Gift Ideas

Latte Love Thank you

This week I will be sharing projects using the Latte Love bundle.   This super fun bundle is part of the Little Latte Collection.  The Suite includes the Latte Love bundle,  Little Latte DSP, Natural Polka Dot Trim,  and Adhesive-Backed Swirl Gems.  This  is one very fun suite!

LatteLove_GiftCard

The card base is Pecan Pie CS.  The background papers and the mugs are all from the Little Latte Designer Series Paper.  The mugs were fussy cut from the DSP.  The spoons were stamped using Smoky Slate ink on Smoky Slate cardstock and die cut using the Latte Love dies.  The French Press just may be my favorite.  The "hardware" on the French Press is Lost Lagoon CS, the glass is vellum and the coffee is Early Espresso CS.  The sentiments is from the Latte Love set inked in Pecan Pie on a Basic White CS banner.  The banner was cut using the Something Fancy dies.  I cannot believe that I didn't use the Adhesive-Backed Swirl Gems on the banner.  Instead I used the Calypso Coral gems from the Opaque Faceted Gems.  These gems were one of the 2024 Sale-A-Bration choices.

LatteLove_GiftCard_open

Inside there is a pocket to hold a gift card.  This is a simple gift card holder.  I cut a slit from the center fold to the edge at 1-1/4".  Glue down along the bottom 4-1/4" side and the 1-1/4" side.  Do not glue the top or you will not have a pocket.   Fussy cut another mug from the DSP and stamped in Pecan Pie ink the sentiment.

  • Card Base-Pecan Pie CS 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" slit cut from fold to edge at 1-1/4"
  • Plaid design from the Little Latte DSP 4" x 4"
  • Calypso Coral coffee bean design 1" x 4"
  • Basic White (inside) 4" x 4-1/2"

Petal Passion DSP Gift Card holder

I received a card featuring this fun fold from Megan at the November OnStage event.  I changed it just a little bit to make it a gift card holder and also added a belly band.  The basic fold is the same.  Thanks Megan!

AstheInkDriesPetalPassiongiftcard

I used my favorite Petal Passion paper.  I fussy cut around one of the flowers and colored it using Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive Stampin' Blends.  The sentiment is from the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set and can I put my request in for a whole sentiment set using this font combination?

AstheInkDriesPetalPassionGCfront

I used the dies from the Lots to Love Box Framelits to cut the slits that hold the gift card.  These little dies makes it so easy to make gift card holders.

Magical Day and the Lots to Love Box

Don't you love when you find something that just perfectly coordinates with your stamps?

AstheInkDriesLotstoLoveboxunicorn

I almost squealed out loud when I saw this  package of gum at the checkout at Target.  So cute, right?  I couldn't wait to get home so I could make this sample!  I pulled out my Lots to Love Box framelit dies and the Magical Day bundle and got to work.

1..Cut out 2 of the Lots to Love Box framelit.

2.  Measure the gum packet from the bottom to where you want the circle to begin (7/8").  Use the #5 circle (#1 being the smallest) Layering Circle framelits and position it at 3/4" from the bottom edge of the box.  Why the difference?  There is about a 1/8" rim from the edge of the framelit to the actual cutting edge of the framelit.  Cut out the circle.  Assemble the box.  Insert the gum packet.  You may need to adjust it slightly to fit and have the unicorn show through the window.

3.  Stamp the unicorn from the Magical Day stamp set.  Color using Stampin' Write markers.  I used Pumpkin Pie, Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry, Bermuda Bay, and Lemon Lime Twist.  I used a Q-tip to add a little Pink Pirouette cheek blush to mimic the unicorn on the gum.  Cut out the unicorn using the Magical Mates Framelits dies.

4.  Wrap the 3/8" Lemon Lime Twist Mini Striped Ribbon around the box and tie a bow.  Attach the unicorn using Dimensionals.

5.  Use a Black Stampin' Write marker and color in the sentiment only on the stamp from the A Good Day stamp set and  punch out using a 1" circle punch.  Punch out a Lemon Lime Twist 1-1/8" Scallop Circle.   Layer the punches and attach to the box using a Stampin' Dimensional.

I am entering this project in the What Will You Stamp challenge#156 Magical Day.  I would encourage you to check out the challenge!   The Lots to Love Box frameltis are the best!.  So many fun ways to use them, kind of like the little black dress of framelits.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day!

AstheInkDriesPP1-2018

I modified the January Paper Pumpkin project.  I cut off 1-1/2" from the original card.

AstheInkDriesPP1-2018open

Now it holds a tea bag perfectly.

AstheInkDriesPP1-20183

I used the framelits from the Lots to Love Box framelits to hold the tea bag in place.  I enjoy receiving the Paper Pumpkin kit every month.  The stamp sets are on trend and perfect for the upcoming season.  I also like having everything cut and ready for me to create with.  If this sounds like something you might enjoy Sale-A-Bration is a perfect time to purchase a Paper Pumpkin subscription.   Consider it a Valentine's gift to yourself.

Magical Day Mermaid and the Sharks

Last November, I received the Magical Day stamp set at Stampin' Up's On Stage event.  Honestly, this would not have been a set that I would normally have ordered.  I guess Prize Patrol works in mysterious ways because now that I have gotten a chance to play with it, I love it!

