Welcome to the Creativity Abounds Blog Hop!  We are an international group of Stampin' Up!® demonstrators.  We hop together on the third Wednesday of every month.  Our hops focus around a particular bundle, holiday, occasion or product suite.  This month we are focusing on sharing projects using the 2023-25 In Colors.

Every month we also create a tutorial bundle. The tutorial bundle is available as a gift with a qualifying purchase or can also be purchased.   We also have a stamp camp 3 times a year.  The next camp will be on July 7th and 8th and will feature the Fresh as a Daisy Suite.  You will receive 13 make and takes, access to a private Facebook group and 2 days of even more ideas using the Suite.  All you will need to do is purchase the Fresh As A Daisy Suite and the 2023-24 In Color Jute using this Host Code 7W94CTHJ.   If you already own the suite and the In Color Jute, simply order $81.50 in product from my online store and use the Host Code.  If your order is $150 or more do not use the host code, instead email me that you want to be a part of the Fresh As A Daisy stamp camp.

CA team

The Fresh As a Daisy DSP is full of the 2023-25 In Colors.   One of the papers looks like a patchwork.  There are 10 designs and I am using the one in the middle which uses Boho Blue and Copper Clay together.

DarlingDetails_FreshAsADaisyDSP

The card base is Boho Blue CS 4-1/4" x 11", scored at 2-3/4", 4-1/4", 7-1/4" and 8-1/2".  Are you a little confused?  Hold on it will become clear soon.  The Copper Clay CS layer measures 4" x  4" and the DSP measures 3-3/4" x 3-3/4".  The ribbon is the Boho Blue 3/8" Textured Ribbon.  The sentiment is from the Darling Details stamp set inked in Copper Clay and punched out using the Double Oval punch.  The cute little gems on the oval are from the Adhesive-Backed Solid Gems.

DarlingDetails_FreshAsADaisyDSP-2

The second Copper Clay CS layer measures 3-1/2" x 4".  The Boho Blue layer is another pattern from the Fresh As A Daisy DSP and it measures 3-1/4" x 3-3/4".  The Basic White CS measures 2" x 3".

DarlingDetails_FreshAsADaisyDSP-3

The last Copper Clay CS layer measures 2-1/4" x 4".  The Basic White layer measures 2" x 3-3/4" and the strip of DSP is 3/8" x 3-3/4".  Instead of Basic White CS you could use a piece of DSP measuring 2" x 3-3/4".  I used the Basic White CS so there was a little more room to write a note.

I love that this card looks like it is just a regular card and then it unfolds to show the different panels.  Very fun and it shows off how pretty these 2 In Colors look together.

Thank you for stopping by and be sure to let me know if you have any questions about this card and/ or the upcoming Fresh As A Daisy stamp camp!

Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop...CAS(e)ing Bruno Bertucci

Awow banner

Welcome to the Around the World on Wednesday blog hop,  #aWOWbloghop.  We have 27  stops on this  hop representing 13 different time zones (Midnight in Hawaii through 10 PM in New Zealand) in all of Stampin' Up's markets!  Thank you so much for joining us as we hop Around the World on Wednesday!

This month we are CAS(e)ing a Team Member.  A random draw was done by our fearless leader, Angie and I get to CAS(e) one of our special guests, Bruno Bertucci!  Can I say I was both excited and nervous?!  I mean seriously?!?  I know what you are thinking.  Why don't I CAS(e) his scrappy strip technique, sunshine starburst technique, floating globe card or...there are so many fabulous possibilities!  Now do you understand the excited and nervous!?

Well, I did a deep dive and did you know that Bruno has a blog of his own?  Yup, and it was there I found the card I wanted to CAS(e).  It is ironic that the card I chose, is one he created for a blog hop and the theme was to CAS(e) their special guest!   I feel strange posting his picture ( I failed to ask him ahead of time) so instead here is the link to the post and you can see Bruno's card.

ASID-aWOWJuly

On Bruno's card he used Lemon Lime Twist, Tranquil Tide, Tempting Turquoise, Smoky Slate, and Basic Gray.  Gorgeous color combination inspired by his favorite bath towel.  Sadly the first 3 colors have been retired so I replaced them with some of the new 2020-22 In Colors,  Bumblebee, Just Jade, and Misty Moonlight.

I sure wish I owned the Stitched Triangle dies.  Having those dies would have made making this card much faster.  Instead I cut out squares using the smallest Layering Squares die and cut the squares in half to make the triangles.  Not difficult, just a little more cutting.

ASID-aWOW-Julyside

For the sentiment I used the Ornate Thanks stamp set.  After I attached the sentiment panel I realized that it was a bit crooked.  Normally, I would just carefully peel it off and reposition it BUT I learned something else about Bruno's card making and I CAS(e)d that too!

ASID-aWOWhop-dimensionals

Yes, Bruno is a person who believes in a lot of dimensionals!  Do you think he would approve?  I may have gone a little overboard or maybe not.  This was super fun and I hope Bruno thinks I did an okay job CAS(e)ing him.

