sponge dauber. I wanted to mimic the flower on the DSP so I added the Basic Black Classic Matte Dots to the center.
The center of the flower was die cut using the Paper Florist die. I used it instead of the Classic Matte Dots so it would lay flatter.
I am going to leave this blank and add a sentiment later when I decide who I am sending this card to and for what reason. I think it would be appropriate for lots of different occasions.
