Stamp Set You're My Type

Awash with Flowers in Poppy Parade

I survived the visit to the dentist and really it was not bad.  Lunch was great and I was introduced to a new place that has a beautiful view. We will definitely be going back again and hopefully next time it will be better weather.  Okay, on to today's card.  You know I love the whole red, black and white combination.  I have really gotten attached to Poppy Parade and black and I will miss Poppy Parade which is one the In Colors that  will be retiring.   I guess that is my way of warning you that you will be seeing a lot of Poppy Parade in my upcoming blog posts.

I am still having difficulties getting good pictures so just imagine that you can see that I used the Perfect Polka Dots TIEF on the Basic Black layer.   You can just barely see that I also stamped on the Poppy Parade layer.  I wanted a little something so I tried stamping in VersaMark and it was not enough.  I also tried using Poppy Parade ink and it was better but still not what I wanted.  Black was too much so I tried Basic Gray and it was just right.  Here is the shortcut I used to stamp the random design.

Awash in flowers block

It was way faster than stamping each one individually and I just kept on turning the block so it would look random.  This is definitely something for me to remember when I am using the clear mount stamps, might as well take advantage of this feature.

You're My Type Tri-Fold Card

It does not happen often enough but when it does it is so much fun.  You know the times when you just get lost in what you are doing, the ideas just seem to come and time passes way too quickly.   I had one of those days and it was great. Here's one of the cards I made.

Just my type foldover card

I kept it pretty simple and you know I like a Black, Vanilla, and a splash of Red color combination.

047It is a tri-fold card and I call it a foldover card.  This is the inside and I kept it simple except for a few more glittery hearts.

Just my type foldover card closure
The foldover flap tucks underneath the heart which helps to keep the card closed.  If you are wondering here is what I used.
