Stampers Dozen Blog Hop...Continuing the Sale-A-Bration

Welcome to the Stampers Dozen Blog Hop!  We are a group of Stampin' Up!® demonstrator who  hop together on the 14th of every month.  This month we are continuing the Sale-A-Bration!  Our projects this month center around the free with qualifying purchase Sale-A-Bration gifts.  There was a second drop of Sale-A-Bration gifts earlier this month, even more reason to Sale-A-Brate!

SpringCorners_PickASeason_Boxes

If you look closely there are a lot of Sale-A-Bration products used on my projects and one (the sentiment) from an Online Exclusive,  Spring Corners.

SpringCorners_PickASeason_BloomBox

This is the Bloom Impressions DSP 12" x 12" (Sale-A-Bration).  The Shy Shamrock label was cut using the Grow With Love Dies.  The tree is from the Pick A Season stamp set with sequins from the Purple Adhesive-Backed Sequins, another Sale-A-Bration choice.  The butterfly is from the Brushed Brass Butterflies.  This is from the 2nd release of Sale-A-Bration and you need to use a different order number than what is shown in the Annual Catalog.  The order number during Sale-A-Bration is- 168091.  The ribbon is the Shy Shamrock 3/8" Bordered Ribbon.

The box is made by cutting 2 envelopes from the Grow With Love dies.  Trim the side tabs to measure 3/4".

GrowWithLove_box

Adhere one set of tabs over the other forming a box.

GrowWithLove_box_side

Close up the bottom.  The flaps will not totally overlap each other.  Apply adhesive to the edge of one flap.

GrowWithLove_Box_bottom

SpringCorners_PickASeason_BoxTic

The same basic ingredient were used to make this box except it was  made with the Fruit Salad  6" x 6" DSP (Sale-A-Bration).   The ribbon is the Daffodil Delight 1/8" Satin Ribbon (2025 Jan-April Mini Catalog).  Found these Fruit Adventure Tic Tacs that coordinate so well with the Fruit Salad DSP and fit nicely in the box.

SpringCorners_PickASeason_Box (1)

The same basic ingredients were used to make this box except it was made using the Toadstool Garden 6" x 6" DSP (Sale-A-Bration).  The ribbon is the Peach Pie Bordered Ribbon.

Thank you for stopping by and now it is time to hop on over to check out the rest of the hop!

Daffodils in a Bag

It is Thursday and time for the Create with Connie & Mary Challenge.  This week it is a color challenge.

CCMC706

This color combination reminded me of the Flowering Fields 12" x 12" DSP.  Now I realize that Evening Evergreen is not listed as one of the colors in the DSP.  I think it was an oversight and that is what I am going with.

Daffodils-together

I cut two 6" x 6" pieces of DSP and created this little tote.  The Evening Evergreen handles were cut using a die in the All Dressed Up dies. The ribbon is the Evening Evergreen Windowpane Checked ribbon.  This is the first time I have used the ribbon and it is lovely.  I would love this ribbon in lots of different colors.  It is crisp, ties beautifully and holds its shape, all good things.  The sentiment is from the Flowering Tulips set and I love the font.

Daffodils-flowersout

Spring is coming!  The daffodils are beginning to pop up here and I thought a few daffodils for this bag would be cute.  In addition I will probably throw in some candy and a tea bag or 2.  This would be so fun to make as  favors for a luncheon.

Daffodils-CCMC

Be sure to check out what the rest of the design team created for the color challenge.

Welcome to the Creativity Abounds Blog Hop.  We are a group of international Stampin' Up! demonstrators who hop together monthly.  The Creativity Abounds Blog Hop goes live the third Wednesday of the month.  We  create monthly tutorial bundles-see below to see how you can receive then and also quarterly virtual stamp camps.  This month we are focusing on gift packaging on both the blog hop and the tutorial bundle.  Enjoy the hop and all the ways you can wrap it up!

StampinUpFrostedGingerbread

Need a cute way to gift some chocolate?  This little box is an Acetate Card Box cut in half.  You can fit 9 Nuggets in it.

  1. Cut the Acetate Box in half.  Fold the tabs and close up on end of the box.
  2. Adhere the 4-3/8" x 2-7/8" DSP to the outside of the box ( back/outside of the box).
  3. Adhere the strip of DSP to the Real Red CS.  The strip will fit between the score lines.
  4. Apply Stampin' Seal + to the Real Red CS (below the 2nd score line on the same side as the strip of DSP.
  5. Insert the Real Red CS into the box and secure.  This will cover up the adhesive showing from step 2).
  6. Tie the ribbon around the flap and make a bow.
  7. Attach the Snowflake to the flap using Stampin' Dimensionals.  Secure the ribbon down with a dimensional.
  8. Wrap the Nuggets with 1" x 3-1/8" strips of DSP.

