Artful Amaryllis in White

One of the many bundles in the 2024 September-December Mini Catalog that caught my eye was the Artful Amaryllis.  I don't remember Stampin' Up! ever having an amaryllis bundle before.  I also liked that there were sentiments that could be used for Christmas and beyond.

ArtfulAmaryllis_white

  • Thick Basic White card base 4-1/4" x 11"
  • Lemon Lolly CS layer 4" x 5-1/4" embossed with the Eyelet 3D folder
  • Amaryllis stems/leaves in Lemon Lime Twist with a small bit of Granny Apple Green
  • Basic White  CS Flowers with Lemon Lime ink brushed in the middles with a small Blending Brush
  • Lemon Lolly CS for the centers
  • Iridescent Pearls for the middles
  • Basic White CS cut with the Layers of Beauty Dies
  • Sentiment (Artful Amaryllis set) inked in Granny Apple Green ink

ArtfulAmaryllis_white_in

  • Lemon Lolly CS embossed with the Eyelet 3D folder 1" x 4-1/4"
  • Sentiment from the Artful Amaryllis stamp set inked in Granny Apple Green ink
  • Basic White CS amaryllis with Lemon Lime Twist ink blended in the middle
  • Lemon Lolly center
  • Tiny circle of white glimmer paper (I didn't want the added bulk of adding a pearl inside)

Winterly Tree Tops & the Leaf Collection

WinterlyTreeTops_LeafCollection_side

It is Thursday and time for a new Create with Stamping Friends Challenge.  This week it is a color challenge.

834

I think this is a tough one.  Primarily because Moody Mauve and Soft Sea Foam are not colors I use very often.  This is one of the reasons I think it is valuable to participate in challenges like Create with Stamping Friends, you are "challenged" to use colors and layouts that are outside of your comfort zone.

WinterlyTreeTops_LeafCollection

WinterlyTreeTops_LeafCollection_In

  • Basic White CS layer 4" x 5-1/4"
  • Moody Mauve CS layer 1"  x 4"
  • Soft Sea Foam CS stamped with the Leaf Collection stamp with Soft Sea Foam ink 7/8" x 4"
  • Winterly Tree Tops image inked with Pebbled Path ink on Basic White CS
  • Image colored using Soft Sea Foam and Moody Mauve Stampin' Blends
  • Berries twinkled with Wink of Stella

Simply Zinnia and the Paper Florist Dies

It is Thursday which means it is time for a new Create with Connie & Mary Challenge.  This week it is a color challenge.

CCMC806

I love this color combination!  It looks so summery and happy.  I pretty much knew what I wanted to make when i saw the colors.

SimplyZinnia_CCMC806

Lots of flowers in Basic White, Crushed Curry and Coastal Cabana.   I used the Paper Florist dies and cut the flowers in the color combination and I think they look great!  The card base is Thick Basic White cardstock 4-1/4" x 11").  There is a Crushed Curry layer (4" x 5-1/4") and also a Coastal Cabana paper (3-7/8" x 5-1/8") from the Brights  6" x 6" DSP.

SimplyZinnia_CCMC806_Side

The sentiment is from an upcoming Online Exclusive stamp set called Simply Zinnias that will be released on March 5th.  The sentiment was inked in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and cut out using the Stylish Shapes die.

SimplyZinnia_CCMC806_inside

Inside I added a Crushed Curry CS strip and a flower.  A simple way to decorate the inside of the card.

Enduring Beauty and the Gorgeous Garden Dies

I made this card using the Enduring Beauty bundle for a recent color challenge.  The colors we were challenged to use were Berry Burst, Crushed Curry, Poppy Parade, and Garden Green.  Put on your shades it is a little bright!

EnduringBeauty_GorgeousGardenDies

I stamped the image using Tuxedo Black Memento ink and used the Enduring Beauty Masks and Blending Brushes to color the image in.  It is a fun and easy way to color.  When the coloring was done I used the Enduring Beauty dies to cut out the large bouquet.  The sentiment is from the Sale-A-Bration stamp set, Heartfelt Hellos.  The  set has 6 sentiments and is FREE with a qualifying order.  The sentiment was stamped in Versamark ink on Berry Burst CS (Cardstock) and then heat embossed using white embossing powder.  The sentiment was then fussy cut out.

