Stampers Dozen Blog Hop...Spring Has Sprung

Banner

Welcome to the Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop!  We are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators who gather together on the 14th of the month to do this blog hop.  This month our theme is Spring Has Sprung!

LayersofBeauty_UnboundedLove

This is also a sneak peek of the Layers of Beauty stamp set in the upcoming 2024-25 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog.   This new bundle has a gorgeous stamp set, coordinating dies, and decorative masks.  So many possibilities for using different coloring techniques.

In addition to using the new bundle I couldn't resist using a couple of the new 2024-26 In Colors-Shy Shamrock and Pretty in Pink.  I have been hoping for a soft pink and Pretty in Pink is the perfect answer and it looks fabuous with Shy Shamrock.

  • Card base is Thick Basic White CS 4-1/4" x 11"
  • Shaded Spruce CS layer 4" x 5-1/4"
  • Pretty in Pink CS layer 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" embossed using the 3D Basic Embossing Folder-I didn't realize that this embossing folder is no longer available.  It was an Online Exclusive and it became unavailable in the last couple of days.
  • The large swag of flowers were stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored using Daffodil Delight, Shaded Spruce, Shy Shamrock, Petal Pink, Pretty in Pink, and Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends.
  • The little Basic White tag was cut using the Layers of Beauty dies, stamped with a sentiment from Unbounded Love (another new stamp set debuting in the 2024-25 Annual Catalog).  I had planned to use the "Grateful for You" sentiment from the Layers of Beauty set but I have lost it!  My desk is such a mess.  I am going to clean it up as soon as I am done writing this post and search for the sentiment-wish me luck in finding it.
  • The Shy Shamrock ribbon is 3/8" Bordered Ribbon tied with white Baker's Twine.
  • The pretty gems are Shy Shamrock from the 2024-26 In Color Shimmer Gems.

Inside a little strip of embossed Pretty in Pink CS (I am going to miss this Embossing Folder) and another image from the Layers of Beauty stamp set.

Painted Poppies Tag card

How are you?  Hope you are doing well!   I have a quick and simple card for you today.

ASID-PaintedPoppies-B&W

Here's the scoop on this card.

  • Card base-4-1/4" x 11"  Thick Whisper White, scored at 5-1/2"
  • Black & White Stripe DSP-2" x 4-1/4"  (You can find the stripe in the Golden Honey Specialty DSP (SAB unfortunately sold out) and in the Botanical Prints Product Medley)
  • Black CS strip-1/2" x 4-1/4"
  • Tag 2-1/8" x 3-3/4" Whisper White.  I used the Bonanza die (currently not orderable but hopefully it will be orderable soon)
  • Poppy image from the Painted Poppies stamp set colored with the Real Red and Old Olive Stampin' Blends
  • Red Rhinestones
  • Thanks from the Ornate Thanks stamp set (early release April 1)

ASID-PaintedPoppies-B&Wside

This is a simple layout that helps you use those little strips of DSP that you just cannot throw away and also strips of cardstock.  Tell me that I am not the only person who has trouble throwing out strips of cardstock.  This also is a great card template if you do not have a lot of supplies.

Sneak Peek: SAB Happy Birthday to You

Less than a week to go until the start of  Sale-A-Bration 2020 and the debut of the January-June 2020 Mini catalog!  Today is another combo project, a little SAB and a little from the Mini.

ASID-SABHappyBirthday-blushing

These 2 stamp sets are SO pretty and I think they were meant for each other.  The Breathtaking Bouquet stamp makes a quick background that is beautiful all by itself and yet works perfectly as the backdrop for the cake.

ASID-SABHappyBirthday-blushingside

The cake was colored using the Flirty Flamingo, Old Olive, Mango Melody (dark), So Saffron (light), and Smoky Slate (light) Stampin' Blends.  I sure do enjoy using Stampin' Blends!   The hardest thing I did, which wasn't very hard at all, is I fussy cut the top flower but I won't deny having a die to do it would be even easier.  The effort is worth it since I love the look of the flower extending beyond the circle.

