DIY Calendar Blog Hop: January 2025
January 01, 2025
Welcome Friends to a new blog hop and a new year! On the first day of very month we will share a calendar page. The calendar we are using is a template created by the organizer of this blog hop, Anne aka the Maui Stamper. The calendar measures 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" and is a fun size to work with.
I wanted my January calendar to have a positive and motivating saying as well as being pretty. I searched through my stamp sets and found the perfect sentiment in the Round We Go stamp set from the 2024-25 Stampin' Up!® Annual Catalog. I am excited for this new year and hope you are too!
I used the dies from an upcoming (January 7th 2025 release) Online Exclusive bundle, Spring Corners. I used the corner die and cut out the flowers in the corner of the Basic Black CS (2" x 3-3/8"). I filled in the flowers using another Online Exclusive (January 7, 2025 release), Pastel Ombre Glimmer Specialty Paper. I cut the die multiple times to get the different colors. I love puzzles and so this technique is like doing a puzzle. I find it fun and relaxing.
The Glimmer Paper is beautiful and the sparkle is so pretty embedded in the Basic Black CS. Using the Take Your Pick Tool to pick up and place the Glimmer pieces makes this process much easier.
The sentiment from the Round We Go stamp set was inked in Versamark ink and heat embossed using the white embossing powder from the Basics Wow Embossing powder.
Thank you for stopping by and be sure to check out all the stops on the hop!
Be sure to check out the January 7th Online Exclusive release for information about the Spring Corners bundle and the Patel Ombre Glimmer paper!

This is so striking! I wouldn't have thought to use a black background but it works so well.
