Stamp Set You've Got This

You've Got This

Playing around with the Stained Glass technique.  What is the Stained Glass technique?  Basically you stamp and or emboss an image on vellum and then color it with markers on the back of the image.  While I was doing this I thought what would happen if I brushed some Wink of Stella on the colored image?  What if I put some Fine Tip Glue over that?  Well, this is what happens when you do all that.

I like the Wink of Stella on the petals.  The picture unfortunately does not capture the shine of the Wink of Stella.  I think the Fine Tip Glue caused a little wrinkling of the vellum and while it does add texture I am not sure I love it.  I think I should have stopped after the Wink of Stella.  I wish I had taken some pictures before putting on the glue.

You've Got This Bohemian DSP

Remember this card that I posted on Sunday?  I mentioned that I was using up Blackberry Bliss card bases (4-1/4" x 9") and that I made 2 other cards.  This is card #2.

You've Got This Bohemian DSP

This was the original card that I had cut the bases for.  Doesn't it look very different than the card I posted earlier?

The sentiment is what keeps the card closed.  Did you notice the thick Bermuda Bay Baker's twine?

You've Got This Bohemian Borders

Are you getting tired of seeing the You've Got This stamp set?  I hope not since I have another sample to share with you today.

You've Got This Bohemian Borders

I embossed the flower from You've Got This in black embossing powder on the Bohemian Designer Series Paper (DSP) and then did a little fussy cutting.  I love the way it turned out.

I also used the Bohemian Borders set to add a fun little border at the bottom.  I wanted to introduce the Definitely Dijon color so I could use the yummy 1" Dotted Lace Trim.  The trim is so soft and easy to work with.

You've Got This in Watermelon Wonder

I am patiently (not really) waiting for my first order from the new 2015-16 Stampin'Up! catalog to arrive.  I know that it has shipped and with some luck it will be here by the end of the week.  Come on little brown truck!   In the mean time I have some lovely products from the catalog pre-order that demonstrator were able to do.  Yes, being a demonstrator definitely has its perks.

You've Got This WatermelonWonder 1

As I mentioned in this post I loooove this set.  Here I did a little coloring with an Aqua Painter and the Watermelon Wonder ink refill.  I colored on Shimmery White card stock which is a little sparkly and can stand up to a little water.

You've Got This Watermelon Wonder 3

I used the new 2016-17 In Color Watermelon Wonder.   This is probably the easiest of the new In Colors to start with, at least for me.  It is such a pretty color and is quickly becoming one of my favorites.

You've Got This Watermelon Wonder 2

Don't you love the little striped paper?  This is the new Envelope Paper which comes in the 2015-17  In Colors and Neutrals.  It is a lighter weight than card stock and perfect for making envelopes or use as an accent.
