Layers of Beauty

It is Thursday and time for a new Creating with Stamping Friends challenge.  This week we have a color challenge.

I love these colors but I wasn't quite sure how to use them so I turned to my go-to bundle- Layers of Beauty.   The Layers of Beauty bundle includes a stamp set, masks, and dies.

The image was inked in Tuxedo Black Memento ink.  Using a Blending Brush and Melon Mambo ink I colored the first mask.  I made sure the color was quite light by first brushing off some of the ink on a scrap piece of paper.  You can see that the there is a slight variation in the light color on the petals, which adds to the effect.  The second mask I did not brush off the ink very much before applying the Melon Mambo ink.  This color is more of a true Melon Mambo.  The third mask colored in the small flower centers and the darker color on the roses.  Here i used the Summer Splash ink.  The 4th and 5th masks colored in the leaves in with Lemon Lime Twist ink.

The sentiment is from the Layers of Beauty set on a Nested Essentials banner.  There are 2024-26 In Color Shimmer Gems on the banner and scattered around the card.  The ribbon is a White 1/2" Woven ribbon (OLE-Online Exclusive).

The card base is Basic White CS.  The next layer is Lemon Lime Twist and the last layer is Summer Splash CS that has been embossed using the Mini Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder (OLE-Online Exclusive).