I first thought about adhering the flowers and sentiment on Berry Burst cardstock but then decided to add more texture by die cutting a piece of Berry Burst CS using the Gorgeous Garden dies.  The leaves were  then applied to a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8"piece of Berry Burst CS.  I love how the leaves look and the tone on tone look.  Around the Berry Burst CS I added a 4" x 5-1/4" Basic White CS layer and then on to a 4-1/4" x 11" Garden Green card base.

EnduringBeauty_GorgeousGardenDies_In

Inside I added a strip of Berry Burst CS embossed with one of the Basic 3D Embossing folders (Online Exclusive)   The butterfly is from the Paper Butterly Accents (2024 Jan-Apr Mini Catalog).  The butterfly was colored using a Blending Brush and Berry Burst and Crushed Curry ink.

EnduringBeauty_GorgeousGardenDies_side

This is definitely a bold and bright color combination!

Perennial Postage and the Perennial Lavender DSP

It is Thursday and time for a new Create with Connie & Mary Challenge.  This week we have a color challenge.

CCMC802

Isn't this a beautiful color combination?  If it looks familiar it is because these are colors that are in the Perennial Lavender DSP.  Once I realized that, it was very easy to put together my card for the challenge.

Softly Sophisticated in Flirty Flamingo

Just a couple more sleeps until the 2024 January-April Mini Catalogue and the 2024 Sale-A-Bration (Jan-Feb) go live.  I am excited about both catalogues and have lots to share with you over the coming days.

Today's card features the Softly Sophisticated bundle, a Sale-A-Bration choice.  This bundle features a Two-Step stamp set and an Embossing folder.  The folder is one that you will reach for over and over, it is like the little black dress of embossing folders.  This is a level 2 bundle and I love it.

SoftlySophisticated_FlirtyFlamingo

Here are all the details.

The lighter color flowers and leaves are second generation ink, meaning they were stamped a second time without inking up the image again.  This is a simple way to get a lighter shade of the original color.

SoftlySophisticated_FlirtyFlamingo_side (1)

If you haven't yet received your 2024 January-April Mini or 2024 Sale-A-Bration catalogues and do not have a demonstrator that you are working with, please let me know.  I would be happy to send them to you.

Fluffiest Friends Just a Note

It is Thursday which means it is time for a new Create with Connie & Mary Challenge.  This week it is a sketch challenge and it was such a fun one.

CCMC793

Isn't it a great sketch?  So many possibilities.

FluffiestFriends_notes

I chose to use the adorable Fluffiest Friends bundle (stamp set and coordinating dies) for the focal point.  The Fluffiest Friends bundle is a part of the Online Exclusives.  This means they cannot be found in any publication/catalog just in the Online Store.  Online Exclusives are released in March, July, and  November.   It is always exciting to have some new stamp sets, dies, papers, and embellishments.  More to look forward to!

The Fluffiest Friends stamp set features 6 adorable animals, a nest, flowers, and bees.  The coordinating dies cut out all the animals and the nest.  The dies also include balloons, grass, leaves, tree branch, and a bee hive.  It is truly adorable set. The hardest thing about this set is deciding which image to use, they are all so cute!  Since I  haven't used the cat image I decided that was the image that was going to get inked up.   I colored the kitty using Smoky Slate, Bubble Gum, and Cajun Craze Stampin' Blends.   I mounted the kitty on a Stylish Shapes circle.

Card base- Night of Navy 4-1/4" x 11" scored at 5-1/2"

Bubble Bath layer- 4" x 5-1/4"

Basic White layer 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" embossed with the 3D Basic Embossing folder, another Online Exclusive

Delightfully Eclectic DSP cut using the Stylish Shapes dies.

Sentiment is from the Go To Greetings stamp set

Sentiment cut using the Sending Dies.

It is a simple card and this layout is a good one to remember.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out what the other members of the design team created with this sketch,

When I saw this color combination it made me immediately think about the All About Autumn DSP.  Unfortunately this beautiful pack of paper was so popular it seemed to sell out as soon as it became available.  I just checked and it is  no longer available and won't be re-stocked.