Hope you enjoyed this sneak peek!

Sneak Peek:Happy Birthday to You Easel

Taking a little break from the All Dressed Up dies and back to another favorite from the 2020 Sale-A-Bration brochure, Happy Birthday to You.

ASID-SABHappyBirthday-easel

This cake image is a fun one to color. It isn't too detailed and there is enough space to do some shading.  I used the Purple Posy and Highland Heather blends to color in the flower with a Dark Daffodil Delight Blend for the centers.  The cake was colored using a Light So Saffron Blend and a Light Smoky Slate for the cake plate. The scalloped stitched rectangle was cut using one of the dies from the Stitched So Sweetly dies.  The dies can be found on page 20 of the January-June 2020 Mini Catalog.  (Need a copy?  Contact me and I will send it out to you).

ASID-SABHappyBirthday-easelside

The Highland Heather Gingham (love!) is from the 6" x 6" Subtles Designer Series Paper.  The sweet little ribbon is actually from last years Sale-A-Bration.  It was the perfect little additions to the card.

ASID-SABHappyBirthday-easelopenjpeg

This is an easel card!  I stamped, cut and colored a little flower from the cake image to act as the stopper for the card panel.  The sentiments are from the Timeless Tulip stamp set.

There are so many wonderful products in the 2020 January-June Mini Catalog and Sale-A-Bration brochure.  It is going to be a fabulous Sale-A-Bration!

Tropical Oasis Bag

Today I am continuing my obsession with the All Dressed Up die and combining it with a tropical vibe.

ASID-TropicalBag

Let me introduce you to the Tropical Oasis Suite. One of the products in the suite is the Coastal Weave 3-D Embossing Folder.  This folder reminds me of Hawaii and lauhala weaving.  I knew it would create the perfect texture for my tote bag.  I stamped 3 plumerias which are part of the Timeless Tropical stamp set in Crumb Cake ink.  I did a little coloring using So Saffron and Flirty Flamingo Blends.  The flowers and leaves are easily cut out using the In the Tropic dies.  I squealed just a bit when I saw that the die for the leaf both cut them out and embossed them.  Just a little something extra I wasn't expecting.

ASID-TropicalBagIn

Wouldn't this be a fun gift to give someone traveling to a tropical location?  I thought a little sunscreen, lotion or any travel sized treat would be so appreciated.  This would also be a fun favor for your next luau or any summer time party.

If you need more ideas on how to use the All Dressed up bag die, you can check  here  and  here.  It is a most versatile little bag and I haven't even shown you all the other fabulous dies that are in the set!

Sneak Peek: Happy Birthday to You and the Breathtaking Bouquet

Ready for more sneak peeks?  At the Stampin' Up!®  OnStage event I was so lucky to be gifted the Breathtaking Bouquet stamp set in the January-June 2020 Mini Catalog.  This is a gorgeous background stamp full of beautiful details.  I wanted to make some samples for the person who gifted it to me and this is one of the first things I made with it.

ASID-BreathtakingBouquet-SoSaffron

I paired the Breathtaking Bouquet stamp with the Happy Birthday to You stamp set in the 2020 Sale-A-Bration catalog.   I love how these two stamp sets look so good together.

  • Breathtaking Bouquet stamped in So Saffron on a 4" x 5-1/4" Whisper White
  • Sentiment and cake from the Happy Birthday to You stamp set in the 2020 Sale-A-Bration catalog
  • So Saffron, Petal Pink, Highland Heather, Old Olive, and Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends were used to color on the cake image

ASID-BreathtakingBouquet-SoSaffron2

I fussy cut the flower at the top of the cake.  I love how it looks popped up with a Stampin' Dimensional.  It really makes the image stand out.

I think these 2 stamp sets were made for each other!