Not it is time to head on over to see who the talented Teri West  is CAS(e)ing.

Blossoms in Bloom Shades of Blue

Played around with Misty Moonlight (2020-22 In Color), Seaside Spray (2019-21 In Color). and Night of Navy color combination.  I cut one of each color using both the detailed and bold dies in the Many Layered Blossoms ,part of the Blossoms in Bloom bundle.  I also cut one of each color in 4" x 5-1/4" and a card base, 4-1/4" x 11".  It was fun playing around with the different combinations  mixing and matching.

ASID-BlossomsinBloom-bluetrio

This was a fun way to play with Misty Moonlight and the Blossoms in Bloom bundle.

ASID-BlossomsinBloom-NightofNavy

The card base is Seaside Spray, the layer is Night of Navy (embossed using the Tasteful Textile 3D folder), the bold die is Seaside Spray and the detailed die is Misty Moonlight.  The sentiment was embossed in white embossing powder on a strip of Misty Moonlight cardstock.

ASID-BlossomsinBloom-SeasideSpray

The card base is Misty Moonlight cardstock, the layer is Seaside Spray cardstock, the bold die is Misty Moonlight, and the detailed die is Night of Navy cardstock.  The sentiment was heat embossed white embossing powder on Night of Navy cardstock.

ASID-BlossomsinBloom-MistyMoonlight

The card base is Night of Navy, the layer is Misty Moonlight, the bold die is Night of Navy and the detailed die is Seaside Spray cardstock.  The sentiment was embossed in white embossing powder on Night of Navy cardstock.

There are 7 sentiments in the Blossoms in Bloom stamp set covering a wide range of occasions.   I love this bundle and how versatile it is and look forward  experimenting with different color combination and coloring techniques.

Rise & Shine

How are you?  Hope you are doing well.  I made it a full 7 days of posting here!  It hasn't always been early but I am giving myself some grace and just working on sharing something here everyday.   Today's project was one we made at the last face to face event I did.  It seems so long ago, when in fact it was less than 3 weeks ago. How things have changed.

ASID-Rise&Shine-box

This is a sleeve for the Acetate Card Boxes.  We used a sponge brayer to color the Flowering Foils Specialty Designer Paper and attached it to some Grapefruit Grove cardstock.  Grapefruit Grove is one of the 2018-20 In Colors and I really like how it plays so nicely with Petal Pink and Calypso Coral.   We stamped the mug from Rise & Shine (Sale-A-Bration 2020) and cut it out using the Cup of Cheer dies.

Wondering what's inside the box?

ASID-Rise&Shine-boxopen

A package of Mug Treats along with a spoon!  This particular treat is a Cinnamon Roll Cake Mix and even comes with a little package of topping.  This would make a great little sweet gift and since you are starting with an acetate box, quick to make too!

Remember Sale-A-Bration and the Coordination Products ends on March 31!  Have a great Sunday and thanks for stopping by.

Band Together for the Create with Connie & Mary Challenge #CCMC588

It is Thursday which means it is time for the Create with Connie & Mary Challenge.  This week it is a sketch challenge #CCMC588.

CCMC588

I have the Band Together bundle on my mind since it is one of 8 bundles that are an extra 5% off during the Online Extravaganza (11/20-11/22)

AstheInkDries-CCMC588

I cut the largest circle using the Layering Circles die in Purple Posy card stock (Purple Posy card stock along with the other In Color card stocks are also on the Online Extravaganza).  I stamped the large flower in Tuxedo Black Memento ink.  I colored in the flowers using Night of Navy and Purple Posy Stampin' Blends.  Since the card stock is Purple Posy there isn't too much coloring to be done on the flowers. I colored the space around the flowers using the Dark Night of Navy Stampin' Blend.

AstheInkDries-CCMC588close

I applied Clear Wink of Stella on the flowers to give them some extra shine.  The flower circle was layered on to a Purple Posy scalloped circle.

AstheInkDries-CCMC588side

The Night of Navy card stock was embossed using the Scripty 3-D folder.  I cut one of the beautiful bands and which is partially hidden by the circle of flowers.  The little sentiment is from the Free as A Bird stamp set.  The little butterflies were cut using the Butterfly Beauty dies.  The card base is a 4-1/4" x 11" piece of Purple Posy card stock.

This was a fun sketch and I loved using one of my favorite bundles, Band Together.  Be sure to stop by and see what the rest of the design team created using this sketch.

Hello Lovely Lipstick!

Still playing around with the new colors.  Let me introduce you to Lovely Lipstick, a 2018-20 In Color.

AstheInkDries-LovelyLipstick-side

Here I paired Lovely Lipstick with Night of Navy & Early Espresso  (Neutrals Collection).  Isn't it just a beautiful color and perfectly named.  In fact this color would indeed make a lovely lipstick.  I also used another 2018-20 In Color Call Me Clover for the leaves.  The 2018-20 In Colors are bright, happy and  clean colors.
