Good Feelings and the Meadow Dies
June 14, 2023
Welcome to the Stampers Dozen Blog Hop! We are a group of demonstrators that hop together on the 14th of every month. This month we have a sketch challenge. I love a good sketch and I enjoy seeing how everyone interprets the same sketch.
These pretty flowers from the Meadow dies were the first thing that came to mind when I saw the sketch. I cut the flowers out in Old Olive CS and then cut the flower heads out again in Berry Burst from the Soft Shimmer 12" x 12" Paper Combo Pack. I adhered the Berry Burst flower heads over the Old Olive. I also removed the leaves from the stems and placed them higher up so they would show above the sentiment. The stems were also cut and placed lower so they would peek out from the bottom of the sentiment.
The sentiment is from the Good Feelings stamp set. I have been wanting this stamp set for a while and finally ordered it. I like the large greetings and the mix of fonts. The sentiment was stamped in Berry Burst ink.
The Basic White layer was embossed using the Exposed Brick 3D folder. This is another embossing folder that creates an interesting texture without competing with the other images.
Thank for stopping by and be sure to check out the rest of the hop!
Love your take on the sketch! Also love that Berry Burst Shimmer paper. Thanks for sharing!

Sharon, I love how you rotated the layout to make it a landscape card and used the flower dies instead of strips of paper!!

Genius how you used the flowers in place of the strips!
