Around the World on Wednesday...March Blues
March 13, 2024
Welcome to the Around the World on Wednesday blog hop! We are a group of international Stampin' Up!® demonstrators who have gathered together for a monthly blog hop. The blog hop goes live on the 2nd Wednesday of the month. Join us and enjoy a hop around the world!
This month the theme is March Blues. Pool Party, Balmy Blue, Boho Blue, Misty Moonlight, and Night of Navy are the blues for the challenge. I mis- interpreted the challenge and used a few extra neutral colors...OOOPSIE!
I had no clue what I was going to make and just started to play around with strips of Boho Blue, Misty Moonlight, and Night of Navy CS. I started to weave the strips and felt it needed some white so I added Basic White Strips. The woven piece reminded me of placemats or a tablecloth which would be perfect for a little coffee scene. The cups and french press were made using the Latte Love dies. For the french press I also used the Holographic Trio Paper, Basic White, and Early Espresso CS. The sentiment is in the Latte Love stamp set. I carefully inked up the stamp to omit part of the sentiment. The gorgeous ribbon is the Night of Navy Bordered Ribbon. Love this kind of ribbon, soft and ties beautifully.
Inside I inked the other half of the sentiment along with more coffee cups. The tiny flowers on the cups (on the front too) are from the Thoughtful Moments dies. They were cut using the Holographic Trio Paper.
Now it is time to see what the talented Chris Smith created.
Be sure to check out all the stops on the hop!
Thanks for stopping by!
Oh this is pretty cute Sharon. Those little espresso cups are just adorable. Love how you used the Holographic paper for the French Press! It is early morning here and I swear I can smell that freshly pressed coffee! hmmmmm! xx
