Hey Love for the Create with Connie & Mary Challenge #544

It is Thursday which means it is time for the Create with Connie & Mary Challenge.  This week we have a sketch challenge!  The sketch was a perfect one for me to incorporate the adorable little skunk from the Hey Love stamp set.

First the sketch.

Here's what I made using the Hey Love set and the sketch.

AstheInkDries-HeyLove-CCMC544

The patterned paper I used is from the All My Love DSP.  Once again Stampin' Up! created a beautiful pack of paper.  Lots of beautiful designs that can be used for all kinds of occasions. In addition to the Hey Love stamp set, I used the Forever Lovely set for the floating hearts.   It looks like I used a couple of different ink pads for the hearts but I only used one, Lovely Lipstick.  The stamp is a Distinktive stamp.  The way it is made creates the different shades.

Be sure to check out what the other members of the design team created for this challenge.  I know you be inspired by their creations!

Forever Lovely and the Create with Connie & Mary Challenge

Ready for the Create with Connie & Mary Color Challenge?  Here we go!

CCMC543

Love this bright combination of colors!

AstheInkDries-ForeverLovely-CCMC543

I used the Forever Lovely bundle to create this card.  The only real tricky part about this card is I had to inlay the Call Me Clover little leaves and hearts.  Yes, those die cuts are tiny but using the Take Your Pick Tool made it SO much easier.

I think the large floral stamp in the Forever Lovely set is so pretty and so I had to stamp the inside of the card with it.

I made 2 versions of this card one with Calypso Coral ribbon  and one without.

Not sure which I like better.  What do you think?

Hey Love for the Create with Connie & Mary Challenge

Today is the first day of the Stampin' Up! Occasions catalog and the start of Sale-A-Bration!  This year's Occasion catalog is one of the very best.  One of the stamp sets that just made me smile is Hey Love.  I just love the adorable animals.  When I bought this set I wanted to find ways to use it for more than just Valentine cards.  I decided to use it for this week's Create with Connie and Mary sketch challenge.

CCMC542

I paired the alligator from Hey Love with one of the sentiments from Amazing Life.

ASID-HeyLove-CCMC542

I used the bright and bold Happiness Blooms DSP.  This paper makes me happy,  I love the designs and the cheerful colors.  If you got this card in the mail wouldn't it bring a smile to your face?

Be sure to check out what the other members of the design team created using the sketch.  All the cards I saw were so different from each other but unified by the sketch.  Thanks for stopping by.  If you are not currently working with a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and would like to see the Occasions and Sale-A-Bration catalogs, contact me and I will get them out to you.

Butterfly Beauty and the Create with Connie & Mary Challenge

The Create with Connie and Mary Challenge is back with a new color challenge.

CCMC541

Isn't this a striking color combination?  One of the reasons I enjoy being on the Create with Connie & Mary Challenge design team is it forces me to stamp outside of my comfort zone, I love these colors but am not sure I would have put them together.

AstheInkDries-BeautyAbounds-CCMC541

These butterflies were cut using the Butterfly Beauty thinlits.  I love these thinlits!  I think they are one of the many must haves in the new upcoming Occasions catalog.  I added the "amazing" from the Celebrate You thinlits in the Stampin' Up!® Annual catalog.  The Blueberry Bushel card stock was texturized using the Subtle embossing folder.

What would you make using this vibrant color combination?  Be sure to check out what the other members of the design team created for this week's challenge.

Signs of Santa and the Create with Connie & Mary Challenge

There were so many fabulous stamp sets and bundles in the 2018 Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog.  So many sets I am going to miss.  I had so much fun with the Signs of Santa stamp set and the coordinating dies and wanted to play with them for this week's Create with Connie & Mary Challenge.

CCMC540

I saw the long strip behind the oval and immediately thought of the North Pole sign in the Signs of Santa stamp set.  The rest of the card just fell into place after that.

AstheInkDries-SignsofSanta-CCMC540

Unfortunately it appears that the Santa's Signpost framelits are no longer available.  I used them to cut out the pole and Santa.  Fortunately, most of the images  in this stamp set are not very intricate so it wouldn't be too difficult to cut them by hand.  The patterned paper I used is the Santa's Workshop Specialty DSP. I cut out the scallop from one of the designs to use as a border.  The Poppy Parade polka dot is also from the Santa's Workshop paper pack.

This challenge is for 2 weeks so the design team will have a little break to prepare and enjoy the holidays.  This will also give you a little extra time to check out what the other designers created for this challenge.

Apron of Love for the Create with Connie & Mary Challenge

I cannot decide which I like better Color Challenges or Sketch Challenges but I do know that I certainly enjoy the Create with Connie & Mary Challenges.  This week it is a color challenge, Gray Granite, Mossy Meadow and Cherry Cobbler.

CCMC539

I have been wanting to create a little treat holder to house some kisses as little favors.  Looking through my dies I came across the Apron Builder framelits and thought they just might be perfect.  I haven't used these framelits or the coordinating Apron of Love stamp set nearly enough.

AstheInkDries-ApronofLove

I created a little box and sandwiched it between two aprons  and decorated it using the Peaceful Poinsettia bundle which is one of my  favorite bundles.  The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set.  The little 3" x 3" card is decorated with the cute wreath from the Barn Door stamp set and the Sliding Door Framelits.

Here's all the things I used to make today's projects.

All the Good Things and the Create with Connie and Mary Challenge

Today for the Create with Connie and Mary Challenge I am using the All the Good Things stamp set.  The challenge this week is to create a project using the colors Tranquil Tide, Gray Granite and Copper Foil.

CCMC537

AstheInkDries-AlltheGoodThings

This is a very quick and easy card to recreate.  The sentiment and image are on one stamp so all I had to do was stamp it with Tranquil Tide ink once on the Gray Granite panel.  I layered the image on  Copper Foil  and then on one of the designs from the Joyous Noel Specialty Designer Series Paper.  Unfortunately this pack of Designer Paper was SO popular and is sold out and no longer available to order.  I usually do not use product that is not orderable but the design matched the image so well that I couldn't resist.

Wishing  you a very Happy Thanksgiving.  I hope you are safe, warm and spending it with loved ones.

Merry Christmas to All and the Create with Connie & Mary Challenge

It is Thursday which means it is time for the Create with Connie and Mary Challenge.  This week it is a sketch challenge.  I like that the challenge alternates between color and sketch challenges.

CCMC536

I created this sample a few weeks ago and at that time the Joyous Noel Specialty Designer Series Paper was still available for purchase.  It is now sold out.

AstheInkDries-CCMC536

Along with the Joyous Noel DSP I used the Snowfall Thinlits dies to cut out the Copper Foil snowflakes.  Remember the Snowfall Thinlits are only available in November or while supplies last.  The sentiment is from the Merry Christmas to All stamp set.  The gorgeous ribbon is the Merry Merlot & Copper Reversible ribbon.    What makes this ribbon so special is that one side is Merry Merlot and the other is  Merry Merlot with a coppery sheen.

I decided to make another card using patterned paper that was still available for purchase.

AstheInkDries-UndertheMistletoe-CCMC536

This patterned paper is called Under the Mistletoe and can be found in the annual catalog. I cut out the snowflakes using the Snowfall thinlits and the Sparkle Glimmer paper.  The sentiment is from the Snow is Glistening stamp set.  This stamp set that coordinates with the Snowfall thinlits and is available in November or while supplies last.

Now it is time to check out what the other designers created using this sketch.  Go to the Create with Connie and Mary blog and check out the challenge!
