Stamp Set Flowering Flourishes

It's Clear to Me

Clear Card

Now, you can clearly understand the title of  this post.    I used Window Sheets as the card base for this card.   The card base measures 4" x8".  You can get 4 card bases out of 1 Window sheet.  Classic ink will not dry on the Window sheet so I used White Stazon ink to stamp the image from the Flowering Flourishes set.

The flowers are stamped on the Watercolor Wonder Designer Series paper and punched out using the Pansy punch.

Here's the list of the supplies used to make this card.  You can click on the links for more information about the products and order them online.

Flowering Flourishes

I had big plans to showcase lots of Sale-A-Bration samples this week since Sale-A-Bration is ending tomorrow ( Friday the 22nd) but it just was not meant to be.  My allergies have been crazy this week and I have not felt very creative.  I spent a frustrating couple of hours in my craft room which is usually my happy room, before giving up.   Lots of starts and fails and nothing looked right.  Here is the only card I completed, even this simple card was a struggle.

I am still not sure about it but since it was the sole survivor I decided I would share it with you.

The card base is 4-1/4" x 8-1/2" and the panel extends above the base about 1-1/4".

Hope to stamp with you soon!

ps: I would never send you an email with just a link in it so if you get one just delete it.  I am way too chatty to send just a link so you know someone else is up to no good.

Mailable Monday on a Friday

You know I love a bumpy and lumpy card but once in a while it is such a good feeling to be able to put just one stamp on a card and send it on its way.  Yes, it really is the little things.  Today's card is one that fits that description.  It all started when I got an email from Sherry asking me about this card.  I wrote her back with some measurements and thanked her for stopping by my blog.  Something bothered me about what I sent her so this morning I decided to make the card using the information I emailed and you know what?  I gave her bad information!!  I have since emailed her the correct information but I feel badly.

Here's what you need to know:

1.  Cut a  5-1/2" x 8-1/2" card base out of Whisper White cs.
2. Cut a Basic Black cs  layer  4" x 5-1/4"
3. Cut a Whisper White cs layer 3-3/4" x 4-3/4" .
4. Randomly stamp the Flowering Flourishes stamp in  Black ink.
5. Cut this piece into 1-3/16"inch strips ( 1-3/16" x 4 = 4-3/4") I know 1-3/16" is a crazy measurement!  Just cut between  1-1/8" and 1-1/4"
6. Keep the strips in the order you cut themwhich will make re-assembly easier.
7.  Layer the strips on the Basic Black piece of cs leaving a strip of black showing between each strip.

Flowering Flourishes in Triple Time

I know the Triple Time card is all over the blogsphere so here is my take on the card.  I made this card for my class and it is always is so surprising to learn how easy it is to make.

Stamps: Flowering Flourishes and Curly Cute
Ink: Basic Black
Paper: Basic Black, White, Cherry Cobbler
Punches: Itty Bitty Shapes punch pack
Extras: Rhinestones

It really is a quick and easy card that delivers a lot of impact and you know I love a black and white card!  This is going to be a really short post cause it is not rainng , at least not right this minute.  This is just a momentary sun break between the showers so I need to get outside before it is gone.   Tomorrow I will make it up to you with a long post with lots of pictures!

It is Useless to Resist...Window Frames Framelits

It seems like whenver a new catalog or mini comes out I am so strong, logical and very careful about what I order.  Well, at least for the first order.  You know at first I am that person who says I am not getting that because it is too similar,  too limited in use,  too whatever.   Fast forward a few weeks and yup, I have totally caved.  I do think that now I have ordered almost everything that was on my I "want it" list from the Holiday Catalog.  Wait, I do reserve the right to change my mind  cause you know there are still a few things that I don't have.

First up are the Window Frames Framelits.  I cannot even really explain why I resisted.  Here's the first thing I made with the Window Frames Framelits.

Flowering Flourishes Window frames

I guess I will confess that it is also useless to resist the Flowering Flourishes stamp set as well as the Window Frames Framelits.   The card measures 4-1/4" x 5" so it will still fit in the standard A-2 envelope.   This is a quick card and a fun change from the standard card.

Stamps: Flowering Flourishes, Tiny Tags
Ink: Midnight Muse, Raspberry Ripple
Paper: Midnight Muse, Very Vanilla, In Color (2012-2014) DSP Stack
Punches: Jewelry Tag, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack
Big Shot: Window Frames Framelits, Beautiful Wings Embosslits
Ribbon: 3/8" Raspberry Ripple Stitched Satin ( you can get this free with a $40 purchase)
Extras: Rhinestones

I store my Framelits in  the Clear Mount stamp cases.  The Window Frames Frameltis are a little too big to fit in the case.  I didn't want to change how I stored them so here is what I came up with.

Window Frames Framelits

I mounted them on the outside of the case with LOTS of Magnet strips.  I was a little dubious about this so I shook the cases and dropped them and the framelits stayed in place.   I can also store more framelits inside of the case.  If I had wall space I probably would have found a way to mount them but wall space is scarce and cabinet doors non existent in my little craft room.

So, what products have you found to be useless to resist?  I will be sharing more of what arrived in my latest box of goodies.  If you have decided it is useless to resist something you can go to my Stampin' Up! online store and order it.  Don't worry about caving in and ordering, you are in good company!