You can hide a gift card behind the nuggets.  Coffee and chocolates, what a great little gift!

StampinUpFrostedGingerbread-CA-tags

You could also fill the little box up with tags.

StampinUpFrostedGingerbread-CAtags

These tags were made using the Tailor Made Tags, Stitched Rectangle dies, Frosted Gingerbread stamp set, and the Gingerbread & Peppermint DSP.

I know there are many other little treats that would fit in this little package.  Be sure to let me know what you put in your box!

Christmas Season Tag

Time for a new Festive Friday Challenge!  What is the Festive Friday Challenge?  The Festive Friday Challenge is the challenge that has an Inspo List aka Inspiration List that is inspired by a festivity.  This challenge the festivity  is National Cookie Day.  What a fantastic festivity!  I am always up for a good cookie!

FF97

To play along with the challenge you need to pick 3 items from the Inspo List and use them on your project.   You can always use more than 3 items from the list.  Your project doesn't have to be based around the festivity but it can.

ChristmasSeason-FF97

I was surprised to find that I didn't have a cookie image among my stamp sets.  Cookies are among my favorite baked goods and I thought for sure I would have a cookie stamp somewhere.  I found cakes, cupcakes, and even figgy pudding but no cookies.  I chose from the Inspo List circle, brown, ivory, and swirls.

The circle is the piece of wood that is the base of the tag.  The brown is the fabulous acorn made using the Christmas Season stamp set.  It is a 2 step stamp and I used Early Espresso and Soft Suede ink and cut it out using the Seasonal Labels Dies.   The ivory is represented by the Very Vanilla CS that all the images were stamped on.  Finally, the swirls are a little hard to see but they are in the background cut from white glitter paper.  The die is a retired Stampin' Up! die set,  Swirly Scribbles.  I was also going to also list cookies but since these are store bought shortbread cookies and the only thing I did was put them in a plastic sleeve, I decided it might not really count.

ChristmasSeason-FF97-close

Once the cookies are consumed the tag can be used as an ornament.

Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop...3-D Projects

AWOW hop header

Welcome to the Around the World on Wednesday blog hop!  Today on this international blog hop there are 22 stops.  You will hop from New Zealand to Hawaii with lots of stops and time zones in between.  The theme for this month is 3D projects.

TeaBag-AWOW3Dbag

I love a fun bag and so I used the All Dressed Up die and the True Love DSP to create this one.  I will warn you, I generally try and use just one or 2 stamp sets or dies on a project but on today's project I went a little wild and just pulled dies from lots of different sets.  I wanted to up the cute a little so I made some bag charms to dress up my tote.

TeaBag-AWOWcharms

The fun tassel was created by cutting a 1" strip of DSP and then cutting 3/4" or so slits the length of the DSP.  I then rolled it up and glued as I rolled to form the tassel.  The little Magenta Madness butterfly was cut using the  Butterfly Beauty dies and attached it to a little black circle.  The heart was cut using the Snail dies and mounted on the tag from the Hydrangea dies.   I added some Shimmer Crystal Effects to the heart and oh I love the shine, dimension, and the little bit of glitter it adds.

TeaBag-AWOWbag&box

This is  a teabag.  It holds the 3-1/8" x 3-1/8" Acetate Card box filled with color coordinating tea.  Yes, I bought this tea because of the color.  Do you ever do that?  The acetate box holds 4 teabags and fits perfectly in the tote.

TeaBag-AWOWboxflowers

I wrapped a 2-1/4" strip of the DSP around the acetate box.  The white ribbon is from the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo pack.  I do like this ribbon a lot, it ties nice crisp bows.  I added a few flowers that were cut using the Pierced Blooms dies.  I added the Shimmer Crystal Effects to the center of each flower.

I hope you liked my TeaBag!  Now it is time to hop on over to see what the talented Teri West has created for you!

Sweet Strawberry Treat Box

Sweet Strawberry Sunday!  Have you seen the Love You Always Treat Boxes?  They are on page 11 of the 2021 Jan-June Mini Catalog.  They are a matchbox style box and what I love about them is that they do not require any adhesive to put the box together.  The boxes are easy to assemble so you can focus your energy on the other important things like decorating them and what to put in them.