What's New at SU!...Sneak Peek

What's new hop

Welcome to the What's New at SU! blog hop.  I am happy that you are joining us. We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrator from around the world.. Today we will be offering a sneak peek  from the upcoming January -June 2020 Mini catalog and the 2020 Sale-A-Bration catalog. . I know you will find a lot of wonderful ideas shared today

ASID-ForeverBlossoms-flirty

So many new products were used to make this card.  Let's start with the gorgeous texture on the card front.  This was created using the Parisian Flourish 3-D Embossing folder.  It is truly a beautiful embossing folder.  I know this folder will be used a lot by me.  The large spray of flowers is from the Forever Blossoms stamp set and cut using the Cherry Blossom dies.  These two items can be purchased as a bundle which will save you 10%.  The flowers and leaves were colored using the Flirty Flamingo and Old Olive Stampin' Blends.

ASID-ForeverBlossoms-Flirtyside

The sentiment is from the Peaceful Moments stamp set.  I was looking for a sentiment that was about 3/4" high so I could do the "hinge step" technique using the Stamparatus.  Basically the hinge step technique is when you move the Stamparatus plate down one hinge at a time.  This is how I got the sentiments perfectly lined up and stamped.  The beautiful scalloped and stitched rectangle is from a new set of dies called Stitched So Sweetly.  The dies can be purchased on their own or in a bundle with a sentiment set called So Sentimental.

Now it is time for you to see what  Loni Spendlove has created for you.

Sneak Peek: Timeless Tulips

Last month at the Stampin' Up!® OnStage event we did make & takes.  This is one of the make and takes, with a few tweeks. Why did I have to tweek it?   Well, I may have had to do some creative positioning of the tulips to hide some unfortunate smudges.

ASID-TimelessTulips

I may have added some sequins from the Iridescent Sequin Assortment for more cover up.  I may have had to change the location of the sentiment and the leaves.  Despite some maneuvering on my part it is pretty close to what Stampin' Up!® prepared for us to make.

ASID-TimelessTulips-side

The Timeless Tulips bundle includes a punch that punches out the large tulip and one of the leaves.  This is a photopolymer stamp set and there are 15 (!) stamps in this set.  There are some great sentiments in the set and the font is lovely.   This bundle will be available on January 3, when the 2020 January-June catalog is released.

Sneak Peek: Timeless Tropical for #CCMC 591

Time for the Create with Connie & Mary Challenge.  This week it is a color challenge.

CCMC591

I am still playing with new products that will become available in January.   It is safe to say I am loving the products in the new Mini catalog and in the 2020 Sale-A-Bration catalog.   For this challenge I decided to use the Timeless Tropical bundle.

ASID-CCMC591

I was born and raised in Hawaii so the Tropical Oasis Suite just spoke to me and  I knew it would be mine!  Now I know that palm trees do not have Night of Navy trunks but sometimes you just have to go with it and make it work.  I love the "aloha" die which is part of the In the Tropics dies.  I cut it out of the Pretty Peacock foil sheet found in the Noble Peacock Foil Sheets.

ASID-CCMC591side

Do you see the Mossy Meadow die cut designs?  They are from the Lily Pad Dies in the Sale-A-Bration brochure.  They are gorgeous and love how they look on the card.  I accented them with the Night of Navy enamel dots found in the Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots.

Thank you for stopping by.  Be sure to check out what the other members of the design team created using this color combination.

Sneak Peek-Peaceful Moments Bundle & Golden Honey DSP

I could no longer resist and I had to take a break from my Christmas crafting to play with some new products.

ASID-PeacefulMoments-BWstripe

Let me introduce the Peaceful Moments bundle.  The Peaceful Moments stamp set is a 10 piece sentiment set which can be purchased as a bundle (save 10%) with the Poppy Moments dies.  I seriously swooned when I saw these dies.  There are 15 dies in this set and they make the most beautiful flowers and look at those leaves!  I love the option of making solid color leaves or two toned leaves. I used Grapefruit Grove and Calypso Coral for the flowers and Old Olive and Mossy Meadow for the leaves.

