Citrus Blooms...Lemons or Oranges?

I have been playing with the Mediterranean Blooms suite.  What a beautiful suite.  Right now it is giving me sitting on the veranda vibes drinking lemonade or some other kind of citrusy drink.

CitrusBlooms_OrangesvsLemons (1)

I posted this question on my Facebook page and when I last looked it was all in favor of lemons.  What do you think?

CitrusBlooms_oranges_pocket

Here's a closer look at each card.   The orange was colored using Stampin' Blends in Pumpkin Pie, Lemon Lolly and Old Olive.

CitrusBlooms_Orangespocket_2

The card slides out of the DSP "pocket".

CitrusBlooms_Orangepocket_3

I love this sentiment from the Citrus Blooms stamp set.  I send many cards just to check in with people in hopes that it will brighten their day.

CitrusBlooms_lemonpocket

These lemons were fussy cut from the Mediterranean Blooms Designer Series Paper

CitrusBlooms_Lemonpocket_2

Ir can be a little tricky writing a note so you can also attach a piece of Basic White cardstock to the back of the insert.

CitrusBlooms_Lemonpocket_3

Let me know what you think...Lemons or Oranges?

ICS Blog Hop...It's A Guy Thing

ICS header

Welcome to the Inspire Create Share Blog Hop!  We are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators that hop together on the 2nd Wednesday of the month.  Every month there is a theme for the hop.  This month we are sharing cards for men. Just like cards for women, the card I create for a man really depends on who I am giving it to.

While I was looking for the stamp set to use for this hop when I came across the Simply Sparkling bundle the word "pop" just well popped out.  I thought it would be fun to use for a Father's Day card.

SimplySparkling_BestEver

I need to apologize that I used some retired foil for the bubbles and the top & bottom of the can.  I couldn't find my Silver Foil Sheets.  I like to believe that my craft room is pretty organized but I may be fooling myself.  The plaid paper on the can is another Online Exclusive-Tartan Foil Sheets.  These sheets come in a package with Copper Clay, Lost Lagoon, and Pebbled Path.  I used both sides of the Pebbled Path, the light on the can and the flip side which is a tone on tone Pebbled Path plaid for the rosettes.

The rosettes were made using the Round We Go dies.  I cut 2 pieces from the Tartan Foil sheet 1" x 5-1/4" for each rosette.  The die makes a larger rosette which was too big for me to have 2 of them on my card front.   They would be fine if I was making a slimline style card.   I like being able to customize the size of the rosettes!  I used a Real Red Stampin' Write Marker to partially ink the sentiment so I could separate the words.

The little circles on the sentiment circles, label, and the bubbles are pieces from the bubble centers.  It was great to  use them instead of just throwing them away.

SimplySparkling_BestEver_In

Inside a strip of the Pebbled Path Tartan Foil.  I like this tone on tone foil plaid.  The sentiment is from the May 2024 The Best There Is Paper Pumpkin kit.