SweetStrawberry-LoveYouAlwaysTreatBox

I used the True Love Designer Series Paper and cut a piece 4" x 9-1/2" to wrap around the box sleeve.  I cut a large circle using the Layering Circles die and used that as my base to attach my strawberries, leaves and flowers to.  The sentiment which is also from the Sweet Strawberry stamp set was stamped on an oval cut from the Layering Ovals dies.

SweetStrawberry-LoeYouAlwaysTreatbox-open

Inside I put some yummy strawberry candies.   This box is a good size and a great one to have in your stash.  It is easy and fun to decorate.

Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop...Tag Team

AWOW hop header

Welcome to the Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop!  We are Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all over the world sharing projects around a common theme.  This month the theme is Tag Team.  No we are not talking about wrestling (that was instantly what I thought of when I heard the theme!)  We are focusing on creating 2 projects that coordinate with each other.  Isn't that sooo much better than 4 sweaty wrestlers in tights?

ASID-AWOW-SeptCard

I haven't used the Harvest Hellos stamp set and coordinating Apple Builder punch in a while.  Living in Washington State apples are a big deal.  Did you know Washington is the nation's top apple producing state?  It only makes sense that it also is the  state fruit.  Just a little trivia for you.  I paired the apple with the Heartwarming Hugs DSP.  The color palette just seemed to work and the designs fit the whole apple theme.  I will let you in on a secret, this pack of paper was not on my radar at all.  I just looked right past it so many times.  It took  a while for me to  see the  versatility of the the Heartwarming Hugs DSP and now I reach for it often.  This pack of paper has some of my favorite designs like polka dots, gingham, and stripes.

ASID-AWOW-SeptCardopen

Both of the sentiments are from the Cute Fruit stamp set.  The Cute Fruit stamp set can be found in the Beginner Brochure.  Aren't the sentiments just a great fit with the Harvest Hellos set?  Here are the measurements of the paper I used.

  • Real Red 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" (card base),  3-1/4" x 4-1/2" (cut using the Stitched So Sweetly die), 1-1/4" x 5" scored at 4" , 3' x 3" (Layering Circle die), 2" x  2-1/2" (apple)
  • Whisper White 3-1/4" x 4-1/2" (Stitched So Sweetly die),  2-3/4" x 2-3/4" (Stitched Shapes die), 3/4" x 2-3/4" (Stitched Rectangle die)
  • Heart Warming Hugs DSP 4" x 5-1/4",  2-5/8" x  3-3/4", 1" x 4"
  • Pear Pizzazz scrap pieces for 6 leaves
  • Soft Suede scrap piece for apple stem

Ready for the tag team project?

ASID-AWOW-SeptTreat

The cute Little Treat Box which is big enough to hold my treat.  Hmm, what could it be?  Let's first talk about what I used to make the treat holder.  Since I am creating a coordinating treat I used another print from the Heartwarming Hugs DSP, the same ribbon used on the card, Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack, the Harvest Hello stamp, and the Apple Builder punch.  The apple was stamped in Mossy Meadow ink on Pear Pizzazz cardstock in fact Mossy Meadow ink is the only ink pad I used for both projects.  The leaves are Mossy Meadow CS and the stem Soft Suede CS.  The sentiment is from the Beauty Abounds stamp set.  The size of the sentiment was just right.

ASID-AWOW-SeptTreatLolly

The last time I went to the store I bought some "prop" candy and this is one of the things I bought.  It was a lucky purchase since it was perfect fit for the Little Treat Box Dies.  Here are the measurements of the paper I used.

  • Heartwarming Hugs DSP 5-3/4" x 7"  (this can be cut using a 6" x 6" piece of DSP)
  • Pear Pizzazz  CS 2" x 2-1/2"
  • Mossy Meadow CS scrap for 2 leaves
  • Soft Suede CS Scrap for the stem

ICS Blog Hop...Petal Pink

ICS header

Welcome to the Inspire, Create, & Share Blog Hop!  This month we are hopping and sharing projects with the theme of It's a Girl Thing, Monochromatic style.

ASID-ICSApriljpeg

I have to tell you that it has been a struggle!  I had the hardest time figuring out what I wanted to make.  This is probably the 3rd or 4th thing I have made and well time is getting short so I am sticking with this one.

I am a fan of Petal Pink.  We haven't always gotten along but it has definitely grown on me and I use it a lot.   This is an easy and fun way to package a treat.

