Nature's Harvest

Here's a quick and easy card for Simple Sunday.  The Nature's Harvest stamp set is so versatile.  I was happy to see it return in the 2022-23 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog and it is  available to purchase as a bundle.

NaturesHarvest-Happiness

  • The beautiful flowers were stamped using Early Espresso ink on a Very Vanilla Stitched Rectangle measuring 2-5/8" x  4".
  • The flowers were colored using the Daffodil Delight, Cajun Craze, and Old Olive Stampin' Blends.
  • Wink of Stella was brushed over the petals to add a little bit of shine.
  • A Water Painter was used to splatter Early Espresso ink on the background.
  • A little blending was done using Blending Brushes and Early Espresso ink.
  • Linen thread was wrapped around the Very Vanilla rectangle twice and then finished with a bow.
  • The sentiment is from the Potted Geraniums stamp set stamped in Early Espresso ink on a label cut using the Harvest dies.

Sweet Simple Sunday

Hope you are having a wonderful Sunday.  Just checking in with a sweet and simple card using the Measure of Love stamp set.    This was one of the sets I just plain wanted.   I think it was those cherries and their little stems or maybe the bowl with the hearts.  I cannot really explain it, I just wanted it.

MeasureofLove-PatternParty

I paired it with the happiest pack of paper, Pattern Party (only available as part of the Stampin' Rewards program).  I  think these two were made for each other.  I stamped on Basic White CS die cut using the Stitched Rectangles dies.  I was surprised how easy it was to line things up, even the stems on the cherries!   I used Poppy Parade, Granny Apple Green, Crushed Curry, and Pool Party for the colors,  all of which are in the Pattern Party DSP.

MeasureofLove-PatternParty-side

The "sweet" sentiment is from the Sweet as a Peach stamp set.   The cute Poppy Parade flower was cut using the Pierced Blooms dies.   The center of the flower is from the Playing with Patterns Resin Dots.

Do you see it?  The inside of the card?  Doesn't it look like a punched out circle of the Pattern Party DSP?   It isn't, this was stamped using two stamps from the Measure of Love set. This is the another reason I think the Pattern Party DSP and the Measure of Love stamp set were made for each other.

MeasureofLove-PatternParty-flowers

So cute , right?  This was such a fun discovery.  It took me a couple of tries to figure out how these two stamps went together.  How did I finally get it right?  I looked at the DSP and there was the answer, after that it was easy.  I found it was easier to stamp the centers and leaves (Granny Apple Green) first and then the flowers (Poppy Parade).

Simple Sunday-Dandy Garden Laser-Cut Paper

Need some quick cards? Today's cards are easy to make and I think they are pretty too!

DandyLaserCut-all

Here's what you will need:

  • Basic Black Cardstock
  • Rainbow Glimmer Paper
  • Dandy Laser-Cut Paper
  • Multipurpose Liquid Glue
  • optional but nice Basic White CS

DandyLaserCut-dragonfly

DandyLaserCut-leaves

These 2 cards are basically the same except they use different frames from the Dandy Laser-Cut Paper. The sparkle colors are different  since they are cut from different sections of the Rainbow Glimmer paper.

  • Basic Black CS 4-1/4" x 11" scored at 5-1/2"
  • Rainbow Glimmer Paper 3-1/3" x 5"
  • Dandy Laser-Cut Paper
  • Basic White CS 4" x 5-1/4". I like to line the inside of my card whenever the card base is a dark color.
  • Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Apply a thin line of glue along the edge of the frame and also in different places on the design.  Layer it on the Glimmer paper.  I put something heavy on the frame for a few minutes just to help the glue adhere.  Attach the Glimmer paper to the card base using the liquid glue or your adhesive of choice.  Attach the Basic White CS ti the inside of the card.

DandyLaserCut-flower

This card uses one of the frames and some of the other pieces in the Dandy Laser-Cut Paper.  The only paper difference is the Rainbow Glimmer Paper is cut at 2-5/8" x 4-1/8".

DandyLaserCut-all

You can certainly dress these cards up a bit more with some ribbon or twine and also by adding a sentiment label.  I decided to keep them clean, simple and sparkly.

Thank you for stopping by!

Simple Sunday...Berry Blessings

Confession time...I have had the Berry Blessings stamp set and the Berry Delightful DSP (Sale-A-Bration ) choice for a few weeks.  When I first got it I quickly started stamping with the Berry Blessings set.  What a great set that coordinates so beautifully with the Sweet Strawberry set.  I however did not want to cut into the Berry Delightful DSP.  Yes, the hoarding tendencies still run strong.  Now that there is only 3 weeks left of Sale-A-Bration I know I need to use and enjoy it.

BerryBlessings-Feb7

A quick and easy card for my first cut into the Berry Delightful DSP.  Love the blueberry stamp!  I can see  cute tags made with this stamp for blueberry baked treats like muffins.  Yum!

I added a little Wink of Stella on the blueberries to give them a little shine.  The rhinestones were colored Granny Apple Green using the coordinating Granny Apple Green Dark Stampin' Blends.  The white twine is from the Snail Mail Twine Combo pack.

