Fluffiest Friends Sending Love

Ready for another Festive Friday challenge?   What is the Festive Friday challenge?  The Festive Friday challenge is a bi-weekly challenge that is inspired by a holiday/festivity.  An Inspo list of 10 items is created using the festivity as its inspiration.  To play in the challenge you need to use 3 items from the Inspo list on your project and enter it in the Festive Friday gallery.  We love seeing what you choose from the Inspo list and look forward to seeing what you create.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day!

AstheInkDriesPP1-2018

I modified the January Paper Pumpkin project.  I cut off 1-1/2" from the original card.

Now it holds a tea bag perfectly.

I used the framelits from the Lots to Love Box framelits to hold the tea bag in place.  I enjoy receiving the Paper Pumpkin kit every month.  The stamp sets are on trend and perfect for the upcoming season.  I also like having everything cut and ready for me to create with.  If this sounds like something you might enjoy Sale-A-Bration is a perfect time to purchase a Paper Pumpkin subscription.   Consider it a Valentine's gift to yourself.

Sending Lots of Love

Have you ever gotten an idea into your head for a card and after a little bit realized that it wasn't a great idea after all?  I like how this card turned but it wasn't as quick and easy as I thought it would be.  Let me show you and I think you will see what I mean.

AstheInkDriesLotsofLove

All those little tags!  All those little bows!  All that lining up, in an attempt to get the tags even and straight!  You can tell that  I gave up on the even and straight part and went for pretty even and kind of straight.

The little tag is about 3/4" tall and it is from the Bouquet Bunch framelits.  They are so cute.  The red glimmer hearts were cut using the heart die from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits.   The sentiment is from the Hanging Garden stamp set embossed in white.

This card would make a great Valentine's card.  I hate to mention it but Valentine's Day is coming up pretty quick!

CPC Valentine's Trio

It’s time to get ready for Valentine’s Day!  These projects would be a great way to show your special Valentine that you care.  Give them a little candy treat in the heart pouch, put a little gift into the Valentine gift bag, and let them know you love them by giving them a special double easel Valentine card.  This would also make a great Valentine’s Day class.

Valentine's Day TrioThese great projects were designed by Christy!   To receive the directions on how to make this beautiful trio of projects all you have to do is subscribe to Craft Project Central for the month of January.  In no time at all you will have all the information on how to make these gorgeous projects.

Language of Love Scalloped Tag Candy Holder

I confess I bought a big bag of Ghiradelli Chocolate squares at Christmas time thinking I would make lots and lots of cute little favors.  I did make quite a few favors but I think I  might have eaten even more!  So, instead of eating even more I am going to make these favors using the Language of Love stamp set.

Scalloped Tag Language of Love candy holder

I LOVE that gold is back in style!  I embossed the Language of Love heart in gold on Real Red card stock  and embossed a strip of the Gold Foil paper with the Adorning Accents folder.  Notice the vanilla and gold twine-love!

Here are the basic measurements to make the candy holder.  Cut a piece of Real Red card stock a smidge less than 2"x 6-1/2".  Score 3-1/8"  from each end.  Use the Scalloped Tag Topper punch and punch out both ends.    Add all your gold touches, candy, and tie a bow with the twine and you are done!

Fast, pretty and hopefully this will deter me from eating anymore of the chocolate.  Have a creative day and I will try and stay away from the chocolate.

Today I get to share the project I designed for Craft Project Central.  Valentine’s Day is near and a perfect time to showcase the ones you love.  This Love Banner frame is perfect to display pictures of those special people in your life. We will also make a quick and easy holder for some little love notes and a couple of little cards to put in your holder.  There is also a little bonus project that will come in handy when you want to pretty up a gift card.  This would be a fun project to do in a class and it would make a wonderful gift.

Oh, Hello and Cupid's Arrow

Just wanted to drop by for a quick post.  I have been wanting to do this ever since I laid my eyes on the Oh, Hello stamp set in the Occasions catalog.

Oh Hello heart arrow

The fletching (are you impressed by my knowledge of the anatomy of an arrow?  Don't be I totally Googled "parts of an arrow" and learned it was called a fletching and not the feathery thing at the end of the arrow)) is the chevron patterned stamp from the Oh, Hello stamp set.  I used markers to color the different sections and then cut it out.  The point is fron the  Hearts a Flutter stamp set.  I though it would be cute to carry on the chevron theme.   The large Real Red hearts were cut from the Hearts Collection Framelits and the sentiment is from the Seasonal Sayings stamp set.  The Seasonal Sayings stamp set was originally featured in the Holiday Catalog but has been carried over and can still be ordered.  You can check out all the stamp sets and products that have been carried over on page 36 of the Occasions catalog.

That is it for now.  I am running behind schedule and need to get some paper cut and projects prepared.   I am planning to post again later in the day but to be sure you do not miss any posts become a susbcriber of my blog and you will be notified when I post.  It is easy, just go to the left hand side of the blog and fill in your email address iright below the sign up block for my mailing list. Super simple!

Hope to stamp with you soon!