  • 5-3/4" x 9-3/4" piece of Petal Pink CS scored at 2-3/4" x 7"
  • Seal up the back creating a flat open ended packet
  • Use the Ornate Floral 3-D Embossing Folder and emboss a 4" x 5-1/2" piece of Petal Pink Vellum (Perennial Essence Vellum)
  • Create Petal Pink Vellum flowers using the Magnolia Memory dies and the Perennial Flower punch.  Layer the two smaller 3 petal dies, then the Perennial Flower punch, and then the center in Petal Pink CS.  The circle in the middle of the flower is Petal Pink CS heat embossed with a mix of Dazzling Diamonds Glitter and Clear Embossing Powder.
  • Attach the flowers to the embossed piece of Petal Pink Vellum using Stampin' Dimensionals
  • Use glue dots or dots of liquid glue and apply to the back of the vellum where the flowers are.  This will prevent adhesive from showing through when you attach it to the packet.  Now adhere it to the front of the Petal Pink packet.
  • Punch a hole in the center near the top of the packet (punching through the front and the back).  Insert one end of the Petal Pink ribbon through both holes. Place the brownie mix in the packet between the ribbon.  Push the brownie mix down into the packet until it is hidden.  Tie a bow at the top and cut the ribbon
  • Stamp in VersaMark ink the sentiment on Petal Pink CS and sprinkle White Embossing powder.  Emboss using the Heat Tool.  Cut out using the die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.  Attach it to the front using a Stampin' Dimensional.

ASID-ICSApril-up

This would make a great little favor or gift for a friend or co-worker.  Think of all the different kind of treats you could package like this!  Now it is time to check out what the talented Deb Naylor has made for you.

A Gift for a Golfer

My husband is a golfer so the Country Club Suite in the January-June 2020 Mini Catalog was a must have for me.  Everything in the suite is wonderful and perfect to make cards and gifts for him and his golf buddies.

Here's a fun little package using the Clubhouse bundle, Wrapped in Plaid Specialty DSP, and the All Dressed Up dies.

ASID-Golfgiftjpeg copy

I used the Wrapped in Plaid DSP for the box but I could have easily used the Country Club DSP.  The golf ball/tee image from the Clubhouse set was quickly colored using Stampin' Blends and cut out with the coordinating Golf Club dies.  Here's how  I created the tee holder.  Start by cutting a 1/2" strip of Shaded Spruce card stock.  Run a bone folder over the strip to soften the fibers.  Glue down about 1-1/4" of the strip and then make a loop. Put the tee in the loop to make sure it fits and then apply a strip of glue to secure the loop. Repeat the process for the second tee and then glue down the strip and trim to fit the bag.

ASID-Golfbag-injpeg

If you were wondering what is in the All Dressed Up bag, it is a golf glove.  I am not putting on handles on this bag and using it more as a box.  The All Dressed Up dies are very versatile and with a little change of paper can be used for so many different occasions.  Can you tell  I am loving this die?!

All Dressed Up Bag & the Night Before Christmas DSP

I could not resist any longer, I had to make one of the adorable bags using the All Dressed Up dies (available January 3).

ASID-Poppybag-2

I used the Night Before Christmas 6" x 6" DSP for the bag.  This pattern like many of the designs in this pack  work not only for Christmas but year round projects.  I added a big poppy that was made using the Poppy Moments dies (also available January 3).  Wouldn't this be such a fabulous way to package a gift?

ASID-PoppyBag

To my delight I found out that this bag will hold tea bags.  I have 6 tea bags  in this bag.  I am always delighted to find new ways to give the gift of tea.  My head is spinning with all the possibilities!  I do think this die is a must have.

Check back soon I will be sharing a few more samples using the All Dressed Up Dies tomorrow and also later in the week.  Blog signature

On To Adventure & the Create with Connie & Mary Challenge 573

It is Thursday and time for the Create with Connie & Mary Challenge.  This week we have a color challenge.

CCMC573

I have been shining the spotlight in the On to Adventure stamp set and realized I haven't used one stamp yet, so I had to get to work.

AstheInkDries-OnToAdventure-golfgift

What do you think?  Don't you love this little golf guy?  Isn't he so sporty with his Grapefruit Grove pants & Pretty Peacock shirt?  This reminded me of the days when it was very fashionable for men to wear really loud outfits on the golf course.  Memories of my dad in bright yellow pants!  Brings a smile  to my face.  Are you wondering, where is the Sahara Sand?  I used it to color his hair and also  the scalloped circle is Sahara Sand.

We are going on an overnight golf trip.  I thought this would be a fun favor for the men folk in the group.  Now I just have to convince my husband to give up some of his golf balls to finish them.

Be sure to check out what the other members of the design team created "FORE" this color challenge.
