2024-25 Annual Catalog

DIY Calendar Blog Hop: January 2025

Mini Calendar Blog Hop Banner

Welcome Friends to a new blog hop and a new year!  On the first day of very month we will share a calendar page.  The calendar we are using is a template created by the organizer of this blog hop, Anne aka the Maui Stamper.  The calendar measures 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" and is a fun size to work with.

I wanted my January calendar to have a positive and motivating saying as well as being pretty.  I searched through my stamp sets and found the perfect  sentiment in the Round We Go stamp set from the 2024-25 Stampin' Up!® Annual Catalog.  I am excited for this new year and hope you are too!

RoundWeGo_SpringCorners_easel

I used the dies from an upcoming (January 7th 2025 release)  Online Exclusive bundle, Spring Corners.  I used the corner die and cut out the flowers in the corner of the Basic Black CS (2" x 3-3/8").  I filled in the flowers using another Online Exclusive (January 7, 2025 release), Pastel Ombre Glimmer Specialty Paper.  I cut the die multiple times to get the different colors.  I love puzzles and so this technique is like doing a puzzle.  I find it fun and relaxing.

RoundWeGo_SpringCorners_close

The Glimmer Paper is beautiful and the sparkle is so pretty embedded in the Basic Black CS.  Using the Take Your Pick Tool to pick up and place the Glimmer pieces makes this process much easier.

RoundWeGo_SpringCorners (1)

The sentiment from the Round We Go stamp set was inked in Versamark ink and heat embossed using the white embossing powder from the Basics Wow Embossing powder.

Cutest Cows Hello

It is Thursday which means it is time for a new Create with Stamping Friends Challenge.  This week we have a color challenge.  I thought this was a tough one-Wild Wheat, Copper Clay and Early Espresso.

844

This combination uses 2 of the 2023-25 In Colors; Wild Wheat and Copper Clay.   I don't use these colors as much as I should so this was a good challenge for me.

Crafting With You

It is Thursday and time for a new Create with Stamping Friends Challenge.  This week it is a sketch challenge and I had fun with this one!

839

I thought about doing leaves, snowflakes, and even reindeer.  As I looked through the possibilities I decided on something totally different!

CraftingWithYou_PoolParty

I used the Crafting With You dies and stamp set for my project.  It has been a while since I pulled out this set and dies and  it was so much fun.  Just love those little spools of thread, paper snips and the buttons!  I used Pool Party, Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight,  Real Red, Basic Black,  Smoky Slate and Crumb Cake cardstock.   The sentiment is from the Crafting With You stamp set.  The  Basic White circle was cut using the Everyday Details dies and the Basic Black circle layer was cut using the Stylish Shapes dies. The sweet ribbon is the Black & Vanilla Large Check Ribbon.  I wanted a little extra texture so I embossed the Basic White CS using the Eyelet 3D Embossing folder.

CraftingWithYou_PoolParty_In

Inside I added a strip of Basic Black CS and a Crumb Cake basket die cut full of more spools of thread.  There are so many crafty and cute items in the  Crafting With You die set.

Winterly Tree Tops & the Leaf Collection

WinterlyTreeTops_LeafCollection_side

It is Thursday and time for a new Create with Stamping Friends Challenge.  This week it is a color challenge.

834

I think this is a tough one.  Primarily because Moody Mauve and Soft Sea Foam are not colors I use very often.  This is one of the reasons I think it is valuable to participate in challenges like Create with Stamping Friends, you are "challenged" to use colors and layouts that are outside of your comfort zone.

WinterlyTreeTops_LeafCollection

WinterlyTreeTops_LeafCollection_In

  • Basic White CS layer 4" x 5-1/4"
  • Moody Mauve CS layer 1"  x 4"
