I have not used my Flower Patch stamp set in a few weeks (gasp!)and so it was time to ink it up again.  At the SU Convention, one of the make and take projects used the Gift Card Enclosure (136662) to make a holder for the 3-1/2" x 5" note cards.  I love this idea.  It is a simple and easy modification and then you can move on to the fun part of stamping and embellishing the holder and cards.  

The Gift Card Enclosures comes with score lines.   To modify it to make the note card holder, add an additional score line to 3 sides as shown above.  I made my score at 1/4".  I can fit 2 embellished note cards and envelopes in my holder.  You could score at 1/2" on  three sides  to make a holder that is able to hold more cards.

Pretty easy right?    Now for the fun part!  Stamping and embellishing!

I love the burlap ribbon and the lace doily together.  The lace doily is a perfect fit for this holder.

I have had requests to share the meaurements for this fun fold card I featured on Friday.

Here are the measurments:
    Card base- 5" x 10-1/2"  Score at 1-1/4".  2-1/2",  4-1/4",6", 8-1/4".

    Starting at the first line you scored (1-1/4") fold it in a mountain fold.  The next score line is a valley fold.  

Hints: When you are ready to assemble your card be sure that the height does not exceed 4-1/4 high and 5-1/2" wide.  Stamp your sentiment before you try and place your flowers.  I think it is easiest to start at the back and work your way forward.

Isn't is such a fun card?  It is a little time consuming to stamp and assemble all the flowers but I think it is worth it.  Here's another view.

The past few days have been a whirlwind of stamping.  I realized over the weekend that the card swaps I signed up for all needed to be in the mail by Tuesday.  EEEK!   All together I made 46 cards(3 different designs)  and for me that is a lot of stamping.  I did not keep a copy of any of the cards I made which was not too smart but that would have meant 3 more cards. I am happy to report that they are all in the mail and should  arrive on time.  

Here's a card we made at my stamp club.  Can I say again I love this stamp set and this sentiment will be used a lot!
