Peaceful Season

It is Thursday which means it is time for a new Create with Stamping Friends Challenge.  This week the challenge is a sketch and will be up for two weeks instead of the usual one week.

I wrestled with what to make with this sketch.  I tried lots of different ideas and then finally came up with this card.  Seems so simple now, though it was a journey.

Artful Amaryllis Bright and Beautiful Christmas

ArtfulAmaryllis_Bright&Beautiful_2

There are so many things I love about the Artful Amaryllis bundle.   The stamp set is so versatile with great sentiments and a Two-Step amaryllis image.  The dies create beautiful flowers with texture and cut work.  The flowers have so much detail.

  • Poppy Parade CS card base 4-1/4" x 11'
  • Basic Black CS layer 4" x 5-1/4"
  • Basic White CS layer 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" I lightly drew lines 1/2" apart and used them to line up the die to create the background.  I also slightly offset the position so every other design is positioned a little differently.
  • Poppy Parade CS for the flowers and buds.  I used the small Blending Brush to ink on Tuxedo Black Memento ink on the petals
  • Gold Shimmer paper (retired scrap) for the flower centers
  • Granny Apple Green CS for the leaves and stem
  • Lemon Lime Twist CS for the small leaf/wrap on the stem
  • Drusy Adhesive-Backed Embellishment for the centers
  • Basic Black CS label cut using the Autumn Leaves dies
  • Sentiment (Artful Amaryllis set) inked in Versamark, sprinkled with white embossing powder and heated with a Heat Tool
  • Drusy Adhesive-Backed Embellishment to add sparkle to the sentiment

ArtfulAmaryllis_Bright&Beautiful_inside

  • Basic Black CS layer 4" x 5-1/4"
  • Basic White CS layer 3-7/8" x 5-1/8"
  • Basic White CS strip 5/8" x  3-7/8"
  • Sentiment from the Reindeer Fun stamp set inked in Tuxedo Black Memento ink
  • Poppy Parade CS amaryllis

Artful Amaryllis in White

One of the many bundles in the 2024 September-December Mini Catalog that caught my eye was the Artful Amaryllis.  I don't remember Stampin' Up! ever having an amaryllis bundle before.  I also liked that there were sentiments that could be used for Christmas and beyond.

Winterly Tree Tops & the Leaf Collection

WinterlyTreeTops_LeafCollection_side

It is Thursday and time for a new Create with Stamping Friends Challenge.  This week it is a color challenge.

834

I think this is a tough one.  Primarily because Moody Mauve and Soft Sea Foam are not colors I use very often.  This is one of the reasons I think it is valuable to participate in challenges like Create with Stamping Friends, you are "challenged" to use colors and layouts that are outside of your comfort zone.

WinterlyTreeTops_LeafCollection

WinterlyTreeTops_LeafCollection_In

  • Basic White CS layer 4" x 5-1/4"
  • Moody Mauve CS layer 1"  x 4"
  • Soft Sea Foam CS stamped with the Leaf Collection stamp with Soft Sea Foam ink 7/8" x 4"
  • Winterly Tree Tops image inked with Pebbled Path ink on Basic White CS
  • Image colored using Soft Sea Foam and Moody Mauve Stampin' Blends
  • Berries twinkled with Wink of Stella