Are you wondering where that adorable stitched label is from?  It is a new set of dies called Stitched So Sweetly. I used the Happy Birthday from the Peaceful Moments set.  Don't you love how the sentiment uses 2 fonts?  Looks so fresh and modern.

ASID-PeacefulMoments-B&Wstripein

The inside sentiment is also from the Peaceful Moments stamp set.  The full sentiment reads, "Wishing you every happiness this special day will bring".  I chose to omit the last part of the sentiment for this card.

ASID-PeacefulMoments-B&Wstripeside

Let's talk about that gorgeous Black & White stripe DSP!  You might have heard a shout of joy when I first saw it.  I love a striped  background and black and white is my fave.  This lovely is from a Sale-A-Bration free item called Golden Honey Specialty DSP.  What do I mean a Sale-A-Bration  free item?Starting  January 3, when you purchase $50 of Stampin' Up! product you will be able to choose a free gift, and this pack of paper is one of them!  The only problem is that the flip side of this black & white stripe is an adorable bee pattern with gold foil accents.  The torment of having to make a choice!

I am preparing to do a catalog mailing of the January-June Mini and the Sale-A-Bration catalogs.  If you have ordered with me in the past 6 months you will receive a catalog.  If you haven't ordered from me recently but would like the catalogs (and are not already working with a demonstrator) please email me or leave me a comment.

Remember tomorrow, December 11, 2019 Stampin' Up! is offering FREE SHIPPING on orders $50 (in merchandise) or more.  If you use the Host Code: 4GWASV6U and your order is $50 or more I will send you a gift of the  Noble Peacock Rhinestones.  This gift will arrive around the 2nd week of January.

Happy Shopping!

Pumpkin Halloween Wreath

This week it is officially Sneak Peek time here at  As the Ink Dries!  On September 4th the Stampin' Up!® Holiday catalog will be making its official debut!  Based on the amount I have pre-ordered (yes, SU! demonstrators get to order early!!) and the list of what I still want to order,  I can safely say this catalog is FULL of fabulous products.

One thing that I have been trying to do more of is to find different ways to use the products I buy.  For example, instead of a snow globe, how about a tropical globe or a Halloween globe?  With that in mind, here's a Halloween wreath!

AstheInkDries-HalloweenWreathjpeg

I used the All-Around Wreath dies and added the pumpkins cut from the Trio of Tags die.  The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Greetings and is stamped on a banner die from the Smooth Sailing dies.  I really like the Monster Bash DSP.  Love the designs in this pack of paper and the colors.

AstheInkdries-HalloweenWreath-insidejpeg

Here's the inside of the card.  I like to dress up the inside of the card too!  Here we have a strip of the Monster Bash DSP and one of the tags and stamps from the Tags Tags Tags bundle.

AstheInkdries-HalloweenWreath-sidejpeg

Product List

I couldn't make just one Halloween wreath so here's another using almost all of the same ingredients.

AstheInkDries-HalloweenWreath2

The Crushed Curry patterned paper is another design in the Monster Bash DSP pack.  There is also a pattern that is just all these fun scary-cute bottles.  I had to fussy cut these little bottles, fortunately they are not very detailed and easy to cut out.

AstheInkdries-HalloweenWreath2-close

I hadn't noticed what was written on the bottles until I was trying to decide which bottles to cut out for the wreath.  Do you see it?  Isn't it clever?  This is perfect for all the paper crafters in your life.

AstheInkDries-HalloweenWreath2-inside

Hope you liked this little sneak peek featuring the Monster Bash DSP and the Tags Tags Tags bundle.  If you do not have a copy of the 2019 Stampin' Up!  Holiday catalog and are not currently working with another demonstrator, contact me and I would be happy to send you a catalog.
