Stamp sets-Snow Much Fun

Snow Much Fun

Don't ya just love snowmen?  I really like the sweet snowmen from Snow Much Fun.  They don't require a lot of coloring to look good and they are a good size.   Lots of impact with not too much work!  My kind of stamping!

Half z fold closure

Here's a closeup of the card closure.  Do you see the glittery goodness?  Here's what I did.  I stamped in Island Indigo ink and then with VersaMark i inked up the entire image.   Next  I dipped it in Iridescent Ice embossing powder and then heat embossed it.  Easy and glittery !  The rest of the glittering was done with Dazzling Details.  This is going to sound silly but I probably would have never thought about doing this unless I heard it.  Brian Pilling at the Tacoma Regional said he used his finger to spread out the Dazzling Details to cover a larger area.   Yes, it works you just need to wash your hands after.  Along the "snow" line I did just that and I like how it looks!

Here's another view so you can see how the card opens and the folds.  I am heading to Spokane this weekend and I hope I will get to see some of you at the stamping event we are doing.  It is going to be fun!   So, think no snow in the Pass until we get back!

Snow Much Fun and the Holly Berry Bouquet DSP

This little snowman from the Snow Much Fun stamp set has certainly been geting a good work out!  Today's card is not close to the idea I started out with but I think that is a pretty common occurrence when stamping.  After I got the cute little snowman colored I wanted him to hold a banner which brought to mind the banner from the Pines and Poinsettias set.  If I had  known this I would have omitted the snowball but fortunately I found the "merry" from the Tiny Tags set and it just covered up the snowball.  I love it when you find just the right thing to cover up , I mean "embellish" your card.

Snow Burst meets Sahara Sand

Why don't I use Sahara Sand more?  It is such a great neutral color and I think of it as a chameleon, changing to match what is around it.  I wanted to use my new Snow Burst TIEF so on this card the snow is on the sand, how often does that happen?

I love the  Early Espresso with white polka dots DSP.  Wondering what pack it is from?  Berry Blossoms!  Right before making this card I was working on cards using the  Berry Blossom DSP. Another happy accident resulting from the "mess" on the desk!

Here's what i used:

StampsSnow Much Fun and Petite Pairs
Ink: Black Stazon, Watercolor Crayons
Paper: Sahara Sand, Real Red, Whisper White, Berry Blossom DSP
Big Shot: Tasteful Trim, Snow Burst TIEF
Punches: Scallop Oval, Large Oval
Extras: Dazzling Details and Real Red Satin ribbon

Here's the inside of the card.

Here's a little secret.  Underneath the scallop oval is a very crookedly stamped image.  Don't ever take apart my cards.  You will find all kinds of "oops" hidden behind punches, ribbons, and well you get the idea!

Thanks for checking in with me today.  We are expecting a hot day (for Western WA).  It is kind of crazy that the past week has been the warmest week  all summer.  If you need any "cool "supplies head on over to my Online Store.  I appreciate your business and support!

A new month means a new challenge over at Craft Project Central.  Last month I used Snow Much Fun so I thought I would use those cute snowmen again for this month's challenge.

CPC2 Snow Much Fun

I have been thinking about the CPC (Craft Project Central) Creating Pretty Cards Challenge #2 sketch.  I had this idea and finally made the time to sit down and make it.   The card did not turn out exactly how I envisioned it but its close.  You can tell I have a  lot of new product in da house!  As I worked on the card I kept wanting to use more and more of the Holiday mini catalog goodies, it is almost embarrassing.  I think everything  glittery or shiny made it on the card!  So please excuse my lack of restraint and know I  just couldn't help myself.

Were you blinded by all the glittery goodness?
