Memories & More

Sweet Thoughts Memories & More

It is Thursday and time for a new Create with Connie & Mary Challenge.  This week we have a new sketch.

I chose to use the Sweet Thoughts Memories & More Card Pack from the 2024 January-April Mini Catalog.  The Memories & More Card Packs can be used for your memory keeping.  They are great for pocket pages as well as traditional layouts.  They can also be used to make cards.  In the card pack there are 50 double sided cards in both 3" x 4" and 4" x 6" and 6 sticker sheets.

  • The card base is 4-1/4" x 11 Thick Basic White CS.
  • Garden Green CS layer is 4-1/8" x 5-3/8".
  • Calypso Coral layer is a 4" x 6" Sweet Thoughts Memories & More Card.
  • The globe is a 3" x 4" Sweet Thoughts M &M Card cut down to 3" x 3-5/8".
  • The Calypso Coral berries design is 3" x 4" M & M card cut down to 3" x 1-1/4".
  • There is a narrow 1/4" Garden Green checked piece (underneath the flowers) also cut from a M & M card.
  • The row of flowers is a sticker from the M & M card pack.  Added rhinestones to the center of each flower to add some shine and dimension.

Inside I pieced together a strip of the Calypso Coral berries.  I covered the seam with a sticker from the card pack.

Recently someone wrote about a M & M card from the 2024 January-April Mini Catalog.  I scoured that mini and couldn't find anything resembling M & M.  They meant Memories & More and I was thinking the chocolate candy!  You can see where my mind goes to.

Tropical Oasis Aloha Card

How are you doing?  Hope all is well with you.  It is Thursday which means it is time for the Create with Connie & Mary Challenge.  This week it is a sketch challenge.

Due to the Corona virus travel plans have been cancelled, postponed and/or rescheduled.  That got me thinking about where I would go if I were travelling.  High on my list would be to go check in on family in Hawaii.  Thinking about Hawaii led me to the decision to use products from the Tropical Oasis Suite.

I used a few products from the Tropical Oasis Suite to make this card.

This is a quick and simple card which can be used for many occasions or just to send to a friend to let them know you are thinking about them.  Aloha has many meanings it is commonly used to say Hello or Goodbye.  Aloha also means love, peace, and compassion.

Be sure to check out what the other members of the design team created for this challenge.

Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop...Home Decor

SDBH Banner

I am a slow crafter.  Believe me I can take a long time making even the simplest of projects.  I am also a master procrastinator which coupled with being slow well, it is just not a good combination.  I am working on overcoming my issue with procrastination but you know the joke I will get to it sometime later.

This week has been extra busy and I realized  I had just a short time period to make my home decor project for this hop.  What to do?  I found this frame in my stash and decided to make another sampler.  However, I didn't have the time to create little pieces of stamped goodness for each little space.  What to do?!

Night Before Christmas Memories & More Card pack to the rescue!!

The middle row of images and the "Tis the Season" are all Memories & More cards cut down to fit the frame.  I added a few rhinestones, a star, and a little bit of glitter but otherwise they are straight out of the box.

The top right is a card front from the Night Before Christmas Memories & More Cards & envelopes.  I added the Santa's sleigh die which was cut from the Jolly Season dies.  I painted on some Wink of Stella so there is a little shine on the sleigh and reindeers.

On the bottom left, I made a wreath using one of my favorite dies, All Around Wreath dies.  I cut 2 wreaths one in Mossy Meadow and the other in Old Olive and layered them.   The berries were created using Sparkle Glimmer paper with a little Cherry Cobbler ink daubed over it.  The ribbon is the beautiful Cherry Cobbler Diagonal Stripe ribbon.   The star paper is from the Night Before Christmas 6" x 6" DSP.

On the bottom right I cut the words using the Merry Christmas dies in Sparkle Glimmer paper.  The background paper is also from the Night Before Christmas 6" x 6" DSP.

I also sprinkled snowflakes cut from Sparkle Glimmer paper using the Seasonal Layers and the Christmas Layers dies   around the frame.

I am now a believer in the Memories & More card packs.  It was so easy and quick, even for me to put this project together.  I look forward to making a bunch of cards using the rest of the cards and the card & envelope pack but you guessed it, I will get to that later.

Now it is time to  hop on over to see what the talented Carol Payne has created!

Here's a list of all the stops on the hop!

Another Petal Passion Memories & More Card

Here's another card I made using the Petal Passion Memories & More Card pack.

This time I colored the image with Calypso Coral and Old Olive Stampin' Blends and fussy cut the image.  I used the shimmery Calypso Coral ribbon that is a Sale-A-Bration choice.  The Shimmer Ribbon Pack includes ribbons in Basic Gray (1/4" wide),  Bermuda Bay (1/8" wide) and Calypso Coral (3/8" wide).   Each roll has 5 yards and it is free with a $50 purchase.  Be sure to check out  page 9 of the Sale-A-Bration brochure to learn how to make the ribbon curly.

The sentiment is from the Petal Palette stamp set which is also part of the Petal Passion Suite.  I used the Petal Pair embossing folder to create texture and interest.  You can see the other card I made using the Petal Passions Memories & More Card Pack here.

If you need quick, easy and elegant cards or need a project that is great to take with you, think about the Petal Passion Memories & More Card Pack.  All you need is a few markers to color on the go or to write down and preserve your memories.

Petal Passion Memories & More

The Petal Passion Suite in the Occasions Catalog is one of my  favorite suite of products.  I think I purchased every single item in the suite.

This card was made using one of the beautiful 3" x 4" cards in the Petal Passion Memories and More Card Pack.   One of my creative goals for 2018 is to become a better memory keeper and I thought these cards would be a great way to start.  These cards are gorgeous and perfect for memory keeping however, I couldn't resist making some cards from the pack.  You get 2 each of 26 designs in the 3" x 4" size and 2 each of 10 designs in the 4" x 6" size.   Lots of cards for memory keeping, planners, gift tags and greeting cards.    I colored the image using  Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive and Pink Pirouette Stampin' Blends.  The images are already shaded which makes it very easy to color.

I also used one of the Petal Pair Embossing folders.   The one I used is a beautiful border of flowers and leaves.   It is simply gorgeous.   The only stamping I did was to stamp the sentiment from the Ribbon of  Courage stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink.

Product List

The Petal Passion Memories & More Card Pack is very versatile and great for lots of quick and easy crafting.  The cards give you a great starting point and what you make is up to you and your imagination.