BerryBlessings-Feb7-open

The sentiment on the inside is from the Sweet Strawberry set.  The same font is used in both sets which makes the coordination effortless.  The Berry Delightful DSP also has strawberries on it making it an even sweeter coordination with the Sweet Strawberry stamp set.

Stay tuned for more samples using the Berry Blessing Stamp set and the Berry Delightful DSP Sale-A-Bration bundle.  You have just a few more weeks to choose this bundle for free during Sale-A-Bration.

Simple Sunday...Blossoms in Bloom

What kind of cards do you use the most?  Lately, it seems I have been sending a lot of just checking in, thinking about you cards.  The Many Layered Blossoms die part of the Blossoms in Bloom bundle is a great one to use to make quick pretty cards.  The die is large so all you really need is a sentiment and your card is done.

ASID-BlossomsinBloom-RealRed

I kept the color palette simple using just Whisper White CS and Real Red CS.  Real Red card stock was used to cut out the bolder die and Whisper White for the outline die.  If you back the Whisper White CS with a piece of Adhesive Sheet it will make assembly very easy.  The assembled flower was layered on Whisper White CS cut using a Stitched Rectangle die.  The sentiment is from the Butterfly Gala stamp set.  The sentiment was stamped using Versamark ink and heat embossed in  White embossing powder.  Rhinestones were placed in the centers of all the flowers to add a little sparkle to the card.

ASID-BlossomsinBloom-Black

On this second version the sentiment was stamped and embossed on Basic Black cardstock.  Which version do you like best?

Thank you for stopping by and if I can help you with your paper crafting needs please let me know!

Simple Sunday Celebration Tidings

Today's Simple Sunday Share coordinates with last Sunday's post.  I made a quick and easy tea bag holder  using the Celebration Tidings bundle.

ASID-CelebrationTidings-gratefultea

I stamped the cute pumpkins and sentiment in Early Espresso ink and colored the image using Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, and Cinnamon Cider Stampin' Blends.  The Very Vanilla cardstock was cut using the #2 label (#1 being the smallest label) cut in half.

ASID-CelebrationTidings-teaing

The flap is the #3 Celebration Labels cut from a 2-3/4" piece of Old Olive cardstock.  The label is scored at the midpoint and cut 1/2" in on  both sides so it will fit into the holder.  The holder is In Good Taste DSP  3-1/4" x 6" scored at 2-3/4", 5-1/2".  Punch a half circle to the front top of the holder, to make it easier to remove the tea.  Seal the sides and the bottom of the holder and attach the flap to the inside of the back of the holder.

ASID-CelebrationTidings-teaopen

The Early Espresso ribbon helps to secure the flap down and can be moved down to open the packet.

ASID-CelebrationTidings-gratefulboth

Here's both projects, the card and the tea bag holder.  Cute and quick projects using the Celebration Tidings Bundle.

Simple Sunday-Trimming the Town DSP

The Trimming the Town DSP is so cute!  Love the houses and some of them can be cut out using the Home Together dies.  Here's a quick and easy card to make.

ASID-TrimmingtheTown

  • Crumb Cake card base- 4-1/4" x 11" scored at 5-1/2"
  • Real Red CS - 2-3/4" x 4"  die cut using the Stitched So Sweetly dies
  • Whisper White CS- 4" x 5-1/4" (inside of the card) &  2-1/8" x  3-1/4"
  • Trimming the Town DSP

Cut out a Real Red  scalloped rectangle (2-1/2" x 3-5/8") using the Stitched So Sweetly  dies

Sponge a Pool Party cloud background on the 2-1/8" x 3-1/4" Whisper White CS and adhere it to the Real Red scalloped rectangle

(I couldn't find my cloud stencil so I made one out of a scrap piece of CS)

ASID-TrimmingtheTown-cloud

Cut out 2 houses from the Trimming the Town DSP using the Home Together dies.  Adhere one of the houses to the Real Red scalloped rectangle and one to the 4" x 5-1/4" Whisper White CS.

Attach 3 Real Red hearts using Stampin' Dimensionals.  **(I used the Stitched Be Mine dies-multiple hearts die to cut my hearts.  It cuts out a lot of hearts so I keep the extras in a little container, ready to be used on a project.)

ASID-hearts

Stamp in Tuxedo Black Memento ink the sentiment from the Fireside Trimmings set.

Adhere the 4" x 5-1/4" Whisper White CS to the inside of the card

All the Good Things for Simple Sunday

Taking a little break from Christmas projects to share a quick and easy card.  I finally got  the All the Good Things stamp set in the Stampin' Up! Annual catalog.  The koi remind me of my father.  At one time we had a koi pond in our backyard  that was filled with beautiful fish.

AstheInkDries-AlltheGoodThings (1)

The images in this stamp set are Distinktive style stamps.  They are made in a special way so that there is a lot of shading and detail created with just one stamp.  Yes, the koi images were made with just one stamp.  This sure makes for an easy card.

I think this card should have taken me 10-15 minutes to complete but it seems I can make anything more difficult than it needs to be.  Ready for a little peek behind the blog?

AstheInkDries-AlltheGoodThings-oops

Ooops!  I guess I wasn't paying close enough attention to where I was gluing the stamped panel.  So my quick and easy card took a little longer since I had to carefully peel it off and attach it the right way.    Please tell me I am not the only one who has done this!