AstheInkDriesSLmtg1-18favor

Aren't these fun?  I made a few of these as favors for a meeting.  The sentiment is from the Picture Perfect Birthday set and I am a big fan of the sentiments in that set. Treat yourself is a perfect sentiment for all those little treats we like to make and give.

Did you notice the glittery turquoise heart?   That is one of the colors from the Myths & Magic 6" x 6" Glimmer paper.  The Glimmer paper pack comes in Iridescent, light green, and turquoise.  You get 8 sheets of each color in the pack.  Love!

I am so happy that I got this set and am enjoying expanding my stamping horizons!

The Lots to Love Box Framelit Dies

I am more or less done with my Christmas shopping, cards and best of all mailing!  Yesterday I went to the Post Office and it was busy but I really did not have to wait very long.  I am just so happy that I got it done!  What does this have to do with the Lots of Love Box dies?  Here's a very little something I gave to the person who helped me at the counter.

AstheInkDriescocoa

I used the Lots to Love Box dies to make this cute little box.  The box comes together quickly and it's a cute way to give a little gift.  After the Post Office I went to the store to see what other little goodies I could find to package up.  I will share those soon.

AstheInkDriesLotstoLoveteabox

Here's another idea of how to use the framelits.  I cut down the box to fit these tea bags.  Isn't the Christmas Around the World DSP just perfect for these tea bags?  The box holds about 3 tea bags and I am making more of these.   I may just be a little obsessed with this little box and what it can hold.  I will be sharing more ideas on my Facebook page so be sure to follow me there too.

Test Tube Tuesday

Is Test Tube Tuesday really a thing?  No, it probably isn't but maybe it will become one now that test tubes are available in the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog.

AstheInkDriesTestube

I used the Clear Tiny Treat Boxes in the Annual Catalog as the base for my test tube holder.   The cute Halloween paper is from the Spooky Night Designer Series Paper which is secured to the lid of the box with the Black Shimmer Ribbon.  The black cat is also punched out from the Spooky Night DSP using the Cat Punch. The pumpkins are stamped using the Pick a Pumpkin stamp set and cut out with the coordinating Patterned Pumpkin Thinlit dies.  Remember when you buy this stamp set and coordinating dies (the Pick a Pumpkin bundle) you save 10%.

Are you wondering what I put in the test tubes?  The test tubes are food safe and accommodate lots of different treats.  I filled these with sunflower seeds!  I am always on the lookout for different treat ideas and I already had some sunflower seeds  on hand.

Quick and Easy Treat Box

AstheInkDrieshersheytreat

I love the Acetate Card boxes that are in the Holiday catalog.   They are great for packaging up cards and treats too.  I found these little candy bars that were all dressed up for Halloween.  I wanted them to stay upright and organized in the box so I placed them in the 2" x 8" cello bags and then into the acetate card box.  To make the little gift even more festive I made a belly band using the images from the Spooky Night Designer Series Paper. Did you know that the Patterned Pumpkins Thinlit Dies cut out the pumpkins featured on the Spooky Night DSP?  Isn't that awesome?!  I love how there is so much coordination between the products in the Holiday catalog.  I also used the Cat punch to punch out the cats that are also on the Spooky Night DSP.  The sentiment is from the Spooky Cat stamp set.

Beverage Bar Cheers

It's another late night posting!   I am always picking up something here and there that I think will make a cute project.  Can you guess what I picked up and packaged?

AstheInkDriesBeverageBarbag

I used the Beverage Bar stamp set for the cute glasses and sentiment.  No, there isn't a bottle of champagne in the bag.

AstheInkDriesBeverageBargum

I never knew there was such a thing as champagne gum!  I tried to mimic the image on the package and used Pink Pirouette and So Saffron ink.   I added some Fine-Tip glue to make the contents look more like liquid.  The Striped Treat Bags are very pretty and shiny.  It doesn't take much to create some pretty packaging when you start with such a beautiful bag.   The bags are also food safe.

Add some Striped Treat Bags to your next order and you will always be ready to create some pretty packaging!

Mini Pizza Box and Notes

I am getting this post done with just a few hours to spare.  One of the fun new accessories in the Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog is the Mini Pizza Box. These little boxes are perfect for holding a cookie or a few note cards.    They are easy to assemble so you can get to the fun part of decorating them quickly.

Want to see what I put inside?   I made 3 little note cards that measure 3" x 3" and the best part is that we can now purchase little envelopes for the cards.  The envelopes are on page 44 of the Holiday Catalog.

Lemon Zest Tea Treat

Lately I have been trying to make little treat bags that are not filled with candy.  It seems like more and more people are trying to reduce their sugar intake.  Here is one idea that uses the Lemon Zest bundle

LemonZestSharonBurkert

Cute right?  The bricks on the topper are actually embossing paste that I colored using a drop of Daffodil Delight re-inker.  I also mixed in some Dazzling Diamond glitter in the paste to give it a subtle glittery look.  The brick pattern is a stencil in the Pattern Party Decorative Masks.  The lemon is stamped in Crushed Curry with Garden Green leaves and punched out using the Lemon Builder punch.

The Lemon Zest bundle is great for all kinds of treat bags, gifts and cards too!
