Quick and Easy cards

Bunch of Blossoms

I have spent the past few days stamping and planning a class using the Bunch of Blossoms stamp set and Blossom Builder punch.  I'm pretty excited about this class!  We came up with some really fun cards and some of them are pretty different.  This card did not make it into the class but I still wanted to share it with you.

This is probably my favorite color combination right now, Flirty Flamingo and Peekaboo Peach.  These 2 colors are just so happy and bright and yet not too bright.  I also used Pear Pizzaz and Soft Suede ink.  What I really like about this set is that it contains both beautiful images and great sayings.  It is rare for me to use just one stamp set and when I can I know it is a complete set.

Vertical Greetings

How many times have you wished that you had some greetings that were vertical?  We can manipulate the layout of sayings and omit and add words but it is way too much work to change their orientation.   That's why I was so happy to see  the Vertical Greetings set(page 109) in the new Stampin' Up! catalog.  The set has SIX basic sentiments and a trio of delightful topiaries.

Vertical Greetings 6916

Isn't that little heart adorable?  It is from the new Enamel Shapes.  In the Brights, Regals, and Subtles you get 1 sheet per color and each sheet has 5 hearts, 5 stars, 5 mini circles, and 5 small circles.  I know I will be ordering more.

I also fussy cut around each of the parts of the topiary.  I wanted a little more dimension since the card was going to be a pretty simple one.  It wasn't difficult just well, fussy.

Pretty simple but I think pretty cute card.  I am not stamping any sentiment for right now.  I know I have most occasions covered with either the Party Pants set or the Perfect Pairings set.

Be sure to let me know if you need any help placing an order or signing up to become a member of my stamp ladies team.   Sale-A-Bration is a great time to do both!

Mailable Monday: Hi There, S'Up?

When the heat of summer has gotten to me and my brain feels a little fried, I turn to simple and reliable card templates.

How can you go wrong with the classic color combination of Black, White, Real Red, and Daffodil Delight?

S'Up inside

Use My Stash Sunday and the Fresh Prints pack

I admit it, I love  DSP (Designer Series Paper) aka patterned paper.  I love it so much that I tend to save all  my scraps and have hoarding tendencies when it comes to using it.  With the arrival of the new Stampin' Up! catalog I realize that I have a lot of DSP that I haven't used.  Well, I am going to use it and all the scraps I cannot bear to throw away.   Welcome to Use My Stash Sundays.  I am going to use my DSP stash both new and retired.  Hopefully, I will find fun ways to use my beloved DSP.

This is probably one of my go to card styles.  I sure had fun mixing and matching patterns from the Fresh Prints DSP pack.   The Fresh Prints pack is probably my favorite little paper stack to date.  The colors are so cheery and happy: Coastal Cabana, Real Red, Crumb Cake and White.

SS Sunday Scraps

The "hi" is from the Regarding Dahlias stamp set.  I used the Blossom punch and the 1-1/4" and 1-3/8" circle punches.  Very simple and quick to make.

You probably don't even need the measurements but here they are in case you are interested.  All of the DSP was attached to a Whisper White card base 4-1/4" x 11".

SS freshprints empire

Here's one more combination I made.  I will probably make a few more while I have everything out.

SS 6-1-14

The Fresh Prints DSP stack will be available for a few more days.  Remember the Stampin' Up! ordering system will be down from midnight (June 2) until about noon on June 2.  They are getting ready for the new catalog.  I will be ready and waiting to order tomorrow!

Three 5 Minute Cards

Yes, you read that right.  I made 3 super quick and easy cards.  It will take me much longer to tell you about them then it did to make them.  I have to confess I had a secret weapon,  the Watercolor Wonder Designer Note Cards & Envelopes .   Where do you find my secret weapon?  It is located on page 32 of the Occasions Catalog.

Three 5 minute cards

The note card bases are made from watercolor paper so it has a little texture and a nice weight.   The desings are already printed on the card so all I had to do was stamp a few sentiments and add a few embellishments.

5 minute card butterflyIsn't the rainbow zig zag cute and cheery?   The sentiment is from A Dozen Thoughts.

5 minute washi card

Here I used the Epic Day washi tape and a silver hi cut from the Label Thinlits die.  Love the subtle little dots printed on the note card.

5 minute Fabulous card

This note card is probably my favorite.  The roses and dots are printed on the note card and are just beautiful.  The note card even come with envelopes.  This is such a great deal 20 note cards and envelopes for $12.95!

Endless Wishes, a Photopolymer set

Let me start off by apologizing that I am using the Endless Wishes stamp set which is temporarily unavailable.  This is a photpolymer set which means it is totally clear and it sold out in 2 weeks of being released by Stampin' Up!   Stampin' Up decided to turn the ordering number off instead of creating a backorder situation and is working on getting more stamp sets made.

Endless Wishes embossed

Endless Wishes embossed side

It is hard to see in the picture  but I mixed some Dazzling Diamonds glitter with  the White embossing powder so the snowflakes have little bit of sparkle.

You can  make this card using other snowflake sets like Festive Flurry or even the newest in the Best of 25 Years series...Snow!

Magnificent Maple Quick and Easy

I am once again playing catch up!  When you are pressed for time here's a quick and easy card to the rescue!

Magnificent Maple olc

Stamps: Magnificent Maple, Background Basics, Simply Sketched
Ink: Early Espresso,  Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Baked Brown Sugar
Paper: Very Vanilla, Early Espresso
Punch:  2-1/2" Circle Punch

Magnificent Maple olc side

I punched out a 2'1/2" circle on a piece of scrap paper and used it as a stencil to stamp the Background Basics script stamp into a circular shape.    I then stamped the Magnnificent Maple stamp and colored it in with different fallish colors using a cotton swab.

Stippled Blossom OLC

Same idea using the Stippled Blossom set and Calypso Coral and Pistachio Pudding ink.  Simple cards for when you need to stamp and scoot!  That is what I need to do today so remember you can order the products you see on my blog though my online store.

Tag a Bag Gift Boxes

I am waiting patiently (okay not really that patiently) for my order from the new Stampin' Up catalog to arrive.  Thankfully it looks like tomorrow I can expect a package from my favorite brown truck.  In the meantime I have been playing with the Tag a Bag Gift Boxes and the Tag a Bag Accessory kit.

Smoky slate &daffodil delight tag

There are 8 boxes and they are big and come with an acetate sleeve and are food safe. The Tag a Bag Accessory kit comes with 10 large tags, 10 medium tags, 10 mini clothespins, 3 colors of twine (Crushed Curry, Tangerine Tango, Bermuda Bay), 5 Smoky Slate self adhesive strips and even Stampin Dimensionals.  You can buy the boxes (130927) and the accessory kit(130153) seperately or bundle (131372) them up for a 15% savings.  These would be great to have on hand to cute up any gift!

The new Artisan Label punch is so easy to layer .  Just punch out a label out of the color you want to use as the laye and cut it in half and then attach the pieces to the top and the bottom.

Daffodil del polka dot bow

I just love these little bows from page 152 of the new catalog and you will definitely be seeing more of them from me.   I am liking the Daffodil Delight and Smoky Slate combination.  It is going to be fun figuring out new and different color combinations.
