Detailed Dogwood and Something Fancy
January 05, 2024
Ready for the first Festive Friday challenge of 2024? What is the Festive Friday challenge? The Festive Friday challenge is a bi-weekly challenge that is inspired by a holiday/festivity. An Inspo list of 10 items is created using the festivity as its inspiration. To play in the challenge you need to use 3 items from the Inspo list on your project and enter it in the Festive Friday gallery. We love seeing what you choose from the Inspo list and look forward to seeing what you create.
I chose from the Inspo List-Gold, Red, and Good Luck Sentiment.
- Basic Black card base 4-1/4" x 11" scored at 4-1/2" and 5-1/2".
- Secure down the 1" between the 2 score lines.
- 3/4" x 4" strip of Distressed Gold DSP adhered to the top of the card.
- 3-1/2" x 3-3/4" Distressed Gold layer.
- 3-1/4" x 3-1/2" Real Red CS. Stamp in Versamark ink the Detailed Dogwood image (Sale-A-Bration )and the sentiment from the Something Fancy stamp set.
- Sprinkle Gold Embossing powder over the ink and heat emboss.
- Attach the Real Red CS to the Distressed Gold layer and then to the card front.
- Wrap the gold Simply Elegant Trim around the top of the card and tie a bow.
- Attach the black Adhesive-Backed Sparkle Gems to the front.
- 4-1/4" x 4-1/4" Basic White CS for the inside of the card.
- Stamp in Versmark ink the dragonfly from the Detailed Dogwood set. Sprinkle with gold embossing powder and heat emboss.
- Attach a 1/2" strip of Distressed Gold paper to the bottom of the Basic White CS.
- Adhere the Basic White CS to the inside of the card.
Here's another view of the card. This is a quick and easy fun fold.
The Detailed Dogwood stamp set is one of my favorite sets from the 2024 Sale-A-Bration catalogue. It is elegant and a great one to use for collages.
Be sure to check out what the rest of the Festive Friday Design team created for this challenge.
Thanks for stopping by and we look forward to seeing what you create using the Festive Friday Inspo List,
BEAUTIFUL!!!! Great use of sale-a-bration set.
